Jennifer Knapp on Larry King Live on Friday

The singer/songwriter, who recently revealed that she's gay, is the featured guest

Jennifer Knapp, a former Christian music star who recently revealed that she is in a lesbian relationship, will be the featured guest on Larry King Live on Friday, April 23. The CNN show airs at 9 p.m. Eastern, 6 p.m. Pacific.

The one-time Grammy nominee and multiple Dove Award winner walked away from music in 2003, but has been making a comeback in recent months, doing a number of tour dates and gearing up to release her new album, Letting Go, in May.

Knapp will be joined on Larry King Live by Clay Aiken (a singer who came out two years ago), Pastor Bob Botsford (an evangelical pastor who wants Knapp to repent of her lifestyle), and disgraced preacher Ted Haggard. Knapp is speaking openly and honestly about her lifestyle, while also maintaining that she clings to the Christian faith. Should be a fascinating conversation.

The media looove evangelical celebrities who come out.

Larry king is a master of controversy, so I can understand why he would want to bring together on the same show those persons mentioned in the article. But why, for example, would Ted Haggard want to be in the mix? I really would like to hear what he has to say. Will we hear that he was always been that "way", too?

If the Church ever needed God's help it must be now.

There's a difference between sinning(making a mistake here and there), and living a life in sin. JK knows this stuff. She is knowingly choosing her own path instead of living as God would have her live which is best for her. True Christians are to die to self and live for Him. She must not want to do that anymore.

Saying that you are a devoted Christian and your are gay, is like saying that you are devoted Patriot to the United States and you are also a terrorist member of the Taliban.

Really Dale? May God forgive you for stupid analogy. If you have to contrast and compare, at least come up with a good one dude.

I just finished watching Jennifer on Larry King Live and am really interested in knowing what others think who watched the show. Personally, I felt Haggard dodged alot of questions, Pastor Bob (who I've never heard of) wasn't clear and concise in his answers and Jennifer seemed somewhat cagey .... well, maybe that's not the best word and I'm sure she was feeling defensive already. What exactly does "living a lifestyle of sin" mean? Thanks!

Amazingly Pastor Bob's BLOG about Jennifer Knapp has disappeared as he realized as I did watching the program litigation follows if he does not cease his public comments against her "choice" to be Lesbian. So much for free speech. What is sin is the issue here! Or is there such a thing as sin? The courts call it crimal activity or failure to act civily but Christianity has stopped defining sin. So why is the media so upset with Jessie James and Tiger Woods? Why do their wives leave and file for divorce. Just accept it and go on. It is "our right" to do whatever we feel like. Why should anyone be upset with us, Love is the only thing that matters!! Tiger and Jessie should use this as their defense for what ever their behavior is, "I couldn't help myself I had so much love for those women I had to have Sex with them. We are just growing in our walk with God we are not sinning. What are we growing into? No one knows....according to this program. How can Larry King moderate this type of dialogue with all of his marriage problems? Waste of time.......

I must crow - I again successfully avoided watching or DVRing Larry King and thus avoided hearing KN discuss her intimate preferences.

She will be welcomed in the arms of the liberal church and be a poster-girl for what is wrong with those of us who are conservative Christians.

It's sad that JK does not remember the song she sang in her KANSAS album, called Roman. She admits that her pride pulls her away from God and His love, and then tonight she acted like she really doesn't really know God.

what will become of us? of this nation? What kind of world will my children grow up in and live through as adults? Oh God I pray for our children, that they will know purity of heart and mind and will turn from evil and cling to what is good- that they will not be confused on what your perfect word says, but will have courage to embrace it and obey it with everything in them.

Do not conform any longer to the patterns of this world...

Soddom and Gomorrah ring a bell to anyone?

"Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality, or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people—none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God."
- 1 Corinthians 6.9-10

She was my favorite singer of all time... it saddens my heart so much to know that she has chosen to live a life apart from God. even her lyrics have changed with a few cuss words here and there in her new album. if she can honestly say that her relationship with God is the same, then why the change? i believe if we are attached to the Vine we will bear good fruit.

such a let down.

Love the sinner...Hate the sin!

Larry King is not a believer so of course he loves it when christians fail. And since he is not a believer in Jesus Christ, the bible teaches he is not able to discern godly things. So, give Larry a break.

But, don't give Knapp a break. She is living with open sin in her life and she is of the opinion that she is in a right relationship with God. Well, that's not a part of the bible I read everyday. The Bible I read tells me that to create a god out of God is a sin of the first degree...Do not worship other gods and do not put other gods before me.

If you don't like my comment, oh well. You have to stand before God just like I do someday. I promise not to say, "I told you so" when he says, "Who are you?"

In hindsight, it looks like JK struggled with this for a long time. Go back and listen closely to "Refine Me" and "Hold Me Now" from Kansas, for example. Those two songs have been particularly inspiring to me during times when I struggled w/ my own sins and felt like God had abandoned me. And like some of you, the fact that JK has ceased struggling saddens me.

At the beginning of the interview, Jennifer said that she admits that "love is a choice." Is that a statement that would bother the gay community?

OK God created all things for a purpose. Man has chosen to use many things for what they were not intended. (Free will). For instance, you can take your door off the hendges and lay it over your steps as a ramp. It is used as a ramp but was created to be a door. If our choice to use our body for what they were not intended is inserted into this analogy, sex, over eating and drinking, painting, drug abuse and many more acts are outside of the intented use specified by God. We all have sinned, some keep on sinning and some stop. The question is where do you fit in the growth towards God's will and God with all His Grace and Mercy is the judge. We have an instruction book called the Bible. Who reads the instruction manual comes to mind. Even after reading the manual we choose shortcuts because we think we know better than the creator and sometimes the swing set falls apart and sometimes it lasts forever. God says love your neighbor as yourself. If you made a mistake would you want your neighbor to bash you over the head with it or simply say. I believe that's wrong but here is something to eat. I am more concerned with your hunger right now and as we walk in our relationship you will learn to respect my choices and I yours and God will make the final call. If called to teach teach, If called to feed the hungry, feed the hungry but do it as God walks you through decisions not Man.

let me clarify sex in previous comment or those who choose to insert their own meaning. Sex outside of God's plan.

In Acts 8:3 it says this about Paul: "He began ravaging the church, entering house after house, and dragging off men and women, he would put them in prison.”

I am not aware of any verse that specifically says he murdered anyone. However, there is no question that God has used people in the Bible who have murdered, later, for good. God is a loving, forgiving, God who forgives those who repent. Paul definitely repented for going against Christians, and of course spent the rest of his life trying to convert Jews and Gentiles to Christianity. Let's pray that Jennifer repents and then lives her life like Paul, trying to show others that it is a sin against God. Our bodies are a temple to the Holy Spirit, and defiling our bodies is a terrible sin, an abomination to God.

Jennifer Knapp has not repented that we know of, and is instead flaunting it, therefore, is not forgiven. Again, here is the verse in Hebrews that I've seen posted here:

"If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, 27but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God." Hebrews 10:26-27

That's pretty clear isn't it? I don't understand why people can't grasp it. Jesus told the prostitute to "go and sin no more". He didn't say, "it's ok, I love you no matter what".

Can someone cite the verse where it says he he loves the sinner but hates the sin? In Psalms 5:6 it makes this statement wrong.
6 You destroy those who tell lies;
bloodthirsty and deceitful men
the LORD abhors.

Another point, to those who say all sins are equal, Jesus does not say this. Yes, it's a fact, that committing any one sin would send us to hell if not for our Savior. But that does not logically follow then, that all sins are equal. The Lord affirmed this in His teaching on the speck and the log, which is so often cited here. Obviously, the log is of greater magnitude than the speck. He also affirmed that some sins are of greater magnitude when He said that Caiaphas' sin of delivering Christ to the authorities was greater than Pilate's (John 19:11)

"Jesus answered, "You would have no power over me if it were not given to you from above. Therefore the one who handed me over to you is guilty of a greater sin."

To me if to be gay was a lifestyle then God would have man and man in the garden of eden and it would be writen in the BIBLE, get with the program JK you are in for a long hot place to live your eternity. God gives gift to be used for his glory not to deface his glory...

I watched Larry King and thought that Jennifer came across as an intelligent, sweet, caring woman, while Pastor Bob came across as a bully. Ted Haggard kind of tried to look at both sides of the issue, but it's amazing how much more tolerance he shows for gays since he was thrown out his church for having sex with a gay prostitute.

Clearly sexual orientation is not a choice, but here's my bottom line: Christians (particularly of the conservative bent) are WAY too hung up on sex. They really need to stop telling the rest of the world who they can have sex with, when they can have sex, and why they can have sex. It seems like no one thinks about sex more than Christians do. I suspect it's because they've been so sexually repressed by their belief system that it's constantly on their brain. Get over yourselves - you live your lives and let other people live theirs. It'll make for a much nicer world.

As the pastor quoted, all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.' JK mentioned that anger and greed are sins... And yes they are. A Christian having a struggle against the temptation of porn for instance is one thing. But if they were publicly endorsing participating in porn that is different than falling and repenting. JK had a struggle with it in her heart because she even said she struggled with feeling like she couldn't be a Christian and have homosexual feelings. So obviously there was shame involved or she wouldn't have been in secret about it so long. But I guess she gave in and has decided to believe that a woman having sexual relations with a woman is not sin and is publicly endorsing woman being sexual with women. Is JK confusing love and sexuality? She calls the homosexual lifestyle love. As a woman I dearly love my women friends as friends and mothers and sisters but it is not sexual. It is good to love women in that way and there is a place for natural physical affection that is not sexual. If a woman experiences sexual desire toward another woman than that is not love, that is temptation. We are all tempted in various ways because Satan has temporary control in the world. Whether the temptation is sex outside of marriage covenant, porn, homosexuality, greed, anger, lying, whatever, we have to choose to be children of the light and fight with the word of god which is quick and powerful and sharper than any two edged sword. I don't condemn JK. I have my own struggles in life. I believe she loves God. But she may be believing a lie that the temptation is too big for her to fight or that that is the only way she can get love. I will pray that God would meet her need for love and all of ours in a profound and supernatural way.

Jennifer is in major denial...really this is a PR stunt to book shows and sell CDs. what if she would have decided that marrying her car is what she felt was right? bible doesn't speak against that..either, but.. there is alot more against Homosexuality that is plain in the bible and Jennifer acts like the bible wasn't written when homosexuality wasn't rampant during Greek culture.. How much plainly can this sacred text be in Romans:

Therefore God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, that their bodies might be dishonored among them. For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

"For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error.

People are offended when the darkness that rules them is confronted. People are going to be offended if you say their deeds are sin. The prophets were stoned. John the Baptist was beheaded. Jesus was crucified. And some people choose to love darkness more than light. Temptation is not a sin, and the darkness will attempt to draw all of us away. But Christians are not going to deny that the homosexual lifestyle is not God's will, it does not bear good fruit in a person's life. And people are just going to be offended at this because they want to be accepted and live how they want to live. But hopefully our love will be the witness that we speak the truth. The bible says if we have not love we are nothing but a sounding gong. Jesus came not to condemn the world but to make a way for eternal life. Let's turn ourselves over to God who loves us, who can give us true love and deliver us from all the pain and shame and darkness. He will exchange our old ways for a life of peace. He will give us the desires of our hearts.

In addition, God is love. We are in a fallen world that is suffering in many ways because of sin that has traveled through the generations from the beginning. God did not create little boys to wish they were girls or girls to wish that men would be more like girls or whatever the thoughts are that people have had even since childhood. That would be a cruel torment for God to create somebody and make them the wrong gender. No he did not do that. The whole world is currently under a cloud of darkness. There are wars and rumors and children born with diseases and famines and God is not the cause of all these perversions. But God has made a way of escape for us. It is possible to live a life of peace, to be healed, to have joy, to be free from all fear and torment. And ther Christian life is to love God love our neighbors and bless the earth and bring light to people. God does not want anyone to be in torment and He knows our pain. I think many people have been hurt by those who live in religiosity without understanding the kindness of God. But just because someone is caught in religiosity and quotes the bible does not mean they are representing God's heart. People's ultimate issue is that they desperately need love and don't know how to get it. God is love and if we can tap into that source we can be the whole and restored people we were intended to be. Jesus made that pathway to God for us.

Marie, thanks for your comments! You are absolutely right. I'm a Christian who struggles with homosexual temptations, but I choose to continue fighting those temptations and living for Jesus. I appreciate your wise and respectful statements. That honors God.

Pr Botsford’s clear answers and explanations were very impressive. What a man of God. I wish we had just a few pastors like him in our world today who stand for the truth of God’s word like he does. What a difference between this man of God and the rest of them (Larry, Jennifer and Ted Haggard).

Larry King was a disappointment…a carnal man who knew nothing but purposely cut off the Pastor before he finished his point…but in spite of all that I could clearly see the Holy Spirit helping him to get across the truth. Although not all of them are, pastors are messengers of God. It is sad Jennifer didn’t give a respect to the servant of God (Pr. Botsford) and told him he should leave her alone.

Pastor Botsford is Ezekiel’s of our day for those who have the mind of Christ to understand. He is called to warn people to repent and saved for the Kingdom of God. And he does it because God called him to do so, and it doesn’t depend on what people want, but obey God.

In Ezekiel chapter 3:16-19 it says:
“At the end of seven days the word of the LORD came to me: "Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me. When I say to a wicked man, 'You will surely die,' and you do not warn him or speak out to dissuade him from his evil ways in order to save his life, that wicked man will die for his sin, and I will hold you accountable for his blood. But if you do warn the wicked man and he does not turn from his wickedness or from his evil ways, he will die for his sin; but you will have saved yourself.

"Again, when a righteous man turns from his righteousness and does evil, and I put a stumbling block before him, he will die. Since you did not warn him, he will die for his sin. The righteous things he did will not be remembered, and I will hold you accountable for his blood. But if you do warn the righteous man not to sin and he does not sin, he will surely live because he took warning, and you will have saved yourself."

It’s sad Ted Haggard was not bold enough to call sin, sin. He sounded like he was standing on two islands.

Jennifer landed on the other side of God which is sad. She lived as a child of the Light once, but only God knows how she lost it. However, it is not surprising because Satan can deceive anybody and takes down whoever opens its heart to him. Our Lord says: "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven (Matthew 7:21). So, singing, preaching, etc, cannot automatically make us Christians, but living the Word of God.

Jennifer can be a stumbling block to so many people who are not Spiritually enlightened, especially young people. IT IS ONE OF THE SIGNS OF THE END TIME! It needs serious prayers of the Saints of God.

All of us are sinners who live by the mercy of God’s grace in Jesus Christ, but justifying sin is something else. There is no cheap grace! We cannot mock God (Galatians 6:7). Homosexuality is sin and its name remains so until God gives us another Bible.

Homosexuality is a very dangerous sin that comes in the form of love, which is pointed out by God as an abomination to Him. And that is why Satan uses it to deceive so many people around the world through it. Christians who live the Word of God cannot hate homosexuals, but love them, but never their lifestyle.

Many people say that Jesus never mentioned about homosexuality in the New Testament, therefore it‘s not sin. Jesus didn’t come to rewrite the Law which He did in the Old Testament way before He came to earth. He indicated He is one of the God- Head (Father, son, the Holy Ghost -Three Gods in one) - “And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began (John 17:5). In fact He said, "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets, I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.” (Matthew 5:17)

God who says:
Repent! Turn away from all your offenses; then sin will not be your downfall. Rid yourselves of all the offenses you have committed, and get a new heart and a new spirit. Why will you die….For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone (Ezekiel 18:32) always waits for anyone with open arms.

We thank you Lord for people like Pastor Bob Botsford. May your grace always be a shield to him. Guide him and lead him always so that he remains faithful to your Word - the TRUTH in this sinful world!
God bless!

@Roman: 1. "People's sexual orientation usually starts pretty early." So does people's sinful behavior. Observe any two year old who throws a temper tantrum b/c he doesn't get what he wants. 2."It is an obvious reference to a foreign fertility ritual that involved creatures." Paul gave the symptoms of which included homosexual behavior. Where there's smoke, there's fire. 3."Paul obviously had never talked to a truly gay person, who's natural desire is not with the opposite sex." What is obvious is that you make assumptions you cannot support with evidence. 4."My contention is that Paul didn't know a whole lot." And lets see, how much scripture have you written? (Must be your picture which appears beside the definition for "sanctimony" in Webster's Dictionary)
Leviticus 18:22 " 'Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable.'" Pretty specific. Not too vague. And if you think this only refers to idolatrous practices, thereby excluding as sin current homosexual practice, then you've got to include the rest of Lev. 18 and exclude those practices as sin, too. Are you really serious, then, about approving of beastiality or the other sins listed in Lev. 18 and excluding them as abominations? You can't have your cake and eat it too.

Yesterday my niece came up to me and asked me if I heard about Jennifer Knapp knowing that I really really appreciated her music and have everything she has put out (even have an autographed cd copy of "wishing well" JK's 1st recording) and how much her music used to minister to me. It's been over 4 years now that I gave up on tracking JK expecting her to release some new material and at that time wondered how a person seemingly being used by God could drop off the scene so abruptly. So yesterday when my niece came to been asking if I heard about JK my heart skipped a beat thinking to myself "she's back." I said to my niece JK's released another worship cd and I am the last to know how could this be? My niece said "well, yes she is releasing a new cd but this time not as a Christian...a child of God." My niece went on to explain JK's choice. I never felt like life was being sucked out of me before and I could finally relate to the feeling of emotions in the bowels of my stomach and an overwhelming sense of compassion came over me. A compassion I have to experience on a daily basis for you see I work at a state womens prison and as I witness the results of a life that has been deceived and robbed by Satan my heart cries. Jennifer has been deceived and has chose to accept Satan's thwarted plan over God's perfect plan. After hearing the news from my niece I had to her it for myself so I caught JK's interview on You Tube. As I listened to JK speak every part of my fleshly mind and I repeat mind (you know Satan's playground) wanted to believe JK's reason for justifying her choice and perhaps in translating Leviticus 18:22 from Hebrew or Romans 1:26,27 from Greek to English we have mistranslated Gods view on homosexuality. At that time I just did not want to accept what was true in every part of my being and what I knew to be true in my heart I wanted to supress Gods truth. But God! through His Word and by His Spirit brought me through the darkness and into the light. Homosexuality and the Christian faith can never ever ever be reconciled and a person can't have them both but must chose this day whom they will serve. Like Bob Dylan sung "It may be the Devil or it may be the Lord but your gonna have to serve somebody" and I pray one day Jennifer Knap will chose the Lord. So now JK's music that I have...what do I do? I thought well I will keep her music on my ipod because as computer illiterate as I am it took me and awful long time to get her music onto my ipod. I thought to myself well since Jennifer Knapp's music won't work for her maybe it can still minister to me. So I grab my ipod loaded up a JK song and can't get passed 15 sec. of a song. I decided for myself to delete Jennifer Knapp from my ipod but have not come to discarding her cd collection yet in the hopes as many people pray for her, and I know we are, that Jennifer will repent, return and be restored unto our precious, wonderful loving God!

My Thoughts and Post on King's website:

Larry, you asked some questions last night that I believe deserve better answers. 1) Is homosexuality a choice? 2) Can you be both gay and a Christian? 3) Is homosexuality a worse sin than any other sin? 4) Is God the Creator of sin?

1) Is homosexuality a choice? A better question is does it matter whether homosexuality is biological or a choice? The answer is no. For example, a baby born to slave parents is still a slave accountable to his master even though he had no choice as to who his parents are. Slavery, of course, is wrong and is one reason why God likens our sinful condition to that of slaves in a slave-market. Christ came to free us of our bondage to sin and the devil but if we reject His grace He will still hold us accountable for our sinful condition. We tend to think accountability and responsibility are synonymous but they are not. Responsibility involves ability and therefore is a limited concept involving merit and reward whereas accountability is a universal term involving legalities and can be independent of choice.

2) Can you be both gay and a Christian? A better question is can you be a Christian who struggles with homosexual desires? The answer is yes. All Christians struggle with sin. The point is the Holy Spirit changes those He indwells such that what was once acceptable no longer is and therefore we start resisting sinful urges. While a gene may not be classified a choice the decision to act upon it is. There is a difference between struggling with sin and embracing it. If one embraces a sin it indicates the Holy Spirit is not in them and therefore that person does not belong to God and if he dies in that condition will not spend eternity with God.

3) Is homosexuality a worse sin than any other sin? A better question is do some sins have worse consequences than others? The answer is yes. Obviously murder takes a non-replaceable life whereas theft merely takes a replaceable object. What makes the consequences of homosexuality worse than others is that God says in Romans chapter one He gives those who embrace such a lifestyle up to a reprobate mind. If a person and/or a nation embrace such a lifestyle they will no longer experience God's blessing and guidance; but, rather will be left to their own imagination.

4) Is God the Creator of sin? A better question is how could a perfect God create free-willed beings like Himself and impart to them perfect knowledge and understanding of sin without being the Author of it? Perhaps an even more important question would be if God is going to create multiple free-willed beings then what is the root of all sin that He would obviously have to deal with? The answer to this question is self-centered pride. Self-centered pride is the result of two wills colliding and one being hurting another to get their desires satisfied. The answer to the first question involves two parts. The first is to create a being like Lucifer who was full of wisdom and perfect in beauty but who let his wisdom get corrupted by comparing himself to God and desiring the glory due God alone. Thus the perfect created being, Lucifer, fell and became the devil of his own accord. The second part would be to create the perfect prototype environment in which He could place humanity for the express purpose of letting sin destroy it. Adam and Eve were created righteous and, note, without the knowledge of sin thus the prohibition. God, in His wisdom, permitted the devil to deceive Eve and thus thrust all her offspring into sin in order to impart the perfect knowledge and understanding of sin and its consequences without being the Author of it. God is simply in the process of creating perfect free-willed beings like Himself by exterminating the self-centered sin of pride; a sin which He cannot be blamed for.

I personally love Jennifer Knapp and am so proud of her for being open and honest, and not living a life of a hypocrite like many of us Christians do.

May God Bless her & guide her...and may the rest of you, learn how to love as Christ loves.

I guess since I'm not an evangelical or fundamentalist, I look at this differently...I'm Catholic. But to me the fact that she was quibbling over what the Greek or Hebrew really meant (saying that maybe we got the translation wrong) just showed such a misunderstanding of the issue. Or maybe it was a rationalization. I can't believe that God would let something SO enormously important depend on whether we translated the text properly. My God is so much bigger than that. When I hear arguments like that, I just see such a total lack of understanding of who God is and His plan for us and for marriage and family and sexuality.

I love Jennifer Knapp, she is absolutely my favorite artist of all time. I have all her CD's, and I have several songbooks. I have worked hard teaching myself to play her songs on guitar. One of her songs was my first dance at my wedding. To me her music was so real, so sincere, someone who was constantly digging deeper into the heart of God. It is hard for me to understand how she could have lost that. I am still struggling with my feelings on the matter.

I think homosexuality is a very complex matter; it's really far too complex to analyze the causes of it here. I don't think we choose our attractions, but I know that we choose our behaviors. She said herself she was celibate for 8 years. I even remember her talking about her own sexual sin in college...she knows what that means...I think she is being very dishonest with herself and that is just puzzling to me since that doesn't seem to be who she is. Or rather, who she was.

What Jennifer is doing does have a significant impact on our culture. The current phenomenon that I see (I work with teens) is glorification of same sex experimentation, at least among young women. If you don't believe me, go spend some time in a middle school or high school and you will see. It is the trendy thing now to be "bi-curious." This has nothing to do with sexual orientation or how someone was born. I'm not AT ALL saying that this is what is going on with Jennifer or with many other gay people or people who struggle with same sex temptations. But it is real and it is happening I do believe it will have ongoing, powerful effects on these young women and the next generation.

I will be praying for Jennifer Knapp.

I was very surprised when back in April or May I found out that Jennifer was lesbian. I have her Kansas and Lay It Down cds and even a autograph poster still hanging on my bedroom wall. I still love her music and find that it still ministers to my soul. But I will not be buying her latest cd Letting Go due to its content in the lyrics. I am praying that this artist will find her way back home to God soon.

It's so sad what is happening to all these Christian artists, but like the rest of us we all fall short of the glory of God and we are capable of living lifestyles such as the one that Jennifer has chosen to live. We need to pray for wisdom, guidance, and stand strong in the Lord always.
