Despite her wish to keep religion and politics separate, she, like her husband, developed a fondness for President Richard Nixon. When Nixon was hospitalized following his resignation, she paid to fly a banner outside the hospital that read: "Nixon we love you. So does God."

I remember a crusade of 1975. It was at Ballgame and called UROfest75. Billy was there, and I think his wife Ruth too. We felt a team of partners in prayers and ministry. Our group of Egypt was 120 people still remember that crusade. We love evangelism and prayer because of the Grahams.

Ruth's fondness for Nixon must have been based on true forgiveness. I'm a Christian who has had a hard time forgiving Nixon for: 1. As Vice President going to South Viet Nam, making a deal with the Dictator and his American Trained army and coming back and talking Ike into not supporting the UN Plebesite to Unite Viet Nam' 2.
