Immediately after becoming a Christian in November, 1974 ; I joined a local Baptist church here in the Fort Worth, Texas area. I was 24 at that time. Shortly after joining the church and getting baptised ; I learned of a newly formed evangelism class. It was EE. Myself and several others were allowed to attend a week's long training session in different parts of the country. I was connected with an evangelical Lutheran church in Deer Park, Texas ; near Houston. I stayed in the home of a church member couple. They were very cordial and offered up their home without any reservations. My study time there was like going back to school. I was very honored and excited about being able to study how to better share my new faith in Jesus Christ. After returning to my home church ; I, and the other students now became ' trainers ' to help many more people in our church to effectively become ' soulwinners ' for Christ. It has been many years since that intial learning experience ; but, I can truthfully say that the EE program was the catalyst for my continuing desire to see the lost coming to know Jesus Christ as their Saviour. Someday, I know that I shall see Jesus ; and, someday I shall meet Dr. Kennedy ; along with those other people that have been affected by his ministry. Thank you Dr. Kennedy ... D. L. Davis

Dr. Kennedy has been a great inspiration to me. His Evangelism Explosion was a guide and model for me to follow and teach over the last thirty years of my ministry. Many have come to know the Lord through his ministry and his fervent preaching and teaching. The Church has lost a great leader. May the Lord raise many others to fill the void he has left to carry on the work of evangelising the world, and reclaiming America for Christ.
Blessed be his memory, Psalm 112:6

Dear Mrs Kennedy, Your husband was the epitamy of this verse: "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up" Galatians 6:9.He called all to action and war, war against passivity and tolerance. He was a mighty general calling all to action not just prayer. He as a blessing and was blessed. I and my sister and her husband were blessed meeting Dr Kennedy in the bookstore at his church. Thinking we missed our chance to meet him, he came up behind us, putting his hands on our shoulders. We chatted about us being Kennedys too. He said (Kennedys were horse theives from Scotland long ago)I said, "yeah, that would have been our family! He was very friendly and jovial. We will always cherish our brief but powerful moments with Dr Kennedy. He lived to be used by God.
