'Drooling' Over Caspian

An ominous headline for the new Narnia movie.

A USA Today headline: Barnes brings sexy back to 'Narnia'

Sheesh. I don't want sexy in Narnia. I just want Narnia the way Lewis imagined it.

And what do they mean "back" to Narnia? Did I miss the sexy the first time around? Did it leave? Was Mrs. Beaver really hot?

I'm already getting nervous -- and hoping that if it's not too late, director Andrew Adamson has read this..

Comments

Good Heavens! 'Sexy' in Narnia? God forbid.

Mark,

You don't remember Mrs. Beaver being sexy? Did you even read the Chronicles of Narnia??? One way or another, I am DEFINITELY sure that I'd never thought of Prince Caspian as sexy... Maybe I need to go reread...

Caspian isn't SUPPOSED to be sexy. He's 13 according to Past Watchful Dragons (by Walter Hooper)

I have a very bad feeling about the rest of the movie if the director and producers felt the need to make Caspian "sexy".

Prince Caspian is not supposed to be Hispanic. This is the last time I go back to Narnia with Disney. Apparently, being true to Lewis's book is not as important as snagging as much of the Latino
market as possible.
