Where Christians Are Persecuted
Open Doors' World Watch List makes some changes in annual list of countries that violate Christians' rights, but North Korea, Saudi Arabia, Iran stay at the top.
Open Doors has released its list of countries where Christians are most persecuted. Their 50-question survey asks both about Christians' legal status and what actually happens to them.
North Korea is at the top of the list for the seventh year in a row. It scored a 90.5, putting it in a category by itself, 32.5 points beyond Saudi Arabia and Iran. "The North Korean regime believes that it will collapse if it fails to stop the spreading of Christianity," Open Doors explains.
They list Saudi Arabia, Iran, Afghanistan, Somalia, Pakistan, Iraq, Mauritania, Algeria, India, Nigeria (North), Indonesia, Bangladesh and Kazakhstan as countries where Christians' freedom has deteriorated.
Countries that improved include Bhutan, China, Turkmenistan, Vietnam, Azerbaijan, Sudan (North), Zanzibar Islands, Cuba, Turkey, and Colombia.
Comments
If anyone from these countries can read my comments, I want to tell you that we are with you in our spirits. You are our brothers and sisters. If you suffer, we suffer. You are not alone. We will meet someday.

Dear sir,
Praise God that He has blessed me to be a part of the country India. Recently this country was in news all because we are being persecuted here. But when I read that there are countries where persecution is severe than ours I remember the words of Jesus who had said for my sake you will be hated and persecuted. And our Saviour is the truth and we are really blessed to be persecuted for His name sake. Let His name be glorified. Yes we will meet soemday. But we only pray that He gives us the strength to hold our race and faith till the end. We pray for other countries.

Our Lord said, "In this world you will have trouble, but be of good cheer. "I have overcome the world!" We pray for our brothers and sisters who suffer and die under persecution in many places. These are the ones accounted worthy to suffer in ways most of us cannot imagine. The true martyrs of Christ. We are separated by many miles over the earth, but we are one body. When one part suffers we all suffer. Our prayer is for unity in Christ's body. Let us labor in heartfelt prayer for our persecuted brethren. We do not only pray for an end to persecution, but even more for Jesus Christ's glory. May the persecuted and persecutors alike be blessed with His transforming light.

It's sad to learn that there are brothers and sisters in Christ subjected
to cruel persecution in other countries that do not enjoy the freedoms and
blessings we do in our democratic regimes. It's even more sad that we are
barely aware of it due to the fact that our press and media are not interested in making these type of news available to the public. What our
brothers and sisters in Jesus have to suffer in terms of horror, repression
and oppression under non-democratic regimes and non-christian cultures can
not be hidden from us their brothers and sisters, and it is our duty to
help them in every way and manner possible, from praying, fasting, sacrifi
cing, offering mass to providing food, economic aid, medicine, communicati
on and escape from their countries and refuge to them and their loved ones. We must all unite and solidarize with them, and pray that one day
both they and us, like the children of Israel when freed by God from Egypt, will be free to adore Our Sweet Savior and Lord Jesuschrist and
serve him humbly and sincerely. We must heavily struggle that all form of
oppression to christians anywhere in the world ends. That Our Mighty
Saviour will one day set us all free from sin as well as from persecution
and likewise grant the gift of conversion to our persecutors and oppressors, so that they one day may come to the holy feet of Jesus and
taste his love, tenderness, compassion and forgiveness and the everlasting
joy of feeling saved. May God Almighty be forever blessed and honored!
