Was Michael Jackson a Christian?

Initial rumors that the King of Pop had accepted Christ may have been false

michael-jackson.jpg

JUNE 30 UPDATE:
The Bully! Pulpit, a pop culture news blog, reports that rumors that Michael Jackson accepted Christ may have been false. Jackson, who died of cardiac arrest last week at the age of 50, was rumored by some to have become a Christian just weeks before his death.

Gospel singer Andrae Crouch and his twin sister, singer and minister, Sandra, apparently visited Jackson recently at the pop star's request, and they did pray together. But exactly what they prayed depends on whom you ask.

Last Friday, gospel duo Mary Mary blogged on their Facebook page that Jackson "prayed with Sandra and Andre and accepted Christ into his heart. Now he's singing in the heavenly choir! Our hearts rejoice!"

But the Bully! Pulpit reported that that wasn't the full story, or even fully accurate.

On her Facebook page, Sandra Crouch wrote, "It has been brought to my attention that several media outlets have been erroneously reporting that my brother, Andrae Crouch and me met our dear friend Michael Jackson several weeks prior to his death so he could accept Christ. This is incorrect and absolutely not true.

"We loved and respected Michael enormously and we've been friends with him for many, many years, and are deeply saddened by his sudden and tragic death. We recently met with Michael to discuss recording two songs with our choir for his newest recording project. Michael always had a respect and curiosity for spiritual things. During our meeting, not unlike many other creative/music meetings we've had with him the past, we sang together, prayed together and had a wonderful time. We are praying for Michael's family and desire nothing less than God's best for them."

A spokesman for Andrae Crouch added that at the meeting, Jackson "asked for prayer concerning the anointing of the Holy Spirit . . . So Andrae and Sandra explained to him about the anointing and about Jesus."

But did the legendary singer pray to receive Christ? The Crouch spokesman responded: “He did NOT reject Jesus or the prayer when (we) prayed, and gladly joined in prayer . . . There was NO actual ‘sinners prayer’ however, but they did talk and pray about Jesus and the anointing of the Holy Spirit."

The Bully! Pulpit story also said that Jackson, forbidden as a child from celebrating Christmas because of his Jehovah’s Witness faith, still had Christmas decorations up in his home in June.

The negative influence of the teachings of the Jehovah's Witnesses on Michael and his family have been either downplayed or totally ignored for as long as the Jackson Family has received public attention. For those readers who really want to know what life is like to be reared in the WatchTower Cult, nothing beats real world scenarios, and of real world scenarios, nothing beats actual civil and criminal court cases.

The following website summarizes 900 court cases and lawsuits involving children of Jehovah's Witness Parents. The summaries demonstrate how JW Families rear their children and live life day-to-day. Also included are nearly 400 CRIMINAL cases -- most involving MURDERS:

So....all it takes is a prayer? What about repentance?

We need to live beyond words to deeds also

Well, I am not sure as he never professed any while alife as long as I know. But what matters is the relationship he had with God. None of us can say whether he is at the bossom of the father now or not. Let us not put ourselves in the place of judgement.
http://loveyourspouse-loveyourspouse.blogspot.com/

Do not forget what Jesus said to the theif on the cross, "today you will be with me in paradise". Who are we to judge MJ? I pray to God that he sits with Jesus right now. Let us take this as all the more reason to tell others about Christ and not be too scared to share Jesus with others..

Romans 10:9 tells us that if we confess with our mouth that "Jesus is Lord" and believe in our heart that God raised him from the dead, then we will be saved. I wouldn't be so quick to judge Michael Jackson because we all sin and we really do not know him personally. We're all imperfect so let's respect the fact that this man has died and a family is grieving. If this article is true and he did in fact accept Jesus as his Savior, then I am thrilled that he finally has peace and is in paradise.

No one will ever really know except the Father, but during his life, Michael was definitely a seeker as he met with many different people during his life like Deepak Chopra, Dick Gregory, the Crouches, etc.

Is this really an appropriate question? Only Father ultimately knows who are his. It seems to me that this is a pointless discussion. I'm really kind of disappointed that Christianity Today would ask such a question that just leads to speculation and gossip.

I think Michael was more talented at 10 years old,
then most everyone else (who was not a Beatle) at age 50.

It appears he was abused,
and the Jehovah's Witness teaching will hammer any child.

Also it appears he had the emotional level of a child.
Not withstanding his hyper sexual/dance music and lyrics.
He couldn't kiss his wife in public, it's sad.

Jesus knows us better than we know ourselves.

I am inclined to believe Michael loves Jesus.
But I am only someone who never met him.
I am sad that he was not able to show what he was capable of
in his comeback concert series.

No one of us knows if we will be breathing tomorrow

Michael is now in the hands of our Savior.

may God rest his soul

This is not for us to say and I think it is wrong for us to even speculate about it. I, too, am surprised that Christianity Today brought it up.

What if all our stuff was publisized? Michael was seeking I salute
Andre and Sandra Crouch for loving Michael and speaking the truth to him about Crist and the Holy Spirit The Pharisees are alive and well on plantet earth so who should be repenting and saying the "sinners prayer?" Tears can be silent prayers and I believe Christ heard Michaels cry for help. It seems the King of PopH MET THE King of the Universe and I don't think any amount of repenting would have been enough for some people

It certainly would have been great if Michael Jackson would have repented and I could pass on some good news. It is very sad that Andrae Crouch, and his twin sister visited Jackson, stating they are close friends of his and loved and "respected" him. This is absolutely crazy and represents the vile ecumenical movement of our day. Who would want to be friends with a sexually depraved man who had no problem molesting children—paying over 22 million to keep families silent, who grabbed himself when he performed sexually, sung sexually perverse songs, and on and on?

Unfortunately, Andrae and his sister made Jackson feel like he was a Christian and had mock fellowship with this vile man, singing worship songs, praying, etc. They actually wanted him to record two Christian songs with a choir! Unbelievable! Obviously, this was all for money reasons and to play in satan's ball field.

I do believe this is a publicity stunt to sell more of Jackson's filthy and nasty recordings and videos. This whole grotesque scenario is from the pit of hell.

Believers are to come out and be separate and not fellowship with the vile people of this earth. We are to witness to them and to all, but we are to even hate their garments polluted by the flesh as Scripture commands; Jude 23. We don't win the lost by becoming one with their vile activities. This is totally blasphemous and pains the heart of Jesus Christ who is all chaste purity, holds to innocence, is undefiled, and is separated from sinners; Hebrews 7:26.

you have absolutely no right to put yourself on a high and mighty pedastal where you can sit on your butt, judging people as if you were God. number one Michael Jackson never molested those kids. if you ever watch any of his interivews you can tell clearly that he was loving and shared alot. those kids took back what they said about him after his death. the parents only wanted the money from him and his life was completely ruined by those alligations.
number two: he was very into God, he loved giving to others in need. you need to seriously do some reasearch first before getting on Michael Jackson.
yes he did some wrong things in his past, and all his songs are not holy, but you my friend, are no more righteous than him. he was not the scum of this Earth and you do not know the relationship he had with the Lord. so if you don't have anything nice to say about the late Michael Jackson, do not say anything at all!

it pains me to see such a judgemental Christian. where is the love that the Lord told you to show? i do not see it in your words at all. You need to really tone down your hate, because God do not like ugly!

While I do believe it is not good for Christians to make a habit of hanging out with sinners, i.e. not taking the time to be a light, but partaking in their sin. I do believe that we have to pray with them and fellowship with them, always keeping the Father at the forefront. That is what appears to have been happening between Michael and the Crouches. They were being good Christian friends. I pray that even if Mike didn't accept Jesus that day, his curiosity in the things of Christ, led him to pray to God for himself and really seek redemption. Only God knows, but I believe he had opportunity - which proves how just our God is. I really do hope to see Mike in Heaven.
I had a friend whose dad was an unbeliever, he went into the hospital and had just enough time between consciousness and unconsciousness to accept the Lord. When Mike's doctor found him, he had a faint pulse. Who are we to judge? I believe he had a gentle soul and spirit and that everyone deserves to finally rest in peace. RIP Michael!!!

I will be overcome with j o y if Michael prayed to The Lord above, I will be so happy. Just knowing he was visited by these Christians makes me pleased enough. I love The Lord, and The Lord loves everybody including Michael. I know God is watching over Michael in heaven, you can just tell. God is good. Thank you Lord, and RIP Michael.

Andrae' and Sandra did NOT lead Michael Jackson to the Lord, It is a rumor. Please spread the "truth" as quickly as the rumor has spread. (By Dave, Page administrator)

I do believe he is with the almighty though, Sleep well MJ. Loads of Love on behlaf of me and my family xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Michael Jackson converted to Islam a few years back. It was on TV and his own brother Jermaine had also converted. So this story while it would be nice to believe is simply not the case.

Attention Christians Only! Micheal Jackson Witness Opportunity!?

We are All aware that Micheal Jackson has passed away. How can two prominent Christian figures some would describe as Christians deny the opportunity to witness to Micheal Jackson when they had the chance. You mean to tell me that their song projects were more important than talking to Micheal Jackson about salvation and leading him in the sinner's prayer. Sandra Crouch said made the rumors clear when she said we did not lead Micheal in the sinners prayer. That is not the "Killing Part" she said that he asked her about spirituality and what the holy spirit was! You have Got to be Kidding ME!

The most important thing in this life is love and acceptance, which was given and shown to Michael by Andrae Crouch and his twin sister.Every other thing either spiritual or moral should be left for God to decide.

It is interesting that most persons remember the allegations of sexual misconduct but not the acquittal. The sad reality that money creates in this world is far removed from some objective views of whether the man abused children or not; it is non sequitor that this man abused children yet undisputedly won custody of children months later.

But, it is also interesting that persons would think that MJJ had to pray the sinner's prayer with Andrae Crouch and sister--like other Christians aren't capable of evangelical opportunity? Nurses? domestics? fans? How limited in viewpoint.

God blessed Michael with inimitable talent. Through his beautiful voice, amazing dance, and tireless devotion to others, God worked miracles through Michael Jackson.

However, his neglected childhood would become the catalyst that would combust in a lifetime of struggle. Many do not realize Michael was truly a child. The human brain is not fully developed until we are in our 20s. Michael never experienced a childhood. He never enjoyed the years that would teach him the many things he would later need in life. And by his own admission, he over compensated for it. While he was gifted, intelligent, and well read, these lost formative years deprived him of insight into boundaries, intimacy, love, choices, and the difference between intelligence and common sense. When Michael Jackson was entering his 20s, his Pop star was on the rise. While on one side, Michael Jackson stood as a genius entertainer and businessman, Michael stood on the other as a boy destitute of significant childhood experiences that would balance his life.

Michael once pleaded in the autobiographical lyrics of “Childhood”, “Before you judge me, try hard to love me.” Jesus said, “Do not judge, lest ye be judged.” The dichotomy of Michael Jackson was clearly a complex mix of brilliant superstardom that rose so high, you had to look down to see heaven and a journey so low you were blinded by the depths of his despair.

In addition, what many have overlooked is that Michael Jackson used his musical influence to help special needs, at risk, and sick children across the world. Throughout his life, he contributed $300 Million to worldwide charities, relentless in his fight to help others. Please read more at http://www.examiner.com/x-7230-Atlanta-Special-Needs-Kids-Examiner~y2009m6d25-Thank-You-Michael-Jackson-for-your-life-long-charity-work.

Finally, Michael had medical issues. He chose not to share his medical history with the media. These conditions provided even more fodder for media mayhem. Folks, there were reasons why he covered his head; his face…why he wore masks. The media brutalized a lovely human being. Often misunderstood, Michael would spend a lifetime facing unyielding pressures and scrutiny while he tried to live a balance between the professional and the personal, always attempting to overcome the boundaries between the surreal and the real. Until his death, he searched for truth, and through his inner child, I am convinced that God called him home.

Look at this verse - Matthew 18:2 - 3 And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

What if we simply believed that verse? What if that were the only thing Jesus spoke during His three year ministry, and our salvation depended completely on that verse? Would it be enough to convince you? Could you do it – could you become as a child again? Of course it’s not the only thing He said but I think it is one of the most important things and He wouldn’t have said it were it not true.

God knew Michael’s heart. And it is only God’s acceptance that Michael needed. Until his dying breath, Michael could receive the Lord; accept the gift of salvation. I like to think in his final moments, the Holy Spirit came upon him, and not only did Michael accept, he ran into the open arms of his Lord. At last, he has found rest.

Please take a moment to share in this lovely video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U67qJybKwY0
I really think this represents the heart of the man whose name was Michael Jackson.

Michael Jackson was totally Christian! Not just then but he was before. I was never baptised, but I still believe in God and his faith and I accept him. If you guys here michael talk to Geraldo on his interview (look it up on youtube it's all there) he mentions God's faith several times, how he prays, how he went to church tons of times when he was younger, etc. He's nothing BUT Christian I think.

I agree with the writer earlier....the thief on the cross....is it recorded he repented and prayed the sinner prayer.no its not......the Holy Spirit hadnt even come into the world as yet because Jesus was still in the earth....The bible says it is God that draw us unto him...the very fact that Micheal Jackson requested them to come was the working of the Holy Spirit drawing him to the Father....To hear he wanted the Holy Spirit to be in his concert is a witness to me that he wanted the people to experience what the Holy Spirit has to offer.....what a testimony...How many christian go to work every day and dont tell thier co-workers about Jesus...and we have the nerve to talk about Micheal Jackson....He wasn't ashamed according to the report...He believed...who so ever believed in the Lord shall be saved..He was about to evangelize the world......through the Holy Ghost...how about that.....Micheal Jackson has a heart as a little child the bible says do not turn them away...through his loving heart and the williness to pray with the Crouches that was the Lord's doing....he could not of prayed had it not been for the Holy Spirit....He had a humble heart...not prideful.....

Father I thank you for allowing us Christians who loved Micheal to hear about this report...you have comforted us once again....Thank you for loving Micheal Jackson and even in his weakness you are Strong....so many times the enemy came to destroy him and You delivered him..every time..... and even in his passing we rejoice....because he's in Your presence...You who began a good work in Micheal Jackson is faithful to completed it....I recognize your goodness in his life...thank you for the blood that was shed for his sins thank you for Jesus our Lord and Savior...I worship You and adore You You are Faithful and True.....love kim

YEA LOOK AT MJ INTERVIEWS WITH GERALDO AND MANY OTHERS HE WAS ALWAYS A CHRISITAN AND IM PROUD OF HIM BECAUSE I WANT HIM TO GO TO HEAVEN!

The Lord's Word was written on Michael's heart I believe.
Thank you Father for your comfort at this time, in Jesus name.

Any heaven Michael heads to is a thinly disguised hell.

I really believe Michael Jackson went to heaven. We cannot judge a person by their past..only by their acceptance of Jesus Christ as their Savior, the moment they receive Christ into their lives. Michael was always opened to Christianity and often went to church with Steve Harvey who's also born again. Michael was a seeker of truth. Everyone has the opportunity to receive Christ, no matter what walk of life. Michael, see you in heaven! Remember to keep singing and praising Jesus!

God Loved Michael Jackson. God knows the heart of man and searches those hearts that God can bring to himself. Michael was unwittingly calling to God through the crouches.

The lord sent these two to be involved with MJ and pray for him and with him.

God accepted the thief on the cross by the "skin of his teeth", Please folks understand this. Jesus sung his song through michael whilst he was jackson 5 (i'll be there (Jesus)) Listen to the lyrics about salvation.

God is merciful and took Michael, because he told God I can't take anymore and God chose his moment knowing that to do 50 concerts is beyond his health!

Bless you all in Jesus' name for reading this AMEN!

I wonder since Michael Jackson was an artist, probably the most compelling artist of our time if it could be possible that MJ accepted Christ during the time they worshiped together since music is what moved and inspired Michael Jackson the most?

I am a big Michael Jackson fan and grew up in the Santa Maria area where he was trailed for a child molestation case and since his death I have been wondering if he ever accepted Christ as his Savior before he passed. The couple of times I saw Michael Jackson I could not surpass his genuineness and remember always feeling bad because of all the people who ridiculed him, if we deeply think about it, this is exactly what people did to Jesus and Jesus helped people just as Michael did by giving to over thirty charities. By all means he was not our savior like Jesus is, however he did his part here on earth whether it was by inspiring us by his music or by donating to charities.

I also remember how he would open Neverland Ranch for all to come in the Santa Inez area where my husband and I married. What kind of celebrity does this, open his home like this? Regular people don’t even welcome strangers into their homes.

My thoughts and prayers are with his family and I only hope that he is heaven where a remarkable human being of his kind deserves to be. Being Black or white didn’t matter to him as stated in one of his songs, how many people do we know whom truly believe this, yet sing their heart out about for all to hear?

To Yvonne, if all christians were to separate themselves as you put wrongfully divided the word, how would we witness to the unsaved. We mingle with the unsaved everyday, at work, school, shopping, etc. How many people have you led to Christ. Or are you too "Saved" for that. No one knows what occured between Michael and the Lord before he departed this life and we shouldn't be so quick to judge.

I'm glad to see that "accepting" Christ has been watered down to saying a prayer. This is why Christianity in the United States is so far from biblical truth that it's no wonder why people can't see Christ in believers, that is if they really are believers in the first place. Beliving on Christ isn't just saying a "prayer" and it's over and you live life the way you want to live and then when you pass on and stand before God to hold an account of your life and say, "Hey God, here's my ticket! I prayed the prayer, I asked Christ to come into my life and I'm ready for heaven." That is probably the most misguided truth I've ever heard. Romans 10:9-10 says, "That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved." The verse asserts confessing and humbling yourself before God and realizing who He is and who we aren't. This isn't something done once, it's something that's done DAILY. Continously turning back to the cross to realize your deep need for Christ in your life and the change that only he only can stir within your heart. Believing is more then a prayer, it's the way you live you life. Christ demonstrated his love for us by dying on the rugged cross not by making a mere statement of "I love you." Love is demonstrated in action not words. Your love to Christ, your believe, is nestled away in your heart but seen by the way you live out each day. It's not saying a prayer it's giving your LIFE away to the one who gave his life for you.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B8JzyaPiayo&feature=related

Praying a prayer and accepting Jesus "in our hearts." That is Americanized Evangelical Christianity at its worst. Where is all that in scripture. That would be the easiest way to make false converts for sure. Many have done the same thing with no remorse or repentance over sin. When will we stop using mans methods and follow Biblical examples of repentance and faith in Christ unto Salvation?
Sad!

All I can say is wow. I know that Jesus Christ is my savior an I know that he is GOD of Love.. That he loves every single one of us, no matter what we have done good or bad. I think what is troubling to me the most as a Christian is that there is so much anger from other Christians about the possibility of Michael Jackson's salvation. I think that this is what truly keeps non-believers from coming to Christ. We are so quick to judge others, when the bible says judge not lest ye be judged. We are so quick to condemn others actions, when we will go out and do the same thing. We are not perfect. Please don't kid yourselves into thinking you are. Christians can backslide and fall off just as good as anybody else. Jesus Christ gave this commandment before he left earth. That you should love one another as I have loved you. We are not to participate in the actions of the world and be like the world. We are however supposed to go and tell the world about Jesus Christ. Jesus didn't give a timeline on when someone can be saved. However for those that are saved now.. we are supposed to go out and share the good news, where ever we go.

I very clearly heard more than once Michael give God credit for his talent. I choose to believe Michael is in heavenly place.

To Michael’s Children, Family, and Loved Ones of Michael Jackson hoping this comforts your hearts--

Michael and our house.
Mom’s (83 years old) youngest child, Ted (two years Michael’s junior and now gone home with the Lord), would watch Michael with legs crossed, three feet away from the TV absorbing Michael Jackson’s everything. We loved Michael too. He was in our home - part of our lives.

Michael gave us so much.
His love, creativity, devout attention, energy, and all those things words cannot begin to describe which flowed fluently planting the seeds of his passions and talents. Decades of his life were dedicated to giving. Michael, ---- hmmmm, ---- Michael over and over again delved into the depths of humanitarianism, social commentary, unexplored heights of creativity, and our very hearts successfully. We greatly benefited!

A soft answer turns away wrath.
In the face of great troubles we witnessed his response, ”That’s not nice.” He also responded with creative song expressing his dispassion regarding media, critics, and wrongful charges. I never heard him “blast” those involved in harming him. It takes an extra measure of wisdom and strength to accomplish effectively that soft answer; and, he did. I respect him so greatly for that.

I love you more.
When others said to Michael, “I love you.”, -- Michael would often respond “I love you more.” Now I can hear Michael say to the Lord, “I love you Lord.” In response, I can hear the Lord say, “Michael, I love you more. Come home with me for an eternity.” And, he did.

I am thankful to God in Jesus Name that:

God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be nor more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
Revelation 21:4

But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for He shall receive me. Psalm 49:15

In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. John 14:2,3

Our very deepest sympathies given to the Children, Family, and Loved Ones in their loss.

Well, I can't imagine that MJ didn't recieve Christ if he asked for the Holy Spirit since there is only one way to get the Holy Spirit and that is to accept Christ as your Savior. I don't believe there are "exact words" to receiving Christ but instead an exact heart/desire to receive Christ that knocks one to his knees in repentence for ever living without him. God looks in on the heart and He is not like man. He give grace to the humble. If MJ was nothing else with all his wealth and fame, he was humble and while works without faith are dead, he took care of children all over the world and gave so very unselfishly. I don't believe God wouldn't have opened his heart before his death. Jesus is faithful, more faithful then man can imagine or ever hope to be.

What saddens me is that he was hooked up with Deepak Chopra and all those "spiritual" yet ungodly people that sale God for a living, but do not truly worship Him in Spirit and in Truth and certainly give no acknowledgement to the sonship of Jesus (no truth). They lead so many to the pit, but as I said before, the faithfulness of Jesus is unmatched. He doesn't let His sheep stray to far without giving them plenty of time and opportunity to heed the return call of their shepard. I am more concerned for those so called "spiritual teachers" still living and selling God without Christ then for the spirit of MJ.

i am a fan of michael jackson.i literally grew up hearing his music.and i will admit that every time ihear the song heal the world and we are the world composed by mj,i was always in the berge of tears.those song goes deep in my heart the same way christian songs do.we can't deny that.my point is,mj is an artist, like a painter or a sculpture, who make masterpieces coming from their heart,so did michael composes songs that was from his heart.i believed you can not fake what's on your heart.
when the news that he had passed away,i can not belive it.i keep asking why now.he havent redeemed himself from all the people who said bad things abt him coz i belive he was innocent of all the things being accused of him.i watched all his interviews and listen to all his songs,i saw all the pictures of his children, how can this very soft-spoken,doting-father,earth-friendly person be so bad ?he was not perfect, but no one of us human is.
at first,i was in denial that he is already dead,i don't want him to die yet.but at the back of my mind,i trying to convinced myself that every thing has a purpose.NOW, after reading this article, i found my answer.meeting with the Crouches was not an accident, praying for the Holy Spirit was not unfruitful.and i believe that everything happens in His time.
i know now that mj will be in peace with the Lord.

Before people judge, they should do their reasearch! On many occasions, MJ thanked God for his talent, his success. During his World Music Awards 2006 acceptance speech, he said God answered his prayers helping him create his songs for his first or second album. For the Ebony interview, MJ said his inspirations for his music come from the Heavens above. For the Oprah tv interview of 1993, MJ quoted a passage from the Bible that was the basis of his love for children.

----Matthew 18:2 - 3 And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Michael cited this verse and told Oprah on national tv that he wanted to be like Jesus. I can go on and on and on and on..........
Sometimes, I often wonder if people truly listen to the words Michael has spoken. Or, do we only pay attention to the wild stories found in gossip mags all over the country?

One little prayer will not turn you into a lover/follower of Christ. It is the way you live your life, the condition of your spiritual heart, how you treat others and many more that determines whether you truly live for Christ or not!

Yes, I admit MJ has done many questionable things throughout his life! Haven't we all! We have ALL sinned and fallen short of the glory of God! All of Us!

If a murderer, a rapist, a theif, an adulterer, etc.....were to turn their hearts to Jesus and work towards a new and clean heart. The Lord will accept them at Heaven's gates! Their salvation, our salvation do not depend on anyone's opinions, thoughts, or ideas! It is all up to God!

I believe with all of my heart that MJ was a gift to this world. There is no way a man like him would be so kind/gracious/loving towards others without having a solid belief in God.

I see MJ as an inspiration for all future entertainment stars who love and know the Lord. MJ has shown that you can live out your dreams and still remain humble and thankful to God.

Let's see.....God IS love. Yep, the Bible STILL says that. And LOVE is what "they" will KNOW US BY.....guess "they" won't KNOW US today.....according to a lot of the comments I just read on this page. Come on Christians. WE do the LOVING, GOD does the JUDGING. Get MAD at the devil and have MERCY on the people. NOT the other way around. Remember, Jesus was MOVED with COMPASSION......and He wants US to do the same. (MATT. 9:36-38)

The Lord's Mercy Endurth FOREVER, what does FOREVER mean? AFTER
DEATH as well......Thank God that the Lord sees us through his
eyes and not through the eyes of men. Because only God knows the
beyond, I believe that the Lord spoke to his heart this is why
Michael Jackson was seeking and I believe that he found The Light
of our Savior Jesus Christ. The Lord said of these three the
Greatest of these is LOVE, and Michael Jackson had love in his
heart...You could see it in every good thing he did. And for
those who have no sin cast the first stone.... I pray for the
Jackson family and their hurt and pain.

You know, within the past year I have witnessed and heard statements made by people who say they represent Chrsit which is suppose to be a Christian. I listen to these so-called christian radio talk shows here in the great city of Dallas Texas (yes you need to be called out) and it first started with them downing Obama as president and the many reasons that came along with that while trying to portray John McCain and the RIGHT ONE for the job I guess because he is a republican but he is just as if not more foul that any other republican we have put in office. Obama confesses to believe in Christ, but our so-call good christians did not accept this, now here we are again, speculating on whether Michael Jackson was a Christian or not. Well, you don't know what conversation he had with the Lord before his eyes closed in death and I do pray that he did indeed accept Christ as his savior. I will tell you one thing though, while you talk show host sit and bagger people trying to decide whether they were saved or not, Michael worked and gave back to the world to help those in need... what have you shown or done? Perhaps, look up the word Christian and determine what the true meaning is. Christ did not bagger anyone but he tried with all his heart to get others to accept him and believe in Him, to live for Him and he did it with a heart of love not hate.

You sound like you are full of love.

I was listening to a song called Revelation song, this morning, the day of his funeral. The song is the song they sing in heaven worshiping God day and night! I noticed the song by a different artist, so I played it and it sounded like Michael Jackson singing, like when he was a kid!

I am becoming convinced he was falsely accused and terribly misunderstood, and that this was a sign he is with the Lord ,Glorifying God in heaven.

The "Sinner's Prayer"? So he can't do that by himself, he needs to almight holier than thou church to lead him into that? Bunch of judgmental people who think that's all it takes. It's the heart that God looks at.

Wow, I wonder how many truly born again believers are posting here? Most of the people here seem to believe in universalism or easy believism. Just like the memorial for Michael Jackson today. Most of the people there spoke of "God", but it was their take on who God is. Not the God of the bible, the great I AM. Jesus is the great I AM, which totally refutes the Jehovah of the Jehovah's Witnesses that the Jackson family and the Williams sisters believe in.Jesus spoke and limitless galaxies leapt into being, He is the creator of the universe.

Yes Nick it is the heart that God looks at, and according to scripture it is "desperately wicked". Every person born is born spiritually dead, as dead as a doornail. A person must be spiritually quickened, regenerated, sometime during their life in order to be spiritually born again. If this never takes place than they are seperated from God for eternity. They will be judged at the Great White Throne Judgement, Revelation 20:11-15, before Jesus throws them into the Lake of Fire for eternity. So yeah, the sinner's prayer is kinda important:)

Christians, let this be a lesson to us,that we need to tell sinners that they need to repent and ask forgiveness of Christ.I hope and pray that Michael did come to Christ, how I wish Andre Crouch and his sister had confronted Michael about his spiritual condition.Michael death just breaks my heart, like so many girls of my era,I loved him.We never know if we are talking to someone for the last time. How I hope that Michael is in heaven,he was a very mentally ill and tormented man.I truly believe God would forgive all of Michael's sins(and apparently they were many),if he truly repented of them.Let's hope he did,and pray for his family...

My comment is...... Michael was crucified. But this has nothing to do with us, it is between him and the Lord. Remember it is the goodness of God that leads us to repentance, and if this goodness was displayed through Andrea Crouch etc.., then God may have imparted his repentance to Michael Jackson. He is the author & finisher of our faith- not any person or the media. We cannot even repent if God does not allow us to.
I would also like to say that our God is faithful, and only he knows what was going on in Mj's heart before he died. And from certain reports, he may have known. My heart tells me he is with the Lord. Many have been baptized with water and even go to church and do not know him. Could this be a plan to witness about Jesus on the world stage? We will never know.... I loved him and always will. God bless to him and his loved ones.
This is all a matter of the heart and no-one but God can see that. RIP MJ x

I think we should leave this one to the father's arms. Michael was clearly a child of abuse in some sort of way. I think he desperately wanted to be free from aching so bad. I believe we need to trust that he was ok with the Lord. Sandra and Andrea Crouch did the greatest thing they could have done for him. LOVE HIM!! Showing people the fathers love is much more effective than preaching it to them. Guaranteed when it is done in a manner of love and not judgment something happens in the heart that changes the soul. Leave his fate in Gods hands and don't judge what Sandra and Andrea did. As far as I can see they loved him.....

Bill, Please show me the sinners prayers in the word of GOD!!!. It is not found in that book. All that is said is if you believe and confess with your mouth He is faithful to forgive your sins. It does not say you have to confess to a priest, a pastor, a friend, a coworker,or say certain words to be saved. The sinners prayer is not even salvation. It just says if you confess and believe you will be saved. I get so sick of people who have God figured out in their small box. Come on people lets get real with who God really is and quit trying to put a formula to salvation. No man know the heart of another. Only God does.

Only God knows weather Micheal accepted Christ's sacrifice and love. It is my heartfelt prayer that this soul so loved of God and so hurting is now dancing with joy at this very moment and singing his heart out to the Lord. It saddens me to read some of the very hateful comments directed against one who is no less deserving of God's grace and mercy than those spewing the hate. There is none that is righteous -- not one. Our righteousness is Christ alone. And so it would be for Micheal. But surely, if we know Christ, we know that he died an agonizing death for Micheal as much as for any.

Thank you, Lord

I am totally appalled at the accusations made in a previous comment against Michael. I too heard all the negativity that was said about him but you know what, I researched him and I tried to learn about him for myself. Michael jackson seemed to be one of the nicest, purest, gentlest, meekest, humblest and giving persons I know.
In life, we like to rejoice over other people's mistakes but we turn a blind eye to the good they do.
Michael gave unselfishly to the needy, he was very instrumental in getting a liver for a young child,he supported many who needed moral support. He always spoke of love and forgivness, these are fruits of the spirit that we as christians are suppose to imitate.
Our mandate is not to be judgemental or have a holier than thou attitude. We are suppose to pray for each other, we are called to be our brother's keeper. Those of who who are quick to jude Mr. jackson please, only cast stones if you are without sin.ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS IS SIN.Michael, I pray that you are in the loving arms of Jesus. You were a special person whom I would like to have met.

I hope michael was a christian and is with are lord jesus in heaven. And indeed i will meet them all.

What's a "true born again Christian" Watch Paul Washer's shocking message on youtube and get this CD "True And False Conversion" by Ray Comfort.

I am so sick and tired of the politicized form of Christianity in this country! How disappointing that Christianity Today has focused on the judgement-passing job. Why don't you leave the job to God & take the chance to encourage believers to be active witnesses of the love of Christ! And then we also have those so called Christians who are angry at those who hang out with "sinners"! Isn't that what Jesus did on his earthly ministry? I don't get it!! It's such idiocy to think that we can win the hearts of non-believers by sitting at our neatly-excluded suburban church pews! Hello!...get out and make friends with non-church goers. Listen to their stories as much as you want to share your faith stories & the gosple. Reflect Christ both by your life & by how you love them unconditionally. Please stop giving Christians such a bad picture. Sit back at your neatly-separated-suburban-office and see how many people you will win to the Kingdom of God, as a result of this article of yours. Very sad!

The word judges for itself none of will know until those of us who are saved in the names of Jesus get to heaven, beening angry want change the fact wheather or not he is save. Let pray he was save. If he was not it to late now. Pray for those who are not save and always think Christian dont have a voice in the land of the free. WE DO. The Word of God want change because you are not of like faith. GET LEFT OR GET RIGHT.

Hi Kristal, to me you just said the "sinners prayer", believe and confess with your mouth. That's what I meant, not any particular set of words. But I do believe it's what you believe and confess that makes the difference and saves you. That you're a sinner and need a savior. That Jesus Christ is that savior and that He takes away the penalty of your sins and is the only way to heaven, John 14:6. The world believes there are 100 different doors to heaven. Jesus said there was only one door and He is the door. If one believes and confesses this, in so many words, then according to the Word they are saved and will spend eternity with Jesus Christ. God bless you.

As a lifelong MJ fan and a devout Christian, I hope with all my heart that he is now experiencing the promised eternal life for all those who have faith in Christ. I believe that in MJ's final days, he was a seeker, as evidenced by his conversations & prayer time with Andrae Crouch & his sister Sandra. My heart is warmed knowing this and MJ's memorial service lifted up the name of Almighty God countless times. Only God truly knows the whereabouts of MJ's soul and the Lord was absolutely glorified during the funeral! I was in tears so many times during the 2 hours of the service....it was as though God was reassuring me that he was indeed in the Lord's presence. I wouldn't dare to water down the gospel or anything, but in Michael's "childlike" nature, the combination of him being a seeker/praying with the Crouches/interested in the anointing....VERY PROFOUND. Here's the link: http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=102625

I saw the funeral too CJ and I have a completely different take than you did, no offense. Yes, God was mentioned many times, but what God? People worship a 1000 different "Gods" in this fallen world. Was it the "God" of the majority of the Jackson family? A family that follows the Jehovah Witnesses, who deny the deity of Jesus Christ plus many other things that any born again believer would believe? Was it a "God" of the Hollywood elite, who give lip service to their god of wealth and privledge? "God" is mentioned all the time at award shows, unless the person praising 'God" is a regenerated believer that "God" is foreign to me. Jesus Christ is very God, who saves the souls of the lost.I also don't what in the world any "annointing" would have to do with an unsaved person?

I made reference to Almighty God being lifted up many times at MJ's funeral....clearly there was no confusion there. The Almighty is the only TRUE God and the name of Jesus was spoken and sang (thank you Lionel Richie) numerous times. Michael hasn't identified himself as a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses since late in the 80's. If Michael had more interest in a different religion at the time proceeding his death (such as Islam, as has been suggested but not proven), certainly his family planning his funeral would not have approved of the selected gospel songs. Also, the pastor opening and closing the funeral wouldn't have said anything about Michael kneeling before the "King of Kings"!! I believe that God was moving in Michael's heart and drawing him to have the same faith as the Crouches....for such a time as this. God does move in mysterious ways and I believe while Michael's earthly life was fading away, He used Andrae and Sandra Crouch to plant seeds of everlasting life into Michael's spirit. I'll say it again: PROFOUND.

Dear friends,

Lord placed a burden to pray for Michael on several occasions recently (before his death), which I didn’t quite understand why at the time. (I’m an ordinary mother living overseas with little knowledge about pop music. But I try to walk with the Lord day by day.) After hearing the news on his death, I cried out to the Lord and asked him whether Michael is with the Lord now. After very tearful prayer about Michel’ soul, I think Lord revealed the following thoughts very clearly to me. I want to share them with those who ever prayed for Michael’s soul.

I believe with all my heart that MJ is with the Lord now. If you’re in doubt, do some research especially on his interviews with Oprah and Geraldo. He clearly indicated his faith in Christ. Michael may not have been perfect all the time just as you and I have not been. He may have made wrong choices just as you and I have done. But he believed in Jesus. No doubt about it. On many occasions, he often humbly and publicly credited his achievements to God. Not many celebrities do that any more. Some of his music and lyrics, are so beautiful and loving, they must have come from the heavenly realm of creativity. You can not fake that level of deep compassion and genuine love. Jesus was in his heart all the way even “before” he met Crouches.

The horrible slanders(lies) and untruthful gossips he had to go though all his life was Satan’s work who wanted to destroy the pure soul by the most wicked weapon. (Satan wanted to destry Micahel's honor since his heart was not very much on wealth or women. But honor was important to Michael since his heart was pure.) With God’s mercy, the ordeal and pain kept him humble-hearted.

The final encounters with Crouches was an act of merciful God to prepare for his funeral so that his precious soul can not be stolen by the Enemy during the final hours. I also agree with the comment by a gentleman named Steve that “God may have seen apostasy would befall MJ if he continued in this life and allowed him to come home.”

I realized that when God put a burden on my heart for anyone, I have to be obedient right away because there is a reason.
I thank God for His love and mercy and glorify His name forever and ever. May Lord protect and bless MJ’s chidlren!

No matter he is trusting,He is the God of my heart!!

I think that God allowed us to see this and this occurance with the Crouches because people were curious and wanted to know if he got saved. the fact that this story came out is proof that God was definately working in this circumstance. He(GOD) knew he was going to die..so i'd be a fool to believe that God didn't move upon his heart to seek out the Crouches..whether or not he was converted is up to the Lord we will never know what happened between the time he left them and went home. what if he read his bible and asked God to come in his heart..how do we know? Just pray and hope that he did agree with the Crouches..and he was supposedly a muslim way before..if that being the case WHY would he seek out the Crouches afterward..hello As a former muslim..it isn't a real religion, Jesus and the Holy Ghost was still reaching out to me as a 'muslim'..there's only one God..so I don't buy that conversion muslim business either. he was obviously seeking out for God..and Jevohah's witnesses know who Christ is they just got it all mixed up. MJ knew that the Crouches were Christian..So I think God was reaching out to him sorry. I think he could be in Heaven..don't judge people.People were praying for him after he died..we don't know what happened between then and judgement..

I just want to thank the mother above for sharing her story with us. It's so amazing to see and hear how God works in our lives. What a great God we serve! I sincerely pray and hope that MJ is rejoicing with the heavenly hosts and has entered into the eternal bliss found in the arms of Christ. I too felt a heavy burden to pray for MJ, I didn't understand it, but I felt so deeply saddened and I couldn't help put lift up my petitions and requests up to the Lord for the soul of Michael. I pray that God would comfort his family, friends, and others during this time and that it would be a means of sharing the hope, joy, and peace we have in Christ so that others would come to know the Savior we adore and treasure.

I totally believe and thank God that Michael Jackson is in Heaven.

He asked about Jesus, the anointing of the Holy Spirit, prayed for such and di NOT reject......That is it....or should I say
"This is it"

Asking Jesus into your heart, is not in the bible, but accepting Him and not rejecting is....MJ accepted and received...

Praise God

Of course repentance and a turning away from sin comes into it and I truly believe MJ was doing that....GOD looks at the heart, the inner man, the real! person behingd the mask....

I watched another program on Michael last night, and he was asked

Reporter: "How do you write a song?"

Michael " I was just driving down the Boulevard and it came to me - Billie Jean"

Reporter: "Where did it come from?"

Michael: "From above" and he smiled as he pointed up.

That is giving God the glory and speaking of Him and what He does, not taking glory for himself, not competing with anyone else. . . .
Focussing others on where his gift came from.........That is a christian.

Praying for a lot of praise and worship ministries to follow his example.

I guess no one who left negative comments on this site saw God move in a mighty way yesterday? 31 million people heard " Soon and very soon" The very song MJ asked the crouches to sing for him. No one heard "Jesus is Love", by Lionel Richie. And I am so sure that out of the 31 million or more who held hands and prayed after the service AROUND THE WORLD NO ONE HEARD PASTOR SMITH CLOSE PRAYER IN JESUS NAME!!!!!. I guess all of that never happend. at the end of the day no matter what MJ did in his life, weather he accepted Jesus or not. Which my soul says he did. WHO GOT THE GLORY YESTERDAY? WHO HEARD THE MIGHTY NAME OF JESUS YESTERDAY???? 31 million plus. Let that marinate in your minds for a while. Glory to God !!!!

Michael Jackson would have be grateful to you and your twins sister. I wish I have this opportunity, I would use it. How come you led Christ down. He was hungry for God, but alas wrong people came his way, who cannot think of his lost soul. Ask God to forgive you.

We cannot judge Michael, Let God be the judge.

You never know what impact Brother Crouch and his sister left on Michael. Who's to say they didn't plant a seed earlier in his life? They work on about three albums together. I'm hoping it was their light that made him question their faith. I Peter 3:15 says; But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: We as christians should always prepare to share our faith with anyone. It shouldn't matter what their status. I truly believe Michael was seeking after Christ. If the Crouches plant the seed, maybe someone else watered. You will never know. Let's hope that he did and pray for his family. Every soul is valuable to Lord. We as christians are accountable! Let's get on our job. High profile Celebrities are human too!

I forgot to mention i'm a huge Michael Jackson fan. We are ten years apart. I've been watching him and his family for years. I truly thank the Lord for allowing him to entertain us for some many years. He was truly gifted and talent and great human being because he pour out his heart and soul into his profession, family, children and people who are less unfortunate. This man had a heart of compassion for people like Christ. He is like family to me i follow his life very closely. So i know all this nonsense about him is not true. Let's just hope as christians, that he accept the Lord as his savior. God bless his soul.

"Was Michael Jackson a Christian?"

Check this out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wul1SuWxwIg

Here, Geraldo was interviewing MJ in early 2005. Pay particular attention to the clip at the 3:34 point.

WOW.....PTL!!!

Cut and paste above. Read article.

World's Leading Internet Evangelist Claims Michael Jackson is in H______

"World's Leading Internet Evangelist"....according to whom?

It is offensive and inappropriate to judge Michael's heart. Why does the "World's Leading Internet Evangelist" claim that Michael rejected Christ? Nonsense. MJ spoke of his love for God and his faith in Christ. Christianity cannot be reduced to following a certain number of strict do's & don'ts....when Michael said that by reading the Bible and following the teachings of Jesus regarding caring for the underprivileged and children of the world, that sounded like true Christianity to me. Every Christian denomination has differing viewpoints and perspectives. There is only one true God, of course, and His mercy is unfathomable. I can see that God's hand is in all of this post-Michael's death dialog (it's everywhere!) and many people are discovering that as complicated and controversial a person as MJ was, he also maintained a childlike wonder and was drawn to the things of God. If the "World's Leading Internet Evangelist" had done some research about Michael's faith, he would have realized that MJ disassociated himself with the Jehovah's Witnesses in the late 80's. Christians simply hate to STOP PASSING JUDGMENT on others. Michael professed his faith in Christ (on camera....right here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wul1SuWxwIg, so that should be the end of the debate!

How is this any of our business, and how is this anything other than idle, mindless gossip?

THere is nothing more pathos inducing than strangers arguing on the net about region - only thing more inane would strangers arguing on the net if or if not MJ is in Hell... This world is an empty God Dammed wasteland - the fall of man and your nonsensical arguments about MJ just illustrate this... get a life and go help your neighbor or volunteer to help some kids whose parents suck worse than you don't fricken argue about MJ in Hell or heaven can you say L00000sers?

This discussion is completely valid....this is on the Christianity Today blog, after all. The obnoxious, insensitive remarks posted above have no place here. I will pray for Capaneus!

I love the confusion of God's word so many Christians have on the subject of hell and heaven. It's a "read NT only church", but this same church forgets God put the "end at the beginning". I dropped the religion because of it's confusion of God's Word and I'm a Christian now without being a "Christian". Christian isn't getting you to heaven or hell. Again, Bill, it's your heart that God wants. I really doubt God cares if you call yourself a Christian or not, people. The term was used only 3 times in the bible and was used at first as an insult in Acts (little anointed ones). He does care if Michael Jackson, or you, or your friends accept his sacrifice, have faith in Him, and as well commence in doing good works. The one thing we know for sure about Jackson is he committed good works and he had some sort of faith in Jesus/God.

Fact is, Michael Jackson isn't in hell or heaven right now. Neither is your grandma or your dad or whomever since you have to wait for judgment. So quit worrying about where he went or if he joined your religion. Worry about the rest of the people on earth because their life is just as important as Jackson's.

MJ impacted the whole world. I lived in a rural area in Borneo when I was young, and we grew up with Michael Jackson's songs. When I was in secondary school, he came to Malaysia and he was soooo popular then. Ever since he died, I have been looking for some Christian discussion about this, to seek the meaning of all this. I'm glad to find it here.

And why would we neglect the rest of the people on earth just because we discuss about MJ? Everybody's life is important, including MJ's. I've been to MJ's Chinese forums and I see there a lot (and I really mean a lot) of MJ fans and well-wishers wishing him well in heaven, and hoping to see him there again some day. Maybe you're not familiar with Chinese culture, but it's rare for Chinese to say words like 'heaven' and 'God'. And maybe those are little seeds of the gospel scattered all over, and I'm really glad to see that, considering how hostile they usually are against Christianity. And the memorial service serves as a great witness opportunity. Praise the Lord!

So, How can one pray for the annointing of the Holy Spirit without repenting first??? I hope that he did receive Christ, however we all have to realize that we are 'lost' before we can be 'found'/saved. How could 2 born again christians stand before a superstar who is asking for an annointing from the holy spirit, without any knowledge of knowing jesus as his savior, just simply agree to pray with him without first asking him to received Christ? Its appalling....

MJ has said multiple times that he believes in God and Jesus and never converted to Islam. He was raised JW but excommunicated over the Thriller video. If you read his book, Dancing the Dream, he discusses his faith in God and Jesus.

You can see him admit it here. I think it's about a minute and a half into the video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wul1SuWxwIg

[I saw the following interesting item on the web. Jeannette]

MICHAEL THE NARC-ANGEL

Millions of little members of the worldwide F.F.A. (Future Followers of the Antichrist) have finally learned how to find a certain part of their lower anatomy and quickly touch it while dancing - thanks to Michael Jackson, the highest paid Lower Anatomy Toucher of all time! Special thanks also go to the Jesus-bashing, Hell-bound Hollywood moguls who were just as quick to see higher profits in lower anatomies! [Just saw this opinion on the web. Other grabby items on MSN, Google, etc. include "Separation of Raunch and State," "David Letterman's Hate, Etc.," "Tribulation Index becomes Rapture Index," and "Bible Verses Obama Avoids." - something for everyone!]

First let me say I love Andrae Crouch. Jesus is the Answer is the first contemporary Christian song I heard as a young teenager and a new Christian. Soon and very Soon is a wonderful song of anticipation for all who long to see Christ. My question is the 20 plus thousand people in the Staple Center and the 31 plus million people around the world who watched. Do they know the King of that song is the King of Kings or do they think it a fitting tribute to the King of Pop? I hope it is not the latter.

I feel as though this has simply become a theological argument about salvation which I would like to clear up.

"There is no one righteous, not even one" - Romans 3:10

"For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God"
- Romans 3:23

"This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins" - Matthew 26:28

"But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all" - Isaiah 53:5-6

"For it is by grace you have been saved through faith and this is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not by works so that no one can boast." - Ephesians 2:8-9

"For the wages of sin is death but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." - Romans 6:23

"That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are jusitifed, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved." - Romans 10:9-10

"If you confess your sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and purify us of all unrighteousness." - 1 John 1:9

There are an inexhaustible number of verses that can be used to understand that salvation comes through Christ and Him alone. When man fell in the Garden of Eden we were all seperated from God. God is a Holy God and nothing unholy can be associated with him. That sin as well as our own sins have caused us to be seperated from God and that only way that we can be brought into right standing with God is through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the rugged cross where He bore our sins and had the wrath of God laid upon. No amount of good works, helping people, doing good things, can enable you to enter into the Kingdom of God. Nothing. As Romans stated above there is none who are righteous and all have us have fallen short of his glory and because God is a loving and just God he offered up himself so that we might be able to have an eternal relationship with him.

I think you people have to get back to the bible, go read it than u can judge someone by their fruits. Everyone is always quick to say "dont judge so you're not judge" if people would stop takng that out of its context than they would know that we are to judge, but do it in a righteous matter. In JOHN 7:24 is says, Do not judge according to apprearence, but JUDGE with righteous judgement. But i thought we couldnt judge!!??? It clearly tells us here that we are to with righteous judgement. Do you not know that we are to judge the angels in that day, than why not the things pretaining to this world....GO READ THE BIBLE, START WITH THE GOSPEL OF JOHN

I must say that I personally believe Michael J. Jackson will live in the lap of our Lord when the judgement comes. The God that I know and love is always on time, always. It is telling that Michael was ministered to weeks before his death and prayed for the holy spirit. If Andrae did his job, he must have shared with Michael that one has to have a profound belief in God and Christ before you could have the Holy Spirit take over anything in your life. I believe if Michael prayed for this he believed in this. Only our Lord knows his heart, and remember he knows our. When Michael died I asked God to bleed the blood of Christ on his soul and to envelop him in his bosom. I have to have faith that Michael still believed in Christ. Ironic how God took him shortly after that prayer. Michael was like a child, children are curious. I believe God directed Michael's curiousity back toward him and Christ and provided him with the answers to his questions. I believe Michael was being prepared to die and gained his eternal life by the skin of his teeth.

All praise be to good for with him all things are possible.

I love YOU Michael not what they made you
May God bless us all

All praise be to GOD

I have no certain knowledge one way or the other that Michael Jackson was a Christian. What I can say is that he was obviously blessed by God with incredible talent. What is also true is that it points out the need for us to be in prayer for those we contact daily, famous or not, that they would know the Lord who saved us, and that His Spirit would guide us with the right Scriptures, right word choice, and right attitude to lead them to the foot of the Cross. We don't know for certain about MJ, and we won't until we are on the other side. But has his death given us an opportunity to share Jesus with someone who desperately needs Him, just by the fact that this God-gifted singer has left this life brings our own mortality into focus. Trying to say he was or wasn't a believer on our part relying on the media is closing the barn after the horse is gone. We need to focus on those who need Jesus NOW. Remember, while heaven and earth pass away, God's Word abides forever: evangelism is one of the few great things that will be superflous in heaven.

Hi, nice post. I have been pondering this topic,so thanks for writing. I will probably be coming back to your site. Keep up great writing

Mel, get real! Anyone can talk about God and not accept Him.Satan also can quote scripture and verse but he is far from Christian. Michael belonged to a cult unfortunately. Yes, that is what the JW group is! I do not believe either that MJ ever abused any of those children. He was caught up in a "PeterPan Syndrome" where he just never grew up. His case is a very sad one. Initially influenced downhill by his abusive father.Michael was known world wide and had ample opportunity to influence so many people, young and old towards Yeshua, but he did not. He had much pain in his life too. We cannot pray for the dead, but he did have a mother, father and borthers adn sisters who are still alive and need Yeshua HaMaschiach just as much! Where is Michael now? We will find out soon enough. The rapture is just around the bend!!

Dear friends,

Another amazing spiritual story on Michael reported in the media:

A well-known pastor at International Church outside Chicago, “baffled worshippers when, at the end of this past Sundays Fathers Day service, he looked into the television camera and stated, I announce to the king of pop, today, my (Heavenly) Father is greater than all that was done to you and all that you’ve done and is greater than the hole in your heart and He will fill it to overflowing.”
"Only a few days later would the world learn how prophetic, and stunning, his statement was when reports surfaced that the king of pop was dead."

I firmly believe that God was using Pastor Dickow as a prophetic vessel to send His message of love and encouragement to Michael because God knew time was near for Michael to come home.

Please check out the following Youtube site. Those who were praying for Michael’s soul will be comforted and encouraged. For me personally, this news was yet another confirmation from the Lord. Praise the Lord!

If Michael was inquiring about the annointing of the Holy Spirit, then one would assume he had already accepted Christ into his heart.

God burdened me to intercede intensely during the trial in 2005 and said that Michael would be declared innocent. Recently I watched any interview I could find on the web with him and based on everything I have watched and heard, I’m absolutely sure he knew Jesus in a personal way and that he trusted God as the one who was bigger than anything or anyone.I felt he lived as most Christians do not, humbly, with respect in speech and actions, putting others first even stating he was trying to imitate Jesus in any way he can, especially being like children. He gave secretly to the poor and orphans and lived not for himself but always felt the pain of others, this is true intercession.I believe he knew the father and Jesus intimately and he stated one time that no matter what hatred or abuse came against him, he would not stop loving. This is true Christianity and only something God can do in a person. There are times people will still be broken or addicted and fail but I believe these are issues we must leave in God's hands. Like Joseph and David and many other biblical charachters, he knew failure, addiction and the pain of wrong accusations and did not retaliate. We do not know what he endured in his body and his mind from life but I am convinced that Jesus has welcomed him with the message' Well done good and faithful servant’ despite all that his life had thrown at him, but what will Jesus say to us about our treatment of Michael and our calling to ‘reconcile this world to God’

For the record, Michael was a very spiritual, kind and gentle man. He was very connected to God. He always acknowledged God and Jesus Christ as the source of his life, gift and talents. So this alone according to the Word makes Michael saved and born again. Romans 10:13,"For everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord [invoking Him as Lord] will be saved." Yes, He had spiritual struggles and battles just like the rest of us. Although, he wasn't perfect, that didn't make him any less saved than you or I. Jesus died on the cross for Michael's sins, too. I know that God received him and he is at peace.

The death of Michael is a testimony to God's favor on his life and Michael's willingness to be used by God. He may not have come to us in the traditional Christian manner or in the way that we thought he should to prove his faith, but he definitely glorified God in his life, his music, in his humanitarian efforts and how he loved and cared for his children, his family, friends and his fans.

Michael was God's anointed servant. He was a modern day Psalmist like King David. He was called and chosen by God to minister to the masses. But for the sake of the call upon his life and like Christ, he was persecuted without cause, too.

Believe me, Michael will be vindicated and those who didn't receive him, defamed his character and challenged his integrity, will have to give an account before God. It is my prayer that vindication for Michael will come quickly. For vindication for Michael means vindication for the Body of Christ. I pray that judgment will come swiftly upon those who sinned against Michael. And may God continue to have mercy upon those of us who still have the opportunity to get our lives in order and work out our salvation with fear and trembling.

Michael's death devastated my life and sometimes the grief is unbearable. Why? Because I got to see Michael through the eyes of God. God begin to show me how Michael's ups and downs mirrored that of my own and that of the life of Jesus Christ. In these revelations, God also drew me closer to Him. Is this not what God wants? For us to draw nigh to Him and He will draw nigh to us. Michael's death has put such an urgency in my heart to walk out the calling and purpose on my life. If I can do even a twinkling of what Michael accomplished, I would be forever humbled and grateful to God.

"He that has an ear let him hear what the Spirit says to the church"

he was not a pervert molester nor was he a muslim he would not convert that is why he left bahrain and the king sued him. quit hating rip michael

you don't go to hell for dancing elvis danced

THE MAN DID GOOD, BUT HE WAS NOT WITHOUT SIN. I ENJOYED SOME OF HIS MUSIC AND FOR THE GOOD HE DID I WAS ALWAYS INSPIRED .ONLY GOD THE FATHER KNOWS BEGINNING TO END....WE ARE SO LIMITED IN OUR HUMAN MINDS. MY PRAYER GOES OUT TO HIS FAMILY. HE WAS LOVED NOT ONLY BY THE WORLD BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY BY JESUS CHRIST WHO IS GOD. IT WOULD BE COOL TO SEE HIM IN HEAVEN WHEN I GET THERE.

MY BIBLE READING THIS MORNING WAS FROM THE BOOK OF ROMANS 12:9-21 LOVE MUST BE SINCERE.HATE WHAT IS EVIL CLING TO WHAT IS GOOD.BE DEVOTED TO ONE ANOTHER IN BROTHERLY LOVE.HONOR ONE ANOTHER ABOVE YOUR SELVES.NEVER BE LACKING IN ZEAL,BUT KEEP YOUR SPIRITUAL FERVOR,SERVING THE LORD.BE JOYFUL IN HOPE,PATIENT IN AFFLICTION ,FAITHFUL IN PRAYER.SHARE WITH GOD'S PEOPLE WHO ARE IN NEED.PRACTICE HOSPITALITY.BLESS THOSE WHO PERSECUTE YOU: BLESS AND DO NOT CURSE .REJOICE WITH THOSE WHO REJOICE AND MOURN WITH THOSE WHO MOURN.LIVE IN HARMONY WITH ONE ANOTHER.DO NOT BE PROUD,BUT BE WILLING TO ASSOCIATE WITH PEOPLE OF LOW POSITION, DO NOT BE CONCEITED. DO NOT REPAY EVIL FOR EVIL,BE CAREFUL TO DO WHAT IS RIGHT. IF IT IS POSSIBLE AS FAR AS IT DEPENDS ON YOU ,LIVE AT PEACE WITH EVERYONE.DO NOT TAKE REVENGE , LEAVE ROOM FOR GOD'S WRATH, FOR IT IS WRITTEN: " IT IS MINE TO AVENGE, AND I WILL REPAY" SAYS THE LORD.ON THE CONTRARY: " IF YOUR ENEMY IS HUNGRY,FEED HIM AND IF HE IS THIRSTY ,GIVE HIM SOMETHING TO DRINK . IN DOING THIS , YOU WILL HEAP BURNING COALS ON HIS HEAD." DO NOT OVER BE OVER COME BY EVIL, BUT OVER COME EVIL WITH GOOD.ROMANS 12:9-21

I cannot believe your immaturity. Moving to the middle east doesn't make you a muslim. My father lived in Saudi Arabia for 10 years and he is a born again Christian. Being accused of something doesn't make you guilty of it. I can accuse you of raping my younger sister. That doesn't mean you did it. GOSH! It's rumours andn tabloid that killed Princess Di. Rumours and tabloids made Michael addicted to drugs to get away from stress. That ultimately killed him. Keep your mouth shut if you can't say anything rational.

Thank you, thank you so much for all the lovely comments above! You make me proud of being a Christian! I hate judgmental people because I am often judged for my little difference... It's really great to see most people here who are so loving and kind.

I have been reading about MJ and looking at some of his videos, and I discover that he's always talking about God. Like in his book, 'Moonwalk', he said his top priority is God, and he kept saying that his talents come from God. Also when he was accepting awards, he thanked God first. I feel really humbled because I'm not sure if I can give credit to God or even acknowledge God in public for fear of ridicule. I will have to learn from him.

By the way, did anybody notice that Tom Sneddon (prosecutor for both MJ's trials)'s wife, Pamela Sneddon, is a writer for Christian Parenting Today? I was shocked when I found out a few days ago. This may sound bad, but I hope Tom Sneddon is not a Christian. It was horrible what he did to MJ, setting up false witnesses and all that, for fame and money. Or maybe I should hope that he repents and come out with the truth (not that people don't know, with all the questionable characters and conducts of those accusers). But it seems that many people are still lapping up whatever the media feeds them.

I have one thing to say: SEE YOU IN HEAVEN MICHAEL JACKSON!!!!!!!!!!!XOXOXOXOXO!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE GREAT PEACE IN MY HEART IS JESUS TELLING ME YOU ARE WITH HIM!!!!!!!!!!!

val you are cannnot be christian we do not spew hatred ,j was innocent and is in heaven lots of performers dance that way get over it you don't go to hell for dancing and also christians recognize jesus not just god but mike knew that sleep with the angels sweet prince no one can hurt you now.

Satan lost this battle hands-down. Michael was seeking God for a purpose...to make his songs more spiritual....wow, he would have won so many for people for Jesus....Satan thought he won by taking Michael's life but look at how many people all over the world watched the 2 hour memorial, which was very spiritual and moving, giving God all the Glory for who Michael Jackson was and who he will remain in our hearts. I believe wholeheartedly that Michael in the last 2 or 3 years of his life was doing alot of soulsearching and accepted Jesus as his Savior. I am so thankfully that God made salvation simple enough for a child or else I would not be a Christian today. We are all sinners and fall short of His glory. However, Christians are just sinners who are forgiven through the blood that Jesus shed on the cross for our salvation, sicknesses and diseases. Once we ask for forgiveness God remembers the sins no more. He puts them as far as the east is from the west in the sea of forgetfullness. Praise God!!! I know that God loves everyone ....even the most vile in this world and that His heart aches for them just as much as He does for those who are good to others....But oh how Heaven rejoices when even one (good or bad) accepts Jesus as their Savior. I beleive that Michael is apart of the cloud of witnesses in Heaven now that rejoices in song for those who gives their life to God. The heavenly choir just got even better than before. God is so Good!!!

Heavenly Father, please hug Michael for me!!!! Love, Beth

Your post blessed my heart, it honestly did
I believe the same as you, Michael had often mentioned jesus in his interviews and his song "will you be there?" was co written by Andre crouch for the movie Free willy. the last words are "I'll never let you part, for you are always in my heart"
he may have slid but don't we all fall short of the glory of god?
nothing about Michael accepting the lord will ever be publicized because the world does not want to see that side of Mj, they want to see the lies that say he had an Illegitimate son, that he molested children and collected bones of the elephant man, none of which are true. I wish more people would post like you TOWM you got it, you understood and we are not to judge anyone.

i too pray he is in heaven, warm in the arms of Jesus christ and its comforting to know that while Andre and his sister may not have prayed the "sinners prayer" with him, i believe michael had the lord jesus living in his heart before 2009 anyway
when jesus was on the cross in between two convicted felons, he offered them salvation and the one who accepted was to be in paradise forevermore. Michael's last breath would most likely have been to receive jesus and run into his arms.

his brother marlon was amazing when he spoke of all the works michael did in the name of the lord, he did not say he did them in the name of allah, buddah or Ganeesh, he said in the name of the lord.

amen elizabeth polly, amen indeed, satan lost the battle alright
michael was searching and he prayed and worshipped at the right time because shortly after he did die, this warms my heart to know that he is with jesus who i believe never fully left Michael's heart

how could he leave his heart? when michael even said he would never let him part?

to all the judgmental christians out there who say he is going to hell
you will look forward to the judgement of christ upon you for your thoughts and criticisms toward MJ

I hope Michael jackson is in heaven with the king of kings.......he sinned like all of us but as far as i have researched about him i have known that he did not abuse any child infact he loved and adored them ,gave lots of money for the disadvantaged and sick children and was a soulful singer and an awesome dancer who was often misunderstood and judged by the world he led a very disturbed and troubled life and was deeply hurt by the all the accussations and rumuours.......he often talked about folowing JESUS in his interviews and he did infact try to heal the world ...yes he waS lost and was always sseking for the truth and i HOPE he is resting peacefully in the arms of Christ Jesus right now.......

I believe Michael Jackson is in Heaven. Not only did he talk about his faith with Geraldo Rivera in 2005 and on Oprah back in the 90's but he walked the walk. He gave to the poor, he turned the other cheek when others tried to destroy him. He was very humble and caring. NOONE is 100% pure in all of their actions. Let us all remember this! I think the tabloids have also gotten a hold of the Christian community, and we have forgotten all the times Michael gave Glory to God.

As a priest, musical fanatic, and follower of Christ I can only pray that Michael's soul has been received by the Lord Jesus Christ. I had broke down into tears and prayer when news of Michael's sudden death had approached. When I had prayed I sensed the Holy spirit's kind message bestowed upon me. Out of my 24 years of service, I am pretty sure I know what kind of message it was. It was a message that assured me....I believe Michael is indeed in heaven, and I can not believe anything else until I reach the heavenly gates myself.

As a student of Music, I myself have always been captivated by Michael's angelic vocals, sweeping dance moves, and graceful songwriting. Studying him as a man, as a humanitarian, as a father...a man of such humility and love....I can not picture him in the ghastly pit of eternal suffering.

I pray for his children, family, and friends who have been affected by his passing. I also pray for his fans who seemed to have taken it hard. Our God is a God of mercy, love, care, and fairness and we must remember he sent all of us here on a mission. He sent Michael here to Entertain, bring Joy, and show his kind heart to our people.

May he rest in eternal paradise,
Father Alexander Maxxitone

Mine Soul is thanking you for beautiful comments about MJ.
It really shows how truthful, lovely Cristians you are.
Thank you. And MJ thank you.

Were any of MJ songs christian

i think it's highly possible that he may have become a christian prior to his death...only he and God know that... he may have repented when he got home or in private. i dont know and a lot of us dont know enough about jehovah's witnesses to label them as unbelievers. i mean, they do believe in jesus, they just dont celebrate birthdays and they believed he died in a different way (not on a cross), but still as a sacrifice. all that matters in the end is if God welcomes us into heaven rather than saying "depart i know u not". denomination is irrelevent in heaven. lets not condemn him and try and make our own judegements...when its the right time, we may see him later right?

I beleive Michael was a christian and now the King of Pop is jamming with the King of Rock & The KING OF KINGS!!

There is absolutely NO doubt that Michael is in a better place now, free from the judgements, persecution and condemnation that he had to endure whilst here on earth. Thank God that he is finally at peace where nobody is able to hurt him any more. For all of those who question whether he was a Christian. Simply look at all that he did in his life for the sick, the needy, the lonely, the unloved. Search out all the beautiful words he spoke about God and about prayer. Don't rely on the media - do your own research. When you have done this, you will find that this man walked the path of Jesus through and through, and what his life tells us is that we, as human beings, have learnt absolutely nothing since Jesus walked the earth, for there are still so many who hate the goodness that Michael brought to us so much that they would do anything, anything, to destroy it. Well, he is with the Father who sent him now, and at peace, so the haters didn't succeed. God sent Michael here for a reason. There are those who listened, heard and understood what he was saying, using it as an inspiration for their own lives, and there are those whose sole aim in life is to denegrate, judge and condemn. I know that Michael is with God now - somewhere those who persecuted him in this life will never be.

that was nicely put thank you dee

A Finish friend of mine told me Andrae Crouch, the gospel leader during the memorial and long time friend of Michael Jackson, was in Norway last week for a performance. He told a reporter Michael asked him to visit him a few weeks before he died. He went and Michael asked Andrae to pray together. He said he wanted the holy spirit to touch and guide him during his tour in London and that he wanted to make his music more spiritual. They sat together and sang and prayed in the name of Jesus. It's in a Norwegian newspaper, though I cannot translate it, my friend translated it for me.

I don't believe MJ was Muslim. That was a rumor that started because he moved to Bahrain. Also, Michael's lawyer said Michael did not convert to Islam. Jermaine also said this on Larry King Live.
Also, in every single album by Michael, he says, " I thank The Creator, God...", and also talks about how he does not write his songs. He says they come from above and that he is an instrument to God to make people happy.
In every single interview, Michael talks about his love of God and how he follows the teachings of Jesus, which is what inspired him to help sick and underpriveleged children and become child-like.
He did quit his religion because they would often view his actions and music wrongly, but kept his beliefs in God and always mentions it in interviews before and after quitting his religion.
Yes, he did sin like every single person, but he gave all of his money from tours and concerts to charity, totaling over $300 million and he also paid for the treatment for many children and helped them find transplants.
Also, even in death he will donate to charity. In his will, 20% goes to charity and even some of his personal items are being auctioned for charity.

I thank God for this man and all of the kindness and generosity he brought to the world. I truly believe he is with our Lord. :)

Thank you keira for the post!! I don't usually believe everything I read, but the post sounds pretty credible to me. If this Jess comes out in person with the news of his conversion, she'll certainly be seen as another attention grabber in the whole mess. And I love what she said about "God's love for us is one on One".

I'm from a moderate Muslim country, so I'm somewhat familiar with Islam. I know a lot of Muslim friends want to believe MJ's a Muslim, but I really don't think so. For one, his funeral is Christian. If he really converted, I think Jermaine Jackson would have fought to have a Muslim funeral. And Muslims are buried asap after they died. Also, if he really is Muslim, you'll see Paris Jackson with a headscarf right now, because it is compulsory for Muslims to indoctrinate their children in Islam. In my country, it's illegal for a spouse or children of a Muslim to NOT be a Muslim.

If you want further proof, this link here will show you:
http://www.wikiislam.com/wiki/Michael_Jackson

But I really don't think it's necessary.

Can a Christianity Today site administrator (or whoever oversees the postings on this blog) explain please why the post by Jess was removed? It was very relevant and respectful. Other readers will not know what this discussion is about subsequent to that post.

I would really like to see the Posting by Jess as well. Can anyone shed some light on what it said?

Alright, CT. What happened to the post that everyone is asking about? How Christian is it to pull something and not offer any kind of explanation for it?

Hi again! I just want to say that some people in Chinese MJ forums are asking if they can meet Michael again in heaven if they became Christian. I am really really glad. I posted the Four Spiritual Laws for them. Although I don't know how much of the gospel can be spread through the Internet, it's evident that seeds are sown. I really thank God for this, and for the life of Michael Jackson.

This link was posted here before but I am going to post it now again. This can't be a coincidence, a pastor directing himself to and praying for Michael just 4 days prior to his death.

I think we should learn how to see the Holy Spirit works.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7EoRMe1cTY&feature=related

That would have to be some big coincidence. Jackson asking for "It Won't Be Long" and "Soon and Very Soon" are also coincidences. The Holy Spirit was working on Jackson the whole time. Someone who knew of Jackson's last time with the Crouches must have spoken to the family; otherwise, "Soon and Very Soon" would not have been the opening song for the service. God, You are so awesome. I wish I loved the lost the way You do.

The Church needs to repent of lovelessness and our lukewarm mindset toward evangelism. Too many Christians are giddy about sinners going to hell because they have no real revelation of why Jesus's death on the Cross was necessary for them in the first place. Grace is good as long as it is lavished on people I love. But the moment God pours it freely upon people I don't like, that's when we have a problem.

Until the Church understands what salvation is, the world won't either.

I can only pray that Michael Jackson is in Heaven right now. I am not God and didn't know Michael's his heart, but I pray that he accepted Jesus before he died. Before reading the article by Jess above, I was convinced Michael was suffering in Hell, but now I have new hope that he's up with the Lord. She says she experienced Michael's salvation, and I believe her. I just pray that Michael now is happy and home. I grieve with all on earth, especially his children and family. This must be a time of great pain for them all. I pray that God has Michael up with Him in Heaven right now, and I can't wait to meet him when I too die, and go to Heaven.

I've enjoyed reading this blog but I am growing frustrated with Christianity Today. Is the site hearing from the Holy Spirit about removing this? Do you question the authenticity of the post so for the sake of biblical truth, remove it? If so, then you need to shut the entire thread down.

Leave it to a Christian magazine to get all dramatical about this issue. I have friends of Jackson who are devastated and want to know about how God is working in and through all of what's happened since he passed away. I can't send them here, however, because of some cowardly actions on the part of your company.

This is CT's site and they can do what they wish. But at least show people some respect by explaining yourselves. Why just one particular post? Do you have a problem with the Sisters of Faith website?

Explain yourselves, please. I will never purchase another CT anything again until you do. Peace.

Jesus Christ loves MJ too, and I am sure that MJ is with the Lord because he believed in Jesus Christ and he wanted to know more of the Lord, God is love and mercy, MJ acted more as christian than many people, he helped the poor and sick, MJ said once I will never stop helping and loving people as Jesus said we should.

I don't care what people say.
I believe that Michael Jackson was a Christian.
In fact, he was like an angel of God.
Have you not heard his songs? He incorporated God into his music so much!
For those of you who have not listened to "Will You Be There", I strongly suggest you check it out and read the lyrics carefully.
He is so evidently speaking about his love for God.

I just can't imagine how someone with such a beautiful heart like Michael could not have had Christ in his heart. It was through Christ that he managed to use his God given talents to influence the world in such a positive way. It was through Christ that he helped HEAL THE WORLD. It was through Christ that he managed to keep the faith and continue to move on with life after the false accusations.

He also mentioned in an interview that he wanted to be Christ-like. And he was.

It just hurts to hear fellow Christians accuse him and say that he wasn't, because we can only wish to achieve 1/10000th of what he has done for this world.

Michael Jackson was a generous, caring, compassionate, talented and beautiful man. His love for God shone through him and he is finally at peace, away from the hatred in this cruel world.

I also just wanted to say, that whenever I watch videos of him on YouTube, giving to charity and saving lives, I think to myself, "Gosh, I want to be like him." Michael followed the examples of Christ. He actually made me become a better Christian.

To everyone out there: Feel free to contact me and talk to me more about this.

God bless.

I totally agree with you Monique. There are alot of us that feel the same way as you.

God talks to me everyday about things in my life. When I asked him about Michael, He said that Michael Jackson was with Him in heaven.`God's Word says:"By their fruits you shall know them". Men do not gather grapes from thorns. Jesus is the one who saves us through faith in Him, and our good works demonstrate our faith. God loved Michael and I'm so glad he's with Him. God blessed us with Michael; but let him go to his reward early. Jesus is coming back soon!!! Let's love one another and be ready to tell others the gospel, so they will be with Jesus too!!

I guess it's not really up to us to say. I mean we can speculate all we want. The same way there is evidence that he might have coverted to Christianity, there is evidence that he was still a JW. I love him to death and I want to believe, and I do believe, that he is in heaven but not necessarily from things I read and hear. I just have a peace about him. I just always feel like even though MJ is dead he's okay and fine and always will be. I'm a christian and I just want to end up with God no matter what. I don't want to give a name to what MJ's religion was I just pray that he accepted Christ and knew that he was the savior and the only way to Heaven is through him. I do think it says something though about the fact that he was asking about the annointing of the Holy Spirit simply because that's not really a JW thing. I also think it's crazy how that pastor dedicated the end of his CHRISTIAN, not JW, sermon to MJ.

So yes I think he's in Heaven. Yes I pray that his family will accept Christ and see him again with Jesus. I also know that we have to be ready as Christians because the time is drawing nearer for the return of Christ to rapture his church. I want to be raptured and I want all of you to be too. I also think God focuses less on the name of the relgion and more on what you believe in your heart. We will all be suprised about the people who go missing after God raptures his church and I'm sure many will be shocked at those left behind. The bibles says that millions around the world will go missing. Funny that millions around the world go by different religious names right? Our faith and love and devotion for God and his son Jesus Christ are what's important. Not what we name our religion. I pray that MJ is in Heaven and I pray that I make it there too as well as many others.

Thanks everyone for sharing. It's a blessing to read all your comments.

By the way, has anyone seen this?

http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/story?id=127648&page=1

"On Sunday, accompanied by his attorney, Tom Mesereau Jr., his brother Randy and comedian Steve Harvey, Jackson paid a surprise visit to the church and was welcomed by an adoring congregation. Jackson could not comment on the case because of a gag order but he gave ABC News exclusive access to his visit with one of the nation's pre-eminent black congregations.

ABC News' Jessica Yellin was with Jackson and asked him what brought him to the First AME Church.

"To worship and see the children," he said.

"Did you enjoy the service?" Yellin asked.

"I loved it," Jackson said. "

I have a website that will go live shortly that you all may be interested in. It will show the truth about who Michael was, his character, the truth about the allegations and the trial (I have interviewed Attorney Tom Mesereau who represented Michael in the 2005 trial) as well as authors Aphrodite Jones, Geraldine Hughes and filmmaker Larry Nimmer. The website will give a much clearer picture into who Michael the human being was beyond the tabloid rumors and beyond the celebrity.

The Islam conversion story is false and I have confirmed that with a very good friend of Michael's and also have found additional research to confirm that this was false. It was a tabloid rumor.

If you want to know the truth about Michael, please register at the following website to be alerted when the website launches http://mjsite.homestead.com

God Bless.

I just saw a 1991 video where Andrae Crouch talked about a musical session where he made altar call for salvation and Michael Jackson stepped forward with his hands raised. He said that at the end of it Jackson met him and told him it was phenomenal and even videotaped it. The youtube video of this interview with Andrae Crouch is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Sz9w8pUrpM

Michael Jackson gave between $300-$500 million of his personal money to the poor, excluding the money he raised. He also had a hunger for spiritual things and I believe he found Jesus because there’s no way God who constantly searches the human heart would overlook his hungry heart and let him depart without someone giving him the answers he so desperately sought.

The rumor about him converting to Islam is false. His brother Marlon denied it saying he was a christian till the time of his death. There’s an article out there on the internet that says a large cross was sitting on his bedroom wall where he died. I pray the millions around the world that he touched would realize he became a Christian before he died.

Rodney Jerkins said in this video that he, his dad and Chris Tucker met Michael Jackson and presented Christ to Him. I believe he may have received Christ into his heart that's why when the crouches approached him he was asking for prayer for the anointing of the Holy Spirit. The youtube video of Jerkins' interview about Jackson is:http://darkchild.com/dctv/video/my-thoughts-loss-mj

Thank you Chi for that video, I've never heard that Crouch interview before. .It seems all of his life Michael was searching for something bigger than himself. I am greatful God surronded him, throughout his life, with Christain friends. I am confiden he accepted Christ from this and from other things people close to him have said. I just pray that the church will look past his celebrity and remember he was a man, and that they won't find it impossible that he could have been a Christain.

Gabrielle I understand the interview took place in Norway in 1991, and that’s probably why the video isn’t popular here in US. I’m guessing it’s a Norwegian that posted the video on youtube as you can see the written translation is Norwegian.

The Bible says that by confession of mouth and faith, belief that Christ is our Savior who died for all mankind, we are saved. It doesn't say it has to be said in front of anyone.

Debbie Kunesh has put a lot of research into this project, and I think many will be happy in what you find.

During my prayer times I close my eyes, focus on Jesus and ask Him to speak to me. I then journal (write down) anything that comes to my heart and mind. This is what I received in a recent prayer time:

Heavens gates have opened wide and Michael Jackson stepped inside
No softer spoken a man will be, he had the world and gave it all to Me.
He stepped outside the devil's snare by repeating in heart the sinners prayer.
He never said the words aloud for he was standing in a crowd.
but know for sure that you will see the man you knew stands next to Me.
and the allegations left behind, will never any evidence find.
For he was true and pure in heart, from the very beginning, right from the start.

I have never believed all the media hype regarding Michael and have always looked at the allegations against him as being false and a money grab. The fact that his accusers have since said they lied and that the court case acquitted him is proof they were just scandalous lies. I am blessed to receive this word from the Lord and look forward to meeting Michael in Heaven some day!

MJ was definatly and inspiration to us all. Check out the website link I posted. Michael had love and FAITH in in Jesus like you wouldnt imagine!
This makes me so happy. Michael showed me that no matter what you go through in like, no matter what people lie and accuse you of doing, the TRUTH will always shine in the end as long as you have God by your side :)
People who beleive everything they hear on TV are idnorant in my eyes. TV said MJ was this and that. Ignorant individuals feed of that stuff, and its sad. If you want to find the truth about ANYBODY, then you have to have that desire and love for the truth and truth only! Michael had a faith beyond beleif. Its a shame some people are still blind to the fact of that.
