Suzanne Hinn Files for Divorce

(Updated) Three years after divorce, televangelist Benny Hinn remarries—his ex-wife.

Update (April 2013): The Orlando Sentinel reports that televangelist Benny Hinn and his ex-wife Suzanne Hinn have re-married.
-----

On February 1st Suzanne Hinn, wife of famous televangelist Benny Hinn, filed divorce papers in a southern California court. The documents cite irreconcilable differences as grounds for the legal action. News of the divorce has rocked Hinn`s worldwide following and has already been used as fodder for critics of the controversial healer`s ministry.

Don Price, senior advisor to Mr. Hinn, stated in a Press release that ``Pastor Benny Hinn and his immediate family were shocked and saddened to learn of this news. The couple has been married for more than 30 years, and although Pastor Hinn has faithfully endeavored to bring healing to their relationship, those efforts failed and were met with the petition for divorce that was filed without notice."

Confidential sources have informed Christianity Today that the Hinn marriage has been in trouble for a long time and that the divorce proceedings were no shock to Benny Hinn. CT tried unsuccessfully to reach Benny Hinn and Mr. Price for comment.

Suzanne Hinn is being represented by Sorrell Trope, a legendary figure in divorce litigation. His previous clients include Cary Grant, Rod Steiger, Nicole Kidman and Elin Nordegren, wife of Tiger Woods. Mrs. Hinn was unavailable for comment. The couple was married in 1979 and have four children.

Lee Grady, contributing editor of Charisma magazine, told CT that the impact of divorce on Benny Hinn’s ministry will depend on the nature of their marriage problems. Grady also said that the charismatic world ``has been shaken to its core in recent years by a number of high-profile leaders who haved divorced or had moral failures. Many charismatics I know are troubled by this, and they feel it is time for deep introspection, repentance and a rejection of the shallow, celebrity Christianity that has typified much of our movement."

Jesus said:

"Anyone who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits
adultery and the man who marries a woman divorced from her husband commits adultery."

Paul said:

"For example, by law a married woman is bound to her husband as long as he is alive, but if her husband dies, she is released from the law of marriage. So then, if she marries another man while her husband is still alive, she is called an adulteress. But if her husband dies, she is released from that law and is not an adulteress, even though she marries another man."

Step 1: Divorce Your Spouse
Step 2: Remarry Another Person
Step 3: Commit Adultery

Notice AFTER the wedding they are committing adultery with each other. Notice AFTER the wedding the adultery STARTS.

Are they husband and wife?

Answer: God did not join them at the altar if they are committing adultery that night AFTER they had their wedding ceremony.

Remember--it is impossible for a husband and his wife to commit adultery--WITH EACH OTHER.

If they were really joined as a husband and wife at their remarriage--Jesus would never have called their sexual relationship AFTER this wedding--adultery.

People go to the courthouse to get divorce papers to get them out of their marriage but the papers obviously don’t work because they are still committing adultery AFTER they've done that. Divorce does not make them single if the charge of adultery is still on them AFTER a divorce.

"Look at the legalized adultery we call divorce. Men marry one wife after another and are still admitted into good society; and women do likewise. There are thousands of supposedly respectable men in American living with other men's wives, and thousands of supposedly respectable women living with other women's husbands." -- R. A. Torrey

Divorce + Remarriage = Adultery (Not a legal marriage in the sight of God)

This is the first generation that believes God accepts remarriage, if your spouse has not died.

"A wife is married to her husband as long as he lives."

I've heard guys say, "they didn't see it coming" before. There in lies the problem.

Well people are people and they have problems too the same as everyone else. These problems can be something they can no longer manage hence the divorce, however the question would be If they took all measures to prevent the divorce.

I never heard much about Benny Hinn's wife. My assumption is that she did not take a side to side role in his ministry Like Gloria Copeland or Tammy Bakker did with their husbands. I realize that this is not always the calling of a Pastor's wife. Despite Benny's aberrant theology this is rather sad. The question now is how it will effect his ministry?

BINNY HINNS WIFE FILES FOR A DIVORCE.

GOOD. Let him lose millions of dollars. He's a wolf in sheepskin clothing.

Benny Hinn IS NOT a wolf in sheeps clothing. He was my pastor for years and was a good and honest man. Marriages are hard enough to keep together in the best of circumstances. The Hinn's had so much time apart and so much interference with people against them plus four children to raise and the weight of the world on their shoulders, trying to minister and win the lost, it's no wonder they couldn't make it. Marriage is hard enough in the best of circumstances

ok, Benny Hinn is not a wolf in sheep' clothing, he is a wolf in wolf's clothing, at least to anyone who doesn't have scales on their eyes. He lives in at least 3 California multi-million dollar homes, has his own airplane, and bilks his millions from people who are barely scraping by month to month.

He has been asked to provide 3 verifiable cases of healing and has been unable to do this. His "ministry" is under investigation by Congress as well as other watch groups. How many millions does he really need, and where are the healings? He of course, turns down people like Joni Eareckson Tada, who are in wheel chairs with severed spines, and not "plants" that Hinn and his fellow thieves fool the multitudes with. He is exactly the type of person Jesus warned repeatedly about in the last days. But the blind refuse to see the truth.

Check out http://www.deceptioninthechurch.com and learn the truth. When he and his wife were in an airplane accident, he checked into a hospital just like other injured people. Christians don't have lower rates of cancer, heart attacks, or anything else, and also have the same life span as non-Christians. I get sick of the lies from these people, and I feel badly for the people who are given false hope or are made to doubt their faith because of their lies.

Whose fault is it that they are separated from each other so much? You use it as an excuse for the divorce. God ok's divorce only for adultary. Benny Hinn can't heal himself or apparently his own marriage. It was his wife who spoke about the "Holy Ghost enema" and you defend him? Surely, she learned that from him also.

Remember that Paul asked 3 times for his thorn to be removed, and God said that His grace was sufficient. Timothy wasn't made to doubt his faith because of his stomach, Paul told him to take some wine for his stomach. Luke was a physician. We are given salvation from Jesus' atonement on the cross. We are not promised healing until we receive our new, glorified bodies.

To barbara:
----------
If you have ever suffered physical pain in your body and left alone to tackle your emotional pain as well (the vicious cycle)AND no one to HELP you... Then some one (whatever name they might have) through the power of God heals you then you will appreciate the healing ministries. To me Christianity without healing power is Bible without the gospels. HE HEALED THEM ALL... (Mark) AND PHARISEES JUST HATED THAT. THEN THEY CRUCIFIED HIM. To me PHARISEES DEPRIVED THE HURTING PEOPLE in 2 ways

1)THEY FOOLED THE PEOPLE NOT TO BELIEVE THE HEALING AS IT WAS NOT FROM GOD
2)THEY BLOCKED THE WAY TO HEALING BY QUOTING SCIRPTURES TO UNASSUMING INNOCENT PEOPLE

" We are not promised healing until we receive our new, glorified bodies."

Could you please show me where is this in the Holy Bible.(unadulterated version ofcourse..)

No one is perfect But I am no evaluator of other people...

those of you who are criticizing benny hinn it is because you are frustrated in your home. i do not care if he lives in a mansion or have a private jet. read the bible God bless greatly abraham, joseph, salomon, isaac and so one. the kingdom of God does not lack anything ome and read the book of revelation and see how God kindom is build then you will shup up and see. for you it is normal for pagant to live in those kind of house and see the man of God in the street.i pray God to give benny hinn 3 more planes and bless him more. stop being ignorant and realise that money and Gold of the earth belongs to God .may God bless his servant more and more and give them the power to preach the gospel in the most amzing way. those of you who are jealous die in your jealousy

Benny Hinn is nothing but a greedy fraud. I know of his ministry first hand and all he cares about is MONEY. He pays his staff very little and then makes them tithe on that little. He lives like a king while people around him struggle for survival. He has tried to make his wife look like she is crazy..... His closet looks like a Nordstrom Store and he emerges on stage to the tune of How Great Thou Art...give me a break..... he thinks HE IS GOD. and if you don't agree with him he says you will be punished by God.... who the heck does this man think he is...... I know him first hand and know what he is really like and believe me he will burn in hell.

I have nothing to say about Benny's divorce, good or bad. But I will say that as long as there are those that praise the man and his theology then there will those who will gladly give of their income so that he becomes rich. The money that he has does not drop down from the sky it comes from the wallets of his devotees. More could be said but that great theologian PT Barnum said it best "There's a sucker born every minute"

Patriach-by saying "Could you please show me where is this in the Holy Bible.(unadulterated version ofcourse..)" do you mean the 1611 King James Version which originally included the apocrypha? The version that says turtles were sacrificed in Lev 12:8? It should have been translated as turtledoves, a warm-blooded animal that was acceptable by God.Cold blooded animals were not.

Did you mean the version that says "Easter" in Acts 12:4 (KJV 1611)instead of Passover? Acts 12:4 SHOULD say "After arresting him, he put him in prison, handing him over to be guarded by four squads of four soldiers each. Herod intended to bring him out for public trial after the Passover." Because, you may not know this, but they did not celebrate Easter, it's an obvious error. The word Easter comes from the fertility goddess Ishtar, and is OBVIOUSLY not an inspired word from God.

As for healing ALL the people??? Healing illnesses was a small part of Jesus' ministry. He did not come to heal illnesses, He came to save souls. He came to save us from dying in our sins. In John 5, at the pool of Bethesda, there were 5 covered collonnades, which were FULL of disabled people, the blind, the lame, etc. The Bible records Jesus as healing one person there. Period. The man who was healed did not express any faith in the ability of Jesus to be able to do it. Jesus chose him as one of the crowd of people there, and knew he had been wanting to be healed for a long time. Jesus did not wave His arms and heal all who were there, that was not the purpose of His ministry.

You did not respond to why Paul's thorn was not removed when he asked God 3 times to remove it, and God said no, my grace is sufficient for you. Or why was Timothy told to take wine for his stomach instead of some Benny Hinn gimmick?

Why can't Hinn come up with just 3 verifiable cases of healing? Why does he refuse to heal people with much faith like Joni Tada, who has a severed spine?

Why do Christians have the same rate of cancer, heart disease and everything else as non-Christians? Why do Christians not have a longer life span than non-Christians. If you would go to the deception site I posted, you can read all about the past "healers" and their wives, who ended up, for the most part, getting standard medical treatment, and then dying when their time came? I don't see any 200 year old people walking around do you?

Jesus healed us of our SINS, and we are given eternal life, the greatest gift of all. I am eternally grateful for the forgiveness of my sins, and the new body I will someday be given when He returns.

It was NOT healing that the pharasees were angry about. The picked up stones to stone Him because they knew He was claiming to be God, and to equate Himself with God, and they did not like the things He was saying. They wanted to keep their over 500 laws and their rule over the people instead of the freedom that came with Christ, to all who believe.

Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

The GIFT that is constantly spoken of ie ETERNAL LIFE. NOT a *healthy* life on earth. Hinn and his followers are close to the cult of Christan Science, which is neither Christian, nor science. Kenyon was the one who started to talk about supposed healing that comes with faith in the late 1800's. Funny there is silence on this topic for over 1800 years. All of the old hymns, all of the old sermons, are about the gift of eternal life that beievers are given, not about healing from illness. BTW, to be a true miracle, there must be 100% healing, not just improvements. God is in the miracles when it is HIS WILL. Not on any man's command. Also, when we pray, we should pray as Jesus did in the garden. He prayed not my will, but THY will be done. After all, there is nothing better for us than God's will, right?

I feel sorry for those who are disappointed when illness and death come and take each of us, as time goes on, if they were waiting for some benny hinn kind of healing. They feel let down by God because they were given FALSE HOPE and FALSE TEACHINGS by a FALSE PREACHER.
We are warned over and over again by Jesus about these false preachers.

Sorry, but it would appear that the Hinns have let everything else take priority ahead of their marriage and their relationship with each other. That is SO wrong. If Mr. Hinn's marriage was at all important to him like it should have been, he would have put his ministry on "pause" and put his entire focus and energy into working with his wife to save their marriage. Satan is very clever at distracting Christians with "good" things, so that the actual "best" thing they are to be doing is lost in the shuffle. That's how the phrase "Good is the enemy of Best" can be applied. The only surprise in this whole mess is that the marriage has lasted this long, under these circumstances. It's not too late to turn it around, but it is going to take ALL of Mr. Hinn's energy, and focus, and SINCERITY in order to show his wife that he wants to reconcile and be the husband that GOD WANTS him to be, and SHE the WIfe God wants her to be. I'm not saying he is the only one at fault, but in his position, it would be REALLY easy for him to think more of himself than he ought to. I hope they will both DROP EVERYTHING and get to work on their marriage and relationship. There is SO MUCH at stake.

I am not overly surprised that Suzanne Hinn was unhappy in her marriage. I used to occasionally watch Benny Hinn on TV prior to 2004. I attended a Hinn meeting in 1997.
But had I noticed that Benny's attitude towards his wife - when she appeared with him on his TV show - was rather overbearing, and somewhat inconsiderate of her. This was something that was obvious to me.They were the 'vibes' I picked up. I felt she was very much under his thumb. He was "The Man", and she was his lackey. That was the distinct impression I gained all those years ago. She appeared to be walking on eggshells, and looked uncomfortable, waiting for him to give her the nod of approval to open her mouth. I concluded that he was pretty clueless about how to treat a wife with care and respect.
We know that learning the skills of marriage is best done in childhood by watching and learning from one's parents. I can only assume that He did not have good marriage role models as a child. I believe he was an orphan, so that may explain it.

It also indicates that learning how to "do" marriage is something that is not being adequately taught and modeled by the church. One can consequently have a "successful" christian ministry, yet still be clueless about how to glorify God in their marriage.

I stopped watching Benny Hinn on TV about 6yrs ago. That was when he had former PTL founders Jim and Tammy Bakker as guests. They had divorced and were married again to new spouses, and Hinn had this foursome on his show sitting side by side, grinning like Chesire cats!. I was gobsmacked. How incredibly naive of Benny Hinn! With the christian divorce rate spiraling out of control, here was Benny Hinn modeling divorce and remarriage on his show without batting an eyelid. It was a gross error of judgment on his part, and regardless of how much "faith" he may have been able to muster elsewhere, this was beyond the pail.
Perhaps he was inadvertently sending Suzanne the subliminal message that divorce was O K among Christians? Has it come back to bite him? It was certainly the message he was sending around the world. A message I objected to, hence my refusal to watch his TV show.

Hinn is simply another anti-Christian Pentecostal heretic preaching blasphemy to deceived, unsaved reporbates who have 'accepted' a false gospel.
Pentecostalism is NOT genuine Christianity, and therefore, Pentecostals are not genuine Christians. End of story.

God is good!! God is a healer in the Old AND the new testament!!!

You believe in the bible..you believe in healing.

Taste and see that the Lord is good!!

I've been healed many times...and have prayed for people that has been healed and did not die as the doctors said they would. Proove it...Oh we don't know what happened here...no trace of cancer...Is that proof enough or...?

As for divorce. You can ask forgivness, can't you?
Or do you have to kill your former spouse to be able to remarry?
It is forgivness for murder!
Sometimes people let the letter kill instead of understanding God's love and mercy.
We all mess up from time to time.

Jonie Erics.T. writes a lot of books about experience, but not many about what the word says about healing, I don't know what she has to do with B.Hinns divorce?

If Jesus said to Jairus..who had a dead daughter:Just believe..I guess he'll say that to you when you come with your 'impossibilities' too.
God is mighty,God is good and my family have relied on him for generations. He has healed,he has delievered,he has redeemed.Just receive and thank Him for it.

He loves us all!!!! He doesn't WANT anyone to perish. Everyone that call on His name (Jesus) will be saved!!
Jesus is the way,the truth and the life.

It also says that we are not to judge somebody elses servant. Unless B.Hinn is YOUR servant..Who are you to judge? :-)

This is a most interesting story. These faux faux false prophets have been twisting the Holy Bible (even as they see it) to their liking for years now. Starting with Jim Baker/Jimmy Swaggart/Oral Roberts/Ted Haggard, and now Benny Hinn... it surprises me not! Thank God we have had a reasonable, God-blessed prophet like Billy Graham, whose reputation is impeccable, who preaches faith in God and Jesus Christ for our salvation. Sad that the other above-mentioned lackies didn't see God's beacon shining
through Mr. Graham.
Somehow, I just can't feel sorry for these guys! Their dollar sign has spoken!
Dakotahgeo, M. Div. Pastor/Chaplain

We should never lean to the arm of flesh. Flesh fails miserably when that's all there is. Thanks be to God we have his spirit which guides us into all truth. I would not wish divorce on anyone. It is not an easy thing and biblically there are limited grounds for divorce. If we taught marriage better, divorce would be much less. This is inadvertently about his ministry at least in this thread. If the grounds for this divorce doesn't meet biblical standards, I suggest both of them remain unmarried...... Sad that this is being named in the body of Christ so frequently....

Benny Hinn was married!? Who knew?

Thanks JJ for the excellent feedback.........
All in All - "We should not Judge, lest we be judged"....Bible
Our Abba is a great and Awesome Father - his mercy is endless and his love is so pure - that we will all feel it till eternity! Amen
God works in mysterious ways!
And what is hidden from man is clearly seen by Abba!

Forgiveness is the key to everything!

Barbara, you are 100% spot on ... as are some others commenting. I absolutely agree with everything you said. I always thought that if Mr. Hinn truly possessed the power of healing, he would go to every children's cancer ward in the world. This may be wrong thinking on my part, but I am so weary and leery as well, of the ostentatious lifestyle of many so-called "evangelists".

So many judgements when the facts are not even out yet, and frankly, when it is not the business of most people commenting. No wonder Christianity has a bad name.

I've never even HEART of Benny Hinn! Sounds like I'm better off for it!

Beautiful bank robbers,
They stole from you and me,
Beautiful bank robbers,
With mansions by the sea.

Beautiful bank robber couples,
So fabulously in love,
We admire their plastic features,
And how their doctors dug.

Beautiful bank robbers,
Say, You can be like me,
And have other people admire,
Your mansion by the sea.

Beautiful bank robbers,
Each must have their jet,
They have their lovely ways,
Of getting what they get.

Nothing is too good,
For bank robbers by the sea,
Better than good is perfect,
To sell greed so lustily.

Beautiful bank robbers,
How they will rot in hell,
For being so beautiful,
And lying perfect well.

RE: Ministers of Bling. Generally, they are not educated in Western Enlightenment. Western Enlightenment, from Greek-Jewish-Gothic Christianity, has a tragic view of reality wherein human nature has self-interest problems that need constant self-checking and self-limiting mechanisms; which if followed enable openness to higher ground. That is Western Enlightenment's reality. And it is a reality that is curious. It inquires. It asks the prophet, what do you have? What is God's Higher Ground? Opposed to that, sad to say, is Pentecost Christianity as practiced by bling preachers: It is a therapeutic reality very close to progressive so-called reality. Which is to say, no reality at all. It is a utopian dream/scheme of some sort. Their doctrine stinketh. And the rule of thumb with all utopias, is that there are no utopias possible. They are just a scheme for leader proponents to gain some advantage, since they have not the faith to do it the Western Enlightened way, God's reality. (For a utopian scheme to work, human nature must change. They'd have to be god to do that! Short of that, they have to do extreme reality distortion!) So bling preachers (and progressive liberals) are incurious. They don't inquire. They pay prophets to say they are great. They will never ask a true prophet, what do you say? Because they are scared of the answer. Bling preachers (and progressive liberals) have to exert a tremendous reality distortion field to build up their utopia dream/schemes. They need apologists. They need lotsa media. They need to copy each other's same message! They exalt a bread crumb and enshrine a piffle! Nonsense! And the amazing thing, they get lots and lots of apologists, folk who are primitive, under-educated, easily-herded, gullible, taught to never question, touch-not-shenanigan-wolves, and perfectly ready for the next dictator to abscond with what the bling-leaders have not already taken. Anti-American! Bling leaders talk forever of revival. It won't happen under their watch. Ever.

I think the success of Benny Hinn's ministry will be determined in part by how the Church responds during this crucial time. Our first reaction should be compassion. Anything less is not of God.

Lol Sue....

Benny Hinn doesn't have healing powers. But Jesus does, and even HE doesn't run around healing everyone in cancer wards for the sake of passing a test. How foolish to think that should be the way it is, when healing is a very serious and personal event.

I know I have been healed during a BH service. Because I know God is behind the ministry, I know He stands behind Hinn (regardless of his shortcomings) and therefore so will I.

God bless.

God is still God! We need to stop judging and leave judgement to God. Healing is of God. God will choose how to heal who to heal at any giving time. I pray that as many christian that are helping satan to pull down christianity will have revealation of God and know that is all about his love for mankind. He gave us Jesus for absolutely one purpose salvation. In salvation comes with other benfits Mat 6:33. I pray that holy Spirit will help both Benny and susane to see the mind of God concerning their situation. Please Pastor Benny i think your first ministry from God is your family just trust God go back to your wife to hear from her. It is important to listen to her. You may have overlooked her views for so long but you can make amend please. Christ is wahing the church with the word and water as the head of the church so does He want you to do same to your wife. We get comfort in God's arm always and He continually tells us how much He loves us and also show it. Check it out with how christ relate to His bride.May God Almighty restore your home. Amen

Not too good news, however Suzzanne never seemed a happy wife, and seemed to have been under tremendous pressure and control, not allowed to be expressive of who she really was. She seemed trapped and had no person or voice. I honour the fact that she has had to live under such conditions for such a long time, and she deserves to be free. Jesus paid for her freedom... it was for freedom that Christ set us free no longer to be yoked under the bondage of slavery (Galatians 5:1). However, the last page of the story has not been written yet. My prayer is that they come back togeter under new and healthy conditions, where she is respected and honoured and loved as a pesron Created in God's image, and has her dignity, worth, voice and choice restored. This is the right of every human person, only the devil would try to take this away from one. Bless you Suzzane. I beleive you will come out shining like the treasure God created you to be. Praying for you and your family.

Since this is a story of a christian marriage failing, I will confine my comments to that arena.
When, in the N T, Paul spells out the qualifications for public christian service, he subjugates gift and calling to character and conduct. It is not enough to simply have a desire to serve God, important as that may be.Having a family that is a testimony to the faith, and being married to one spouse, are requirements for the christian minister's CV.

It is pertinent that the long line of high profile ministries that have crashed, have almost all been built by, and centered in, an individual. That individualism permits the development of an ivory tower isolation, where they have no one that they are accountable to. So when these high rolling ministers get divorced there is no one with the requisite authority to hold them accountable. After all, they built the ministry, and everyone employed in it is there at the behest of the leader, and he/she has all the power.

The Paula/Randy White divorce debacle is one such example. It was a ministry with 18,000+ supporters, but with no outside accountability. So Paula White just carried on without missing a beat, then teamed up with pastor Rick Hawkins, who had himself just divorced his wife.
I believe that such people should resign from their public ministry. Even non-christian Tiger Woods has quit golf to spend time rebuilding his marriage, how much more should those who are God's spokespersons?
These people - including Benny Hinn - need to quit their ministries and not resume them unless or until their marriage is restored.
What is the point, asks the NT, of having faith to move mountains, but to fail at loving? - " if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing." (1Cor 13:2 NIV). Let him learn to love Suzanne as God commands (Col 3:19) - if she will let him, after years of being put down - and then he can get back into ministry.
The same applies to all other divorced pastors.

The Grapes of Immaturity
By Robert Winkler Burke
Of inthatdayteachings.com

Latin saying from the novel Lonesome Dove:
“Uva uvam vivendo varia fit”

A grape turns color and matures,
Upon seeing statured others,
So also proud broadcast preachers,
After meeting humble betters.

Until that day of humility,
Comes indwelt of God,
The proud, false shepherds,
Think brokenness odd.

And will avoid most personal tribulation,
By personal wealth guarantees,
Extracted by pandering their own fear,
Emotion, excitement or greed.

With emotion it’s prophetic or,
Intellectual jabberwocky,
With greed prosperity, with fear,
Rapture-dispensation malarkey.

The grapes of immaturity,
Broadcasting fear, emotion or greed,
Think manifesting Christ,
The very last thing on earth we need.

The grapes of immaturity,
Won’t honor their betters,
Their trollop doxies make them,
Hellfire selfish go getters.

The grapes of immaturity,
Do not fear God’s wrath,
Ignoring every grow chance,
Before they are smashed.

Thus the grapes of immaturity,
Have not grown for thirty years,
Ignoring all people their betters,
To tickle their own deaf ears.

The grapes of immaturity,
Broadcasting self best,
Woe is us, woe is them,
For spoiling God’s nest.

God’s nest of inhabitation,
Is ourselves to indwell,
Proud broadcasting preachers,
Can’t do this for God well.

The grapes of immaturity,
Believe their perfection a bastion,
When will they see betters,
And repent of smug inaction?

LAUREN ~ frankly I'm not laughing with you on this one. And I already know Jesus didn't heal everyone physically and only He has the power to do so. I was speaking in exaggerated terms. But enough about Mr. Hinn and his ilk.

I am happy for you that you were healed.

Remember Charles Stanleys wife divorced him. Evidentally they are not Christian women who believe in the words of God. I thank both of these men for standing up for the Lord and his word. I pray these women will come to realize that they are in the eyes of the enemy and not the eyes of God, i pray conviction will lay upon their hearts and know they are in wrong doing and forgive them for they do not know what they fo. Note: may be they are envious of them spending a lot of time with the maker and doing his works. I know I do and I am married and I am what my husband ask for!
Some lady Saved, Sanctified, Seperated, and have the Holy Ghost and speaking in tongues! I love being the Lord, I know these men love his presence also. I pray God will heal them and they keep up his good works through them.

It is truth that a great many high profile ministries have been built around the flesh pleasing principle of "the star personality". In the Epistles, Paul taught Timothy and Titus to return to the maturing city churches and appoint a group of elders there to "shepherd the church. (as Peter put it in I Peter 5) These men were to be chosen on the basis of maturity, faithfulness, and proven character, along with fearless effectiveness in the Gospel. They were to be well known locally; proven as lovers of the Lord and their family rather than of money.

Then, the walk through the years in ministry was to be marked by mutual submission and accountability among them. Jesus Christ alone is the "arche poimen". We are all under-shepherds, if we are qualified and called as such.

All of the bitter back and forth wrangling about healing and other doctrinal matters in these emails has been a sad side track. The core issue which is poorly done in much, perhaps most of the Church world, including para-church ministries, is proven character (including proven humility) based servant-leadership.

I am praying that all this bad publicity coming from all this does not turn people away from God, but make those who are playing games with God "GET REAL WITH GOD"! I feel that the high profile ministers will check themselves to see if they are right with God. I believe one of the comments above with my whole heart, Jesus is the healer, not man. As for me, I will not judge anyone because I sin too, not every day but we all sin. God does forgive and if He or she is wrong and they repent, I should forgive too. But we don't know the facts and why should we need to know anyway, I am not going to answer for their sins, just mine. The word does warn of these kinds of people but we are suppose to be able to know the difference and discern what is real anyway. But I will say this much, if they are wrong, the Word of God said that the skirts would be lifted to reveal those who are playing games with God and using him for self gain. No one will get away with using God if this is the case.

I also agree with the fact that we are not promised to be healed on the earth. I believe healing is more in the heart and turning your life over to God in the case God's will is different than what we expect. I know that Jesus did not take the stripes on His back for no reason, and I know of people who are healed. The woman who touched the hem of His garment, she did all she could to get better and even spent everything she had to get better. She did all she could and she stood that she was going to get better. She was determind to get healed and she sought help and when nothing else worked then Jesus came on the scene. He expects us to fix what we messed up if at all possible and then He will take care of it if we can't. It may be here or it may be in heaven. It is up to God, His will, not ours, either way, His will, will be done no matter what we want. God knows best.

I pray that Benny Hinn and his wife did not do anything that would make the ministry look even more worse than it already does in peoples eyes. I just feel that all those years in the ministry away from home took it's toll on their marriage. I know that God would not put 2 people together for the ministry to tear it apart. We have to take time for our families as well as for the ministry. I feel that Benny Hinn should have given as much at home as he did on the road. God is the one who designed the marriage, why would He put us in the area to tear it up being on the road all the time. He wouldn't, that is "the works" of the flesh thinking that we don't do enough for God and we work and work till we tear up and break up everything around us. We are meant to work in faith, in unity with our marriages, families, and the ministry. Giving time to each to keep what God ordained and put together.

I believe in the same Jesus that healed them all in many places and sought out others to heal seperately. I have also experienced this healing Jesus. Paul said," I have fully preached the Gospel, with mighty signs and wonders by the power of the Holy Spirit." Benny never claims to heal anyone. As Jesus is the same, yesterday, today, and forever, He also works with those who proclaim His full gospel, "The Lord working with them". I can't understand how some in His church don't want anything to do with the power of the Gospel. Is our faith built on life experience or on the Word of God? We make the Word of no effect because of our tradition. This is a sad thing to happen to anyone. I pray for the healing of this marriage. I know Benny isn't perfect, and I don't agree with everything that happens in his ministry, but if the Lord is working with him, confirming the Word, who am I to speak against him. There are very remarkable miracles that happen in these meetings. I believe they are of God. He proclaims Jesus as Lord and I see the Gospel Alive Today. Where salvation is preached, people get saved. Where healing is preached, people get healed. God hates divorce, the hurt it causes. Let us join together to pray for the Hinns, according to Gods'will.

This is only the continued beginning for the fallout that is coming in the Body of Christ. God is tired of the "Lip Service"., the abuse of wealth, the indifference and the wrong motivations.

Its not just Benny Hinn, he is merely a symbol of that which is coming down the pike. Judgement begins and "will continue" in the House of The Lord until it is cleaned out.

His ways are Higher then our ways!!!!! He is Holy and looks for the Church without Spot Or Wrinkle.

THE WORD IS TRUE AND THE church has watered it down to meet their own specifications.....God help us all for the wrath that is coming...

It was not Benny Hinn who filed for divorce; it was his wife!
Why then are people railing at Benny Hinn? However much godly a man might be, his wife can desire to leave him. God, the ideal "husband" was ditched by His "wife" Israel. The church often becomes adulterous. Does that say anything bad about God or about Jesus, the ideal "Bridegroom?"

Second, Benny Hinn is not an American by origin. His culture and values differ from those of his wife's. The "irreconciliable differences" may be cultural in origin. Even though we live in a cultural melting pot, I feel that it is better to marry someone from one's own cultural background.

Finally, critics of Benny Hinn are letting themselves down by gloating over this unfortunate incident. What would Jesus do at this time? Regardless of his doctrinal positions or extravagant lifestyle, we ought to be sad. The people out there - non-Christians - see it is OUR failure - not as Benny's or Suzanne's failure. WE have failed. "And they'll know we are Christians by our love" - not by the purity of our doctrines.

This can't make Benny Hinn's "ministry" worse than it already is.

I feel that the wrath of God is coming and it will also come on those standing in judgment of those that come against our brothers and sisters in Christ who thinks they never do any wrong. Anybody that speaks to tear down another person, no matter what, God will hold you accountable for your actions as well as The Benny Hinn ministry. I pray everyday to be just like Jesus and that is to love unconditionally. We all do wrong in the site of God, so why are people so quick to jump on the gossip news line and lay blame. Let's just love these people as we want them to love us. Love will change a multitude of sins, even Benny Hinn and his wife's. If God can forgive us for all we have done, God will forgive Benny Hinn and his wife for theirs if there is any wrong doing. At least I can say this much, even if Benny Hinn did take people for millions, and he will answer for it, did not do what he should have in his marriage, Benny Hinn preached the gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ when those who say they live right won't even speak Jesus name in public for fear of imprisonment or they are ashamed of Jesus. Benny Hinn was not afraid to talk about Jesus and that did win a lot of people over to Christ. I pray that all those that found God through his ministry will not allow it to make them back away from God but to draw closer to God. I wish more people was not ashamed of speaking about Jesus. If we stop looking to others and following man, we would not have to worry about if others fail God. We should be looking at if we fail God. On Judgment day, I will only answer for me. No matter how many ministers fail or who they are, I will stand strong for Jesus Christ because I know the "REAL JESUS" in my heart. I don't need a man or a woman to help me stand strong for my Savior.

I also agree with the statement, God is tired of all the "LIP SERVICE". It is high time we start getting the love of Jesus Christ in our hearts and stop using Him for our selfish wants. Lip service will not get us into heaven. You have to be totally sold out to get into heaven. We all fail, but that is why God said to ask for forgiveness. Everybody always talking but not walking it. Time we start running for the service of or Lord and stop talking about it. Running for our Lord doesn't mean, run over or trample people because they mess up and sin, it means to get busy teaching these people how to really live and forgive like Jesus Christ.

Ah yes...another "Christian" leader upholding the "sanctity" of 1 man + 1 woman marriage.

Friendly Reminder Please do not post your comments in all CAPS; it is the same as yelling.

ONLY A WOMAN WHO LIVES WITH A MAN KNOWS WHAT HE IS REALLY LIKE AT HOME. I KNOW FROM EXPERIENCE. IKNOW WHAT IT IS TO BE MARRIED TO A MAN THAT EVERYONE THINKS IS PERFECT. I KNOW WHAT IT IS TO BE MARRIED TO A MAN WHO OUTWARDLY PROFESSES CHRIST BUT IS A TERROR AT HOME. A MAN WHO IS CHARMING TO EVERYONE OUTSIDE EXCEPT TO HIS OWN FAMILY. I DO NOT KNOW THE HINN'S AND I PRAY THAT THAT WAS NOT THE CASE. BUT I CAN TELL YOU ONE THING- EVERYTIME I SAW SUZANNE HINN- SHE LOOKED LIKE A WOMAN WHO WAS SCARED OF HER HUSBAND AND SHE LOOKED LIKE A VERY UNHAPPY WOMAN. MAYBE MY PERCEPTION IS WRONG AND IF SO, MAY GOD FORGIVE ME. BUT I SAW A WOMAN WHO WAS TRYING SO HARD TO BE NOTICED BY HER HUSBAND- SHE CHANGED HER HAIR- STARTED MAKING-UP MORE THAN USUAL. EVERYTIME I SAW HER ON TV AND THE WAY THEY INTER-ACTED WITH ONE ANOTHER, IT SEEMED AS IF THEY WERE TRYING TO KEEP UP APPEARANCES AND IT SEEMED LIKE HE PREFERRED LESS OF HER PARTICIPATION. I LOVE THE HINN'S BUT THIS IS NOT GOOD NEWS AT ALL. IT WORRIES ME, COS WHERE IS THE HOPE FOR THOSE OF US CHRISTIANS WITH TROUBLED HOMES ? I THINK HER FILING FOR DIVORCE IS NO SURPRISE AND THAT SHE HAS BEEN TRYING TO GET HIS ATTENTION- HE HAS A FULL CALENDER BOOKED YEARS AHEAD. WHERE IS THE TIME HE HAS FOR HIS WIFE? I WD NOT BE SURPRISED IF ONE OF THE REASONS IS NEGLECT.AGAIN,I MAY BE SO WRONG, IF SO , I AM SO SORRY.

I know first hand that Benny Hinn is not a fake. He is however a man. He doesn't do the healing, the Holy Spirit does, and if God is looking for a perfect human to do those healings through, He'd never find one. Jesus is the only perfect one. God did use Benny Hinn's t.v. show to heal me. As I was watching, Benny hinn said, there is a woman watching right now with pain in her right hip. Well I had such pain I would have to pick up my leg with my hands just to get into the car, so I said, he's talking about me, and i started praising God and thanking Him for healing me, and I have never had a problem since. that was about 3 yrs. ago. I am healed. God uses him, you just have to believe.

No one should call the man of God a wolf in sheeps skin, he is a pastor and doing the work of God but it doresnt mean that he stops being human. marrital problems can occur to anyone like they have always done and i dont think there is any reason why his should be blown out of proportion, simply because God uses him to bring healing to his people (that one doesnt make him God he stays human like any of us) All this family needs right now is prayers and not judgements.

Every day you open the papers, you read about another impending divorce. Every time you put your ear to the ground, you pick up signals of another minister’s marriage in distress.

There is need to Pray specifically for pastors’ marriages, as the devil is launching a big attack in that area, to disorganize the faith of believers. I have a feeling we are not hearing the last of these unfortunate events yet, but we can stop them – even reverse them – if we pray diligently.

Basil’ Post--- “Why can't Hinn come up with just 3 verifiable cases of healing? Why does he refuse to heal people with much faith like Joni Tada, who has a severed spine?” It’s important for you to note that we are healed by God's Grace,

John 15:16 states, “ Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.” --------This verse tells us that it is God who chooses us for his blessings , not the other way around. Seriously you cannot ask such narrow minded questions like why Benny Hinn failed to heal people with so much faith. God says it himself that he chooses whom to bless.

Basil’ Post--It’s not written anywhere that believers or ministers do not die. “Don’t see any 200 year old people walking around do you?” why are you so narrow minded??????? This statement is rather bizarre/foolish otherwise all Jesus’s disciples, and Jesus himself would be alive.

You are actually acting like the devil himself when he tried to tempt Jesus in the dessert and no different from the non believes who questioned Jesus on the cross as to why he could not save himself.

Do not act to be so wiser than God or like you know his plans more than He the Creator does

I'm really sad with the news, but I still believe in miracles. there is time to save their marriage, and besides that Pastor Benny Hinn was a kind ( and still is) a watweshed event in my life.
God bless us!!

To Kallol: You quoted me two times on issues that I never addressed. Please recheck the name of the person that made those statements. PS The posters name is found 'after' the statement that they made not 'before' it.

Benny lied when he said the divorce was a surprise. They have been having problems for years. I wonder if Benny is gay, bi-sexual or messing around? We really don't know. But, believe you me it will come out and come out soon. I always thought the man was strange. Of course, his wife is beyond strange. If I were him, I would say, "Thank God and Greyhound she's gone".

Be careful not to touch God's anointed & do His prophets NO HARM, lest you bring a curse on yourself. Even King David would not bring a railing judgment against King Saul when the King disobeyed God. God said not to judge lest you be judged, v.2 for in the same way you judge, YOU will be judged, v.3 Why do you look at the SPECK in your brothers eye and don't even notice the LOG in your own eye? First remove the LOG from your own eye, and THEN you will SEE CLEARLY to remove the speck from your brothers eye. Etc... (Matthew 7:1-5) the merciful will receive mercy. Man is fallible, but God is infallible. The Word of God tells us that Love covers. I know of NO ONE who is perfect, do you!? How would you like your sins splattered over the whole earth? I don't know how many people realize, that many preachers make the money they make from their tapes (CD) series and teachings and then investments, hello!!!... Are you jealous?? Then get so close to God that you can hear His voice clearly, and maybe He will call you to be a TELEVANGELIST, AND MAKE MONEY FROM YOUR TEACHINGS! But be sure you will only prosper by God's hand!! I believe we are ALL accountable before God even those who are making very mean remarks against this man of God. We will ALL be judged for the GOOD AND BAD things we do and words we speak. Again, be VERY careful not to touch God's anointed. Benny Hinn is a mighty man of God. I have been born again for 22 years and watched his ministry grow (from afar, I don't know him personally but, I do have a very strong discerning of spirits), NOT from deception, but from faithfulness to the call God has on his life. God will do the same for ALL those who are His and seeking His face and NOT HIS HAND. What problem do you have with God's children prospering when God said in 3 John 2, "Beloved I wish above ALL things that you prosper and be in health even AS YOUR SOUL PROSPERS!" Is your soul prospering by reading the word of God EVERYDAY AND SPENDING TIME IN GOD'S PRESENCE, so you know what the will of God is for your life that day and everyday? Anyone, attacking ANY man or (woman) of God in sin or NOT, is attacking God. God also said, that if we see a brother in sin that we are to RESTORE him, NOT destroy him!! Just like Jesus said to James and John when they wanted to call fire down from heaven, ...you do not know what spirit you are of! Luke 9:54-56. You guys, they (being the unsaved) will only know us by the "Love that we have for one another". If you want mercy be merciful, If you want kindness be kind. If you want grace show grace, and remember we are HUMAN and ALL OF US have things in our lives we don't like and are ashamed of. But I thought that's why Jesus came, to REDEEM us FROM THE "CURSE OF THE "LAW"" He who is WITHOUT SIN, CAST THE FIRST STONE!!!!!!! Jesus is our RIGHTEOUSNESS, after we give our hearts to God and repent of our sins, we are instructed to GO AND SIN NO MORE!!! Also, we are commission to GO INTO "ALL THE WORLD" and preach the Gospel!! Are you doing that? God bless you. Oh, by the way. God is Benny Hinn's vindicator! What kind of mercy would YOU want to be shown???

Suzzan, you are special to God and to us. We love you and are praying for you. Suzzan I know that you are hurting now, but the same God who helped you in the past, is the same God who is with you now. Be strong. And don't forget, God will take you through this difficult time. How do I know this? I am praying for you, and women in my country are praying for you as well. We will not leave you alone. Feel us, sense our prayers and know this. Someone is praying for you. You are being carried on the wings of prayers. I love you. God bless you!

To Alicia: I'm sorry to say this but your paragraph reminds me of what most cults believe "Don't question or criticize what we say or believe" I will admit that not all of the criticism against Benny is constructive and well thought out but it is needed. Also please avoid using all CAPS when writing even when done partially. It is often construed as being the equivalent of yelling and is rude and no one will take what you say seriously.

Here are just a few Benny Hinn quotes. The Bereans were commended for comparing what Paul said to what their Scriptures said. The Bible also said that if a prophet makes just one false claim, that he is not a prophet from God, and should be stoned to death. Well, here are some quotes. To know that he is not the real thing, all you need to do is turn off your tv and read the Bible. Thes would be funny, if it were not for the fact that people are misled and are not following the God of the Bible, and they actually believe this wolf. Jesus said the road to heaven is narrow and few find it, but broad is the road that leads to destruction. Here are the Hinn quotes:

God sent Jesus as an example to see if we could retain and maintain the Holy Spirit in human flesh.

God will not move unless I say it. Why? because He has made us coworkers with Him. He set things up that way. (So much for God's omnipotence).

I'm a sample of Jesus. I'm a super being. (Blasphemy)

No, I'm not wealthy. (lying)

Poverty is from the devil and that God wants all Christians prosperous. (Tell this to Christians throughout the world, who have had everything taken from them simply because they are Christians. We're talking about the poor in Thailand, China, Africa, the middle east, Mexico, South America and almost everywhere except in perhaps North America, and that may soon be changed).

What does God the Father look like? Although I've never seen Him, I believe - as with the Holy Spirit - He looks like Jesus looked on earth. What was the appearance of God the Father? Like that of a man... God has the likeness of fingers and hands and a face.
(The Bible says God the Father is Spirit) Hinn sounds a lot like Joseph Smith of Mormonism.

You are a little god on earth running around. (Blasphey, also Mormon doctrine) Also satan's lie to Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eeden.

BENNY HINN SAYS DEAD IN CASKETS WILL BE RAISED TO LIFE AT TV SETS- Charismatic leader Benny Hinn
on Paul & Jan Crouch's TBN said people are going to be raised from the dead watching TBN. He said "People are going to
be canceling funeral services and bringing their dead in their caskets, placing them before a TV set, waiting for God's power
to…touch them." He said they would be raised from the dead by the thousands (I wonder if people really did this lol-I think it would have made the news) (False Prophecy)

"Ladies and gentleman, Jesus is shaking the world! Now something else is happening that is to me awesome! Absolutely awesome! The Lord is physically appearing in the Muslim world. I'm telling you, Paul, I am hearing it now more and more and more. Since we preachers cannot go there, Jesus is - just going there Himself. Since we preachers are not permitted to go in, He is just showing up - Himself. (False Prophecy, lying)

april 2, 2002 "The hour is urgent. Many of you have known me for many years. But I am telling you right now, things I haven't said years 'n years 'n years ago. I believe - here this, hear this! I believe, that Jesus, God's Son, is about to appear physically, in meetings and to believers around the world, to wake us up"

Well, it's 2010 (False Prophecy again)

You could take hundreds or possibly thousands of his quotes like this, and yet those who are blinded follow him. How sad.

Jummy Swaggert is knwon for his lack of modesty and his problems with prostitution. Why are these things important? The Bible tells us that teachers are held to a higher standard and will be judged more harshly. Titus 1:11-12 says that false preachers must be silenced. This definitely applies to Hinn also. The Bible says that fornicators will not enter the kingdom of heaven, so it's kind of funny that you say that someone can't be saved unless they follow Jummy Swaggert. Follow him to hell? That's not for me, sorry. Praise God for the discernment He gives me.

Here are a couple of quotes from this man:

"I'm gonna be blunt and plain, if one ever looks at me like that I'm gonna kill him and tell God he died." His god must not be omniscient and will believe lies from Jimmy. The God of the Bible is omniscient, and won't be fooled by Jimmy, unlike his followers.

"If I do not return to the pulpit this weekend, millions of people will go to hell." What gall to think that people's salvation depends on him and not Jesus! The Holy Spirit changes the heart, not man. We are to plant the seed, but the Holy Spirit does the rest. Not Jimmy!

Then, this suppsoed man of God has been arrested twice for prostitution. Once in 1988, and once in 1991. He only admitted publically in a well-known confession that you can easily find online and listen to. In the second event, you can see how he lied and blasphed God, claiming God told him say a certain thing to cover his sin.

"On October 11, 1991, Swaggart was found, for the second time, in the company of a prostitute, Rosemary Garcia, when he was pulled over by the California Highway Patrol in Indio, California, for driving on the wrong side of the road. According to Garcia, Swaggart stopped to proposition her on the side of the road. When the patrolman asked Garcia why she was with Swaggart, she replied, "He asked me for sex. I mean, that's why he stopped me. That's what I do. I'm a prostitute." Rather than confessing to his congregation, Swaggart told those at Family Worship Center that "The Lord told me it's flat none of your business."

Swaggart's son then announced to the stunned audience that his father would be temporarily stepping down as head of Jimmy Swaggart Ministries for "a time of healing and counseling."

On my 38-year born-again journey, I have partaken of a veritable doctrinal buffet. Raised a Baptist, I enjoyed the "tight" hold of the order of the service in the bulletin each week. No surprises is good for weak and fragile believers. Somehow I got blind-sided by the Full Gospel Businessmen, who never heard of a church bulletin. Sometimes they'd even sing the same song 10 times in a row, "as the Spirit was moving." These men lived to give witness to their faith, and did so with "signs and wonders" following. Never heard that in my Baptist church! Soon I yearned for "more" of their Jesus. Not that mine was not enough, but theirs seemed to fit the testimony of the scriptures more than mine. One night they prayed for me to "filled." God heard their prayer and I was "zapped"! I had to beg the Lord to stop, or I would have imploded from such joy and ecstasy. My next spiritual stop was Kathryn Kuhlman, who had been holding services in my hometown for decades. Needless to say, I was not prepared for an even greater outpouring of His presence. I knew this was what the Bible spoke about when it said, "In the last days, I will pour out My Spirit upon ALL flesh." I sang in her choir and men's chorus for years. I witnessed with my own eyes, both believers AND non-believers healed of many conditions. I had not gone to college and gotten a BS degree in Journalism, without a built-in skepticism. Time and medical documentation given by their own doctors present in the services proved the "miracles'" authenticity. When Miss Kuhlman died, I attended the Assemblies of God. Freedom to worship as the Holy Spirit led was a real blessing to this once "bound" believer. Even Kathryn was not too happy with spontaneous outbursts of joy, and many were removed from her services, bodily! I moved out of state and had always wanted to attend the ministry of D. James Kennedy-a Reformed Presbyterian. Thirteen of the best years of my entire life were spent as a member of his church. The same Holy Spirit was not only in me, and with me, but also came upon us each Sunday! I have run the entire gamut of doctrinal interpretation. What one crowd lacks, another seems to have gotten it right. I even just discovered my Grandmother, who never told us she was adopted, was born Jewish. Now quit fighting all you knuckleheads, go to your rooms and fall on your knees, and get a Word from the Lord! It's almost time to go home and there will be no dissension up there--- only joy unspeakable and full of glory!

For the sake of your own salvation, you should at least CHECK the backgrounds of the people you so idolize. TEST the spiris. Satan is the great deceiver, and many millions of people fall to his deception. Be very careful, because satan himself can perform miracles, so it is incumbent upon you to research the people.

From http://www.cephas-library.com/charismatics/charismatic_kathryn_kuhlman_and_her_spirit_guide.html

Satan and his minions are master imitators. Hell will be inhabited with a multitude that truly believed that in life they were following God. In fact, Jesus told of the Day of Judgment when men would remind Him of prophesying in His name, but listen to His answer, "Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." (Matthew 7:22-23).

For starters, Kathryn Kuhlman fell in love and had an affair with a married man named Burroughs Waltrip. He divorced his wife in order to be able to marry Kathryn. He informed his wife and two sons by writing home and leaving them the message of the divorce. They married in 1938, but they had been having the affair since 1935. It was not her only involvement with men on the side.

Her clothing was far more than "costly array" that Apostle Paul warned believers to reject (I Timothy 2:9). She was reported to have purchased her wardrobe at the most expensive places and paid up to $1,500 for one stage gown. Present day prices would likely exceed $5,000 plus. Kathryn Kuhlman lived in splendor with expensive art and a life that was close to a movie star. Her official biography said that she was "enamored of the Hollywood mystique."

Satan, through her, worked towards the one world religion.
Kathryn Kuhlman was apparently the first minister within the Evangelical/Pentecostal world that laid a foundation for the new unity movement of religions. It was said by her official biographer, Buckingham, that Miss Kuhlman did not like to conduct her services without Catholic priests on her platform.

She also did slaying of the spirit, which occultists also do. With Kathryn, it didn't matter if the person was an atheist, Jewish, or whatever. Occultists fo the very same thing. Stop being blind and save your soul!

Please read the article at this site, from which I found this material. There are lots of good sites that tell the real truth about this woman.

I agree with cmaglaughlin. All of us who are so full of hate need to quickly go fall on our knees and pray that we can further the Kingdom of God and that satan will not get victory here.

It is a sad thing to hear about the failure of any of our fellow Christians. But aren't we guilty of much worse by spewing out hate-filled, and sometimes, uninformed, opinions of the "correct" look and posture of faith? Remember, nothing we do in the name of the Lord Jesus is worth anything without love, and that should be our position in matters of this nature. And we all must be very careful what we say about a minister of the gospel, regardless of whether we agree with him or not.

God is able to correct and discipline. Let Him take care of it. It's not your place.

Go pray and ask God to give you wisdom before you open your mouth or write something full of hate.

No one should be called to hate Benny Hinn or to even suggest that he deserves the impending divorce. We may never know what his marriage was really like. Most Evangelical leaders have a tendency to keep those issues hush hush. But what concerns me most is that there are many here who suggest that we not even raise the slightest criticism about any person professing to speak for God. What I fear about many Christians esp many Pentecostals is that they are treading on territory that makes them not very much different than many of the cults. God calls us to test all things 1 Cor 14:29-33, 1 John 4:1 If I can't test someones teaching then that is a red flag for me.

" It is a sad thing to hear about the failure of any of our fellow Christians. I really enjoyed your comments. God bless you, from Singapore

To Gentle Lamb: I see that your link to a website supporting the GLBT community. Are you aware that Benny Hinn made a false prophecy regarding Gays in America in 1989.

"The Lord also tells me to tell you in the mid 90's, about '94-'95, no later than that, God will destroy the homosexual community of America. [audience applauds] But He will not destroy it - with what many minds have thought Him to be, He will destroy it with fire. And many will turn and be saved, and many will rebel and be destroyed."

Trying to tell anyone here the truth about what God has said, just makes them call you "hate filled". Well, I believe God's Word and it tells us to test all things. Jesus warned time and time again about the false prophets and teachers of the end times, and plenty of false teachers existed even in His time and right after. How are we to test? By Hiw Word, and they fail. They all had several false prophecies, and if just one false prophecy was told in the OT, they were to be stoned. I guess God is hate filled too.

Just suggesting they research them makes you "hate filled". Well, if they are alive when the rapture comes, they will have their time during the tribulation I guess to remember these words, if they survive the events during the tribulation. I'm sorry I had a soft heart for anyone who is blinded. People who defend someone who says to put caskets in front of their tvs, and he will bring them back to life, etc and defend him are just blind, and I guess I won't waste my time trying to tell them about what God's word says. It's obvious they dont read it, or they just read the parts they like. They would rather hear God's word interpreted by their false preachers, then so be it. They don't want the facts, just their feelings.

It is distressing to see the way some Christians turn on a fellow believer when trouble strikes. There's a description of that kind of behaviour: it's called "kicking a man when he's down". Chuck Girard wrote about such cranky Christians in his song:

"Don't shoot the wounded, they need us more than ever
They need our love no matter what it is they've done
Sometimes we just condemn them,
And don't take time to hear their story
Don't shoot the wounded, someday you might be one."

As for the denials of God's healing today, there have been more healings around the world in the past 5yrs than all the miracles in the NT. That shoulod not be a surprise, because Jesus said his followers would do greater works than he did.

But back to the topic: the Hinn's divorce. When high profile Christians divorce, it gets in the headlines.
But remember, such cases are merely the tip of the divorce mountain. The total U S divorces has been around 1million each year since the mid 1970's. Since 75% of the American population describe themselves as "Christian" that means 1.5million christian adults being divorced each year.

If you take the lower figure of 33% being evangelical Christians, that still yields an annual total of nearly 660,000 divorced evangelical adults being added to the pool of divorcees. Because this has been going on for nearly 40years, the church nationwide has been failing to deal with this. One of the reasons - I believe - is due to pastors/ministers etc, both male and female, being allowed to continue with their ministry. The net result is the muzzling of the church on matters dealing with divorce, for fear of upsetting the huge divorce electorate that sits in most churches.

Someone made reference to Charles Stanley. Apparently, several influential Christians urged him to step down. However, the majority of his supporters wanted him to continue, so he decided to continue in his ministry.
The unspoken message that Stanley's stance conveys is that divorce is part of the church culture, and if it's O K for him, then it's alright for me if I'm so inclined. Charles Stanley did say that "childhood difficulties" were behind his divorce. That is why I say that churches need to address marriage matters much more than they have, in order to preempt the breakdown of marriage and family.

The N T points out that if a man is not treating his wife properly, his prayers will be hindered. A christian wife is not likely to leave her husband if she id being loved and honoured as scripture requires. ( 1Peter 3:7)

When Paul listed the qualities for christian service he emphasised character and conduct in the family. A person may have wonderful gifts, but people copy example before precept. I think that is why he says a man must have only one wife to whom he is happily married. That is the kind of role model young Christians need. Then divorce will be on the outer.
So I hope Benny Hinn steps down and puts all his effort into becoming the husband God wants him to be. That he has not been that kind of husband is evident from the way Suzanne feels the need to move away from him.

Brethren,
Are we tired of love? Who should we support? Is it even necessary to take sides? The word of God says; "Love does not keep a record of wrongs...and bears all things...and never fails.(1Cor 13). Many do not know what God is up to in what is going on. We all are soldiers of Christ and should prayerfully help all those facing marriage problems. The real enemy of marriage is not mentioned in this case. The one who hates marriage is the devil. Marriage represents Christ as the bridegroom and the church as the bride.Anyone who takes another to court for divorce may have forgotten that love doesnot keep a record of wrongs. What is presented before court is the record of wrongs of the other spouse. It may be the evidence of an unforgiving person. We therefore should pray that 1Cor 13 sinks into all of our hearts. Criticism too is evidence of failure to bear all things. I request that whoever reads this should read 1Cor 13 and pray for guidance. I pray that Hinn and Suzanne be strengthened to remember the one who joined them. May God's peace guard the hearts of all who have commented.

My dear friends. There is a shakings going on in the ministry. I believe God is going to begin separating the sheep from the goats. These mega ministries that are taking in, MILLIONS of dollars a year and still begging from the poor are in for the surprise of their lives. Judgment is beginning at the House of God. And it’s the “man followers, women followers” that are falling for this sin. Christian’s have lost their backbone. They follow hype and not God. Yes I’m a Holy Ghost filled man of God. But I believe in truth FADS. I like an article that was sent to me last week and I post it here.
WHERE HAVE ALL THE PROPHETS GONE?
DAVID RAVENHILL

America is in desperate need of a true prophetic voice. It appears we are in a similar situation to the time of young Samuel when we are told; “And word from the Lord was rare in those days, and visions were infrequent.” The sole reason for God’s silence was due to the blatant corruption within the leadership of His house. Those in authority were abusing their office through heavy handed authoritarianism, immorality, and lavish lifestyles. This was at the expense of the people they were called to serve.
Only this morning I read from Lamentations these words. ‘Your prophets have seen for you false and foolish visions; and have not exposed your iniquity so as to restore you from captivity.” The exposing of sin is certainly not a popular message and yet never have we needed to hear a clear clarion call to repentance more than today. It is an embarrassment to realize that the largest church in the nation refuses to call its people to repentance, but continues week after week to trumpet a message of positive affirmation to all who attend regardless of their spiritual condition. This is akin to telling the Church of Sardis, ‘You’re Alive, Alive!” when in fact Jesus said “You’re Dead!”
Something is terribly wrong with the prophetic community. Those referring to themselves as ‘prophets’ seem to have little if any resemblance to their counterpart in the Old or New Testament. Today the title of prophet is worn with pride and those claiming it are in high demand as speakers. Not so in times past where they were accused of being the trouble makers and bearers of bad news. The true prophet refuses to compromise God’s word by maintaining a fierce loyalty to his Master regardless of man’s reaction to his message. Little wonder then that they were persecuted, rejected, stoned and silenced by the very ones God had sent them to.
Only a few days ago I received a prophetic email from a well respected source who featured the latest ‘word’ from a well known prophetic voice. The essence of his word was that God was sending down a new batch of angels unlike any we have known before. These angels of preparation and angels of positioning will define for us a new way etc. He went on to say that God is ‘neutralizing your chromosomes from iniquitous patterns.” It sounds as though God has developed some massive gamma ray that will zap the iniquity of His people. Now I understand why there is no need to preach repentance when all one has to do is let God ‘neutralize’ your iniquity. I’m deeply troubled by this sort of nonsense being spread around as ‘a word from God.’ As for these angels, they seem to have taken on a new role these days of surpassing the work and ministry of the Holy Spirit.
Even more tragic is that even though I have complained about these ‘prophetic words’ in the past, they continue to send them out regardless of how ridiculous and unscriptural they may be.
Where are the true prophets of God? Like the fable about the Emperor’s new clothes the prophetic community seems unable to declare to the Church that she is “poor, wretched, blind and naked.” Instead, they affirm the lie that she is “rich and in need of nothing.”
The closest thing America has as a true prophet is Glen Beck. His passion and penetrating insight into the nation’s sins come closer to the office of the prophet more than anyone else I know. This man’s burden causes him to weep over our nation as did the prophets of old. Could it be that God has to anoint Beck as He did with Cyrus of old because He has searched in vain for one of His own who has ears to hear? I hope not, although I’m still looking and waiting for a ‘voice’ that bears witness with my own spirit that God has truly spoken.
Our nation is in deep trouble not only morally, politically and economically, but most of all, spiritually. The hand writing is on the wall. We either have revival or revolution. We cannot go on with business as usual. Just as the high priest’s duty included trimming the lights of the candlestick in order to maintain the brightest possible flame, so likewise the light of the Church is about to go out due to the buildup of sin that has diminished her testimony to the world . Jesus made clear to us “ If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me.” It’s time for the prophets to arise and declare again, “come out from among them and be ye separate saith the Lord…”

God says in His Word, Titus 1: 6 if a man is blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of dissipation or insubordination.
7 For a bishop must be blameless, as a steward of God, not self-willed, not quick-tempered, not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money,
8 but hospitable, a lover of what is good, sober-minded, just, holy, self-controlled,
9 holding fast the faithful word as he has been taught, that he may be able, by sound doctrine, both to exhort and convict those who contradict.
10 For there are many insubordinate, both idle talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision,
11 whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole households, teaching things which they ought not, for the sake of dishonest gain.

I Timothy 3: 6 if a man is blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of dissipation or insubordination.

I Timothy 4: 12 Let deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well.
13 For those who have served well as deacons obtain for themselves a good standing and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus.
14 These things I write to you, though I hope to come to you shortly;
15 but if I am delayed, I write so that you may know how you ought to conduct yourself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.
16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, Justified in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Preached among the Gentiles, Believed on in the world, Received up in glory.
4:1 Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons,
2 speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron,
3 forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.
4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving;
5 for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
6 If you instruct the brethren in these things, you will be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished in the words of faith and of the good doctrine which you have carefully followed.
7 But reject profane and old wives' fables, and exercise yourself toward godliness.

Matthew 19: 3 The Pharisees also came to Him, testing Him, and saying to Him, "Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for just any reason?"
4 And He answered and said to them, "Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning 'made them male and female,'
5 "and said, 'For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh'?
6 "So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate."

Mark 10: 2 The Pharisees came and asked Him, "Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?" testing Him.
3 And He answered and said to them, "What did Moses command you?"
4 They said, "Moses permitted a man to write a certificate of divorce, and to dismiss her."
5 And Jesus answered and said to them, "Because of the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept.
6 "But from the beginning of the creation, God 'made them male and female.'
7 'For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife,
8 'and the two shall become one flesh'; so then they are no longer two, but one flesh.
9 "Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate."
10 In the house His disciples also asked Him again about the same matter.
11 So He said to them, "Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery against her.
12 "And if a woman divorces her husband and marries another, she commits adultery."

Many ministers of the gospel accept divorce so they can be in the pulpit. Making millions when they own their own business, the church. Many following because they do not know the Word. So sorry you got a divorce sir or lady but your out of the pulpit. That is why the number of divorces among the unsaved is the same as the saved. GOD HELP US! The church (little c) needs to be preparing for the Groom to take His bride, the Church (capital C) without spot or blemish.

I do not support “irreconcilable differences” divorce and I am certainly not condoning Benny or Suzanne Hinn's actions. I did attend the same youth group with Suzanne Hinn in the 1970s, so I became casually acquainted with her before she met Benny Hinn. She was humble and never "pulled rank" to get preferential treatment as the pastor's daughter. She always seemed to have a genuine relationship with God and she regularly reached out to newcomers to make them feel welcome. Suzanne’s care for hurting people is still evident on her ministry website, linked here:

http://www.purifyingfire.org/ministries.htm

Who knows, if she gets half of Benny Hinn’s vast wealth, she may actually do some real good with it if you believe her web site. She says she will “minister God's love to the widows, the orphans and the poor in a practical, as well as spiritual way.”

I pray that Benny will receive the Grace Father God will give him to set ministry aside until he can get his own life in order. If both he and his wife do not see reconciliation as an option then he and all the others who are in ministry and divorced need to be obedient to God’s Holy Word and leave the ministry. God will raise up another too also fill the gap in all of them. The White’s and many others should be out of the ministry but it’s all about $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. How sad. When I read how many millions they all take in through their ministry. If they were to invest it wisely they would never have to do anything but receive offerings without the 45 minute pull and book offers and Bible offers. God forgive them. It appears that they’ve walked against light and now the light has become darkness. Jesus is either Lord of all or not Lord at all. Ministries are not to be living up with the Rich & Famous. Jesus was meek and lowly. They’ve lost that. It is amazing that mega ministries have to pull and beg for offerings to keep going. One of two things are happening. They are not investing the majority in building the Kingdom of God or they are lying. Any way you look at it God’s Word outlines the office of ministry. Husband of one wife, No grounds for divorce.
God help us not to stand in judgement but uphold God's Word.

pat SAYS ON February 23, 2010

I TELL YOU THAT HINN WALKS IN THE SHADOW OF THE ENEMY. ROBBING PRECIOUS WIDDOWS AND OTHER LOW INCOME PEOPLE. THAT IS SIN. IT IS SIN FOR ANY MAN OF GOD TO USE MINISTRY MONEY TO LAVISH THEMSELVES IN 10,000.00 A NIGHT HOTELS. THAT IS SIN TO USE GOD'S MONEY LIKE THAT. HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN OUT OF THE MINISTRY YEARS AGO. PEOPLE LIKE THE HYPE. IT'S A GOOD SHOW. I'VE BEEN THERE AND WATCHED AND LISTENED. I PRAY THAT BEFORE HE TAKES HIS LAST BREATH HE REPENTS.

You do not know me. But I am not posting this with hate in my heart, or anger in my tone. I am posting it because I care about people, and I believe the Bible, and I believe that Jesus will return soon for believers. I feel badly for those who will not heed the words of the Bible. People who continue to hear all the liberal preachers and new age people who redefine Jesus become persuaded by them if they do not study God's word. Everyone should read the Bible every day, set aside some time, it doesn't have to be long, but it's important to do every day, like praying. You need to know the truth so that you do not become persuaded by those who lie about God's Word.

Unlike what Oprah and others say, Jesus says this in Matthew 7 13"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it."

Jesus talked with great love and compassion to those who repented, and of course, forgave them. However, as you read the Bible, notice how he talked to those who did NOT repent. I'm not talking about tax collectors, or Samaritans who were just looked down upon in their society, but people who sinned and continued in it, like the Pharisees. Did He talk to them with gentle love and compassion? Not at all. Jesus spoke very harshly to them, calling them names such as "brood of vipers". Sin makes God angry. God gets very angry and the Bible mentions His wrath more than it mentions the love of God. People who want to ignore or deny this side of God are only fooling themselves. People who want to redefine clear words such as homosexuals, fornicators, lake of fire, can do that all they want, but they will be separated from the BELIEVERS and thrown into the lake of fire if they do not repent of what they know in their hearts is sin.

Hebrews 10 says this:

26If we DELIBERATELY keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, NO sacrifice for sins is left, 27but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God. 28Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29How much more severely do you think a man deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God under foot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified him, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace? 30For we know him who said, "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," and again, "The Lord will judge his people." 31It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

And stop trying to deceive others about the sin of homosexuality.
1cor 6:9-10 9Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, will inherit the kingdom of God."

No matter how many times you say it isn't talking about homosexuals, you are still lying.

Posted by: TRUTH at March 2, 2010. It seems like you must be a angery homosexual. This is not the topic at hand. You need to start a blog with your concerns. You are in a danger zone.
James 4:12 There is one Lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy. Who are you to judge another?
(Jesus) Matthew 7:1 "Judge not, that you be not judged.
2 "For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.
3 "And why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye?
4 "Or how can you say to your brother, 'Let me remove the speck from your eye'; and look, a plank is in your own eye?
5 "Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.
6 "Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces.
7 "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
8 "For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.
Give Scriptures but don’t judge. There is only one judge. There is Scripture sin. Use the Word but don’t you condemn. Your placing yourself in the judgment seat. I know that’s not what you want.
THE TOPIC HERE IS DIVORCE.

How long can one go on in lies and deception?
It will take its toll.
Is Christianity modeled after the likes of Benny Hinn the truth or Christ-like?
There is so much hype about Benny Hinn.
He is nothing more than any other man in the eyes of God but using God's name in vain. Serious matter... and he will be judged and punished till his third generation if his generation can survive till then.
Flaunting about jet-set lifestyles, mansions, big cars are rationalised (or rational lies?).
He is just a religious conman.
Now comes “divorce” over irreconcilable differences.
This is certainly and conclusively not the true Christian principle.
Both Suzanne and Benny are demonstrating the lies they have been living in all these years.
Where are their marriage VOWS made before God and man. Why breach these when they have said “I Do” before God and man.
God is reconciling the world to Himself in spite of ALL irreconcilable differences between man and Himself.
If Christian marriage is parallel to Christ’s love for the loveless church, then Benny and Suzanne Hinn have to re-look at Eph.5:21-33, otherwise they are just like any unbeliever, and are deceivers of even themselves.
Divorce will disqualify them from ministry.
Like a Church divorced from Christ will be a Christ-less Church.
It will be just a cult following a man.
Then again how much of the truth are in them (Benny and Suzanne) if they serve mammon and not God of the Bible?
What price will they give to adhere to the truth of the Bible?
Are they willing to return all the money they have extracted and cheated from the desperate people who turned to them for help but were deceived?
Yves Brault’s book “Behind The Scenes: The True Face of the Fake Faith Healers” published since 1997 is a MUST READ to know what was/is Behind The Scenes of Benny Hinn, Morris Cerullo, Raymond Mooi and many more such false men of God that the foolish hold as charismatic and anointed “leaders”. http://www.cephasministry.com/word_of_faith_behind_the_scenes.html
Truly these are just Bastards as spoken of in Heb.12:8 (KJV). Yes, Bastards and ... Wolves in Sheep’s clothing as spoken of by Jesus.
Time for idols of men to be cut down. God who did not let Pharaoh off on in his hardness of heart will not spare any of these false men of God. There is a time of reckoning. As sure as the sun will rise there will be a judgment coming.
No need to be emotional about this matter of Suzanne divorcing Benny. The cries of all who have complained may not be heeded by Benny but God hears and he will judge Benny Hinn. Can Benny Hinn cross his “Red Sea” that divorces God’s People from the oppressors?
The “Miracle” of the parting of the Red Sea is a great divorce of Pharaoh and God’s people. If the defenders of Benny still fail to see, and they will, they too shall all perish like him. There is also a Mt. Carmel for such as these. 1Kings 18:20.
Ahab and Jezebel, Ananias and Sapphira are just some husband and wife teams that perish in God’s judgment.
NOW SHOWING: Benny and Suzanne.
History lessons are simply ignored or forgotten by arrogant and self promoting men who will not hesitate to re-crucify Jesus.
This DIVORCE of Suzanne and Benny Hinn goes to just conclusively demonstrate what a FALSE man of God as Benny has been.
Benny and Suzanne may not have committed any adultery as announced by Benny himself, BUT their SPIRITUAL ADULTERY is without doubt. Benny’s adulterated Ministry has many bastards consequently and God will separate the goats from the sheep, and the wheat from the tares…

It is REALLY not a time for stating opinions, but a time to pray!!!

I place the Hinn’s in the same class as the Randy and Paula White. Said well, “Bastards in Sheep Clothing.” Paula said that they were getting a divorce because their ministries were taking them in different directions. HOW SICK IS THE CHURCH TO KEEP FOLLOWING CROOKS LIKE HINNS, WHITES PARSLEY ETC. TBN IS GIVING THEM ALL A STAGE TO PROSTITUTE THEIR WORK. SICK BELIEVERS THAT ARE NOT GROUNDED in a local church are chasing after, “MAN/WOMAN”. Yes even those in the church. A sick bunch of, “So called christians. Yes, little c. I question whether or not they are Christians, “The Bride Christ Is Coming For.” Without spot or wrinkle. Ephesians 5:27.

Suzzane, you are hurting now, badly. The agony of making a decision like the one you have is very difficult. Are you strong enough to go through the tug of war the press will put you through? Trust God for strength and the courage you need to overcome this.I amm so sorry that you had to be a victim of the enemy's scheme. But, you will overcome this.
My prayer for you is that our God will bring comfort and vision to you. That the void in your life be filled with his grace and love, and that genuine laughter be in your heart again.

Very sad news (even to those of us who have deep criticisms regarding his ministry and luxurious lifestyle).

But not surprising in a world where Christians are no longer salt and light, no matter what the denomination, on the matter of divorce. Christians have abandoned the basics.

Hooray for Suzanne. I pray that she will have the strength to go through all this mess. I can't believe that Benny said he didn't see it coming. He is trying to make her take all the blame. How vicious. It is all his fault. His corrupt ministry and all his riches and his home worth millions. Taking all that money from those people. Such deceit.

There are MANY rumors circulating about "inappropriate" associations of the worst kind for a man, especially a minister, please confirm them as true Suzanne or otherwise state the reasons you left him.

Suzanne is a member of this cult - http://www.eth-s.com - and Benny (as well as Suzanne ) has spoken at their meetings.

This cult has a HUGE divorce rate, so it's no surprise that, after only being part of it for a few years, that the Hinns are divorcing.

When one marries it is usually said, "forsaking all others and cleave only unto her' I believe that this means more than another person. A husband should be cleaving to his wife in their home. He was away just too much, while he was out preaching. What is a marriage if they are not together.

I was married to a pastor who practically did nothing to sustain his family morally or financially. He spent very little time with the things of God and sent me his wife to work and took care of him and four children. I was so burned out from working overtime. All counseling on him by other men of God failed. He even refused to send his first child to college but asked him to go to his mother. This shattered the union. Jesus said my Father works and I work. The bible says laziness is a sin. If a man does not support his family, he is worse than an infidel and many more. There are biblical exceptions where divorce is allowed. I divorced this man and was so liberated to serve God without hipocricy. I will never say anything about the Hinn couple. Let God be in control of their situations. I don't know about Benny Hinn but my ex man was a practical hipocrite and so many complained about him. They were right but I was trapped in shame. Even his families went to other christian church rather than his. They were relieved to see the divorce accomplished. Up till now this man does not care or provide for his children. His point has been that he was called to preach and my job was to go to work alone.
Please everyone should work out their own salvation with fear and trembling as the bible says. Do not look onto man. Jesus in the one who went to the cross and not man. Leave Benny Hinn situation alone. God is merciful to ALL. He who has no sin let him cast the first stone. AMEN!

I really pray that those who call Pastor Benny a wolf in sheep's clothing will someday see the Light. He is not. I sat under his ministry for many years and saw his heart. My oldest daughter was very sick as a teenager. We went from doctor to doctor because of her heart, and were backed into a corner because none knew what to do. I cried out to God and prayed. Then she decided as a young teenager to go to one of his crusades. During the part when he told the people to ask God to heal them, she asked God to heal her heart, lungs, and ulcers; and do you know what? She called me Sunday night in another state where I lived to tell me when she prayed that, she felt a heat come on her which was God's power and God totally healed her in that service. Before, she couldn't even breathe in the state of Illinois; she had developed an intolerance to the air for whatever reason, and did better in higher elevations, but still had difficulty and still needed a miracle. When she called to tell me God healed her, I was overjoyed. I asked God to somehow make the way for me to be able to see the segment they show on tv when she was healed, and one day, I was watching, and saw a beautiful girl dressed up with curled hair walking towards Benny when his pastor announced "this girl was healed of heart problems>" I didn't recognize her at first until the moment he touched the side of her face to release the power of the Holy Spirit, I all of a sudden realized it was Liz, my daughter, and I jumped up off the couch and cried out "Liz!!!" I was stunned to actually see her, and how precious God was to answer my prayers, not only in healing her, but getting to see her healed on tv in another state. I then had to pick her up at the St. Louis airport, the next week, and she had on the same outfit as on tv, and you know what? She had absolutely no trouble breathing, she was totally healed, and a new person. That was a miracle that no one could fabricate; Pastor Benny to this day doesn't even know this story....people need to be careful what they say about God's annointed servants, because they will stand before God for it, unless they repent and ask forgiveness. You look at the man, Benny Hinn and criticize him but you don't see that it is the mercy and love of Jesus revealing His love to a lost and dying generation through Benny's ministry, and others. Again, watch what you say.

There but for the Grace of God go I!
Christians ought to pray without ceasing not being consumed with negative judgements in situations that we are not involved in.
Prayer changes things!
If you cannot help somebody and you can only tear them down with a dead and negative Word in their time of inner anguish and pain you are like those who alienated the woman at the well. She was a victim who had to go very early to the well. Instead of gathering together boulders where the3 vulture would hover try building people up.

Benny is hiding something from everyone. maybe it's something he did, or maybe it's something that happened to him in the past. And it is the root of a lot of Hinn's problems. For this reason, Hinn really needs to stop what he is doing and focus on derooting anything and everything that will hinder the future ministry, the future of his family, his own future, and the future of all christian ministries.
This is how I have felt about Benny since the first time I have ever seen him. Benny really needs to clean up his life, not just for other people but for his own good. When I see his lavish lifestyle, and the things he says, I really believe there is something more serious at hand than simply plain selfishness or greed. Benny also sometimes seems unsure or a bit lost to me. I'm worried about the Hinn Family, and their ministries. I'm worried about both them and the problems they may cause.
I pray for them whenever I'm reminded.
But instead of putting them down, or encouraging him to continue the ministry.
everyone of us should be sending messages to Hinn, telling him to take a break and just focus on him and his family, and to simply work on himself for a while.
After all everyone needs to take time off every once and a while to revaluate, refocus, reorganize, and simply face any personal issues instead of ignoring them and letting em take a even deeper root.
Benny needs to get away from his lavish and busy life style so that he can focus easier on finding solutions to his current problems, and probaly to destress as well.
And once he is ready to come back, come back.
you know what I'm saying?

And anyone that doesn't see that Benny Hinn has problems is blind. Because everyone has problems. seriously. And from my experience power and money can easily corrupt most people. Benny is no different. He is human like all of us. And he obviously has money problems. So we need to pray for him and let him know that we need him to take care of his own problems, his own issues, and sins before he leads us in the same.

It's a SHAME that so many Christians are so quick to be mean spirited...just like the devil...

Whether you agree with Benny Hinn's ministry, or not, God still loves him and Christians should have enough biblical sense to at least pray for the man

Matthew 7:2
For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged

James 2:13
For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment

Barbara, you need to start reading your Bible more and deceptioninthechurch less.

You've chosen to believe gossips and liars and unbelieving "believers" and have become one yourself.

Let me say it another way.

If you don't repent, you will be judged for your gossip and your lies and perpetrating the gossip and lies of others.

The Bible clearly addresses all of this.

Here's a clue. Benny Hinn doesn't answer to you. Who are you to judge the servant of another? That's in YOUR Bible.

If you'll take care of the man in the mirror (or woman as the case seems to be) you'll help yourself immensely.

Now, to correct your ignorant theology, healing is, without question, PART of the definition of the Greek word "sozo" which is the word "saved" in the Scriptures that says, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved."

You've been lied to and if you'll quit striving against the Word of God and read it with faith and quit listening to lying preachers who promote unbelief to justify their own, you'll find much more than healing. You'll find that "with God all things are possible."

That IS SCRIPTURE, Barbara and you're playing the fool to deny its legitimacy because you don't know God.

I said you don't know God -- I didn't say you're not born again. Getting born again is as easy as falling off a turnip truck, but knowing God requires hearing Him and responding to Him in faith. Your hatred for those who preach faith (Jesus was one of them, though you don't understand that) clearly reveals that you don't know God because "without faith it is impossible to please Him" and you don't understand this. You think pleasing Him is wrapped up in conforming to the dishonest and hypocritical false doctrine that you wrongly believe represents God's Word accurately.

Here's another clue. It doesn't.

These signs shall follow them that believe...

I'm sure you know the rest (and despise it, just like those you parrot, but Jesus said it and He NEVER lies). The reason I quote it is simply this: If the liars you love don't have the things following them that Jesus said WILL FOLLOW THEM THAT BELIEVE, then just how smart do you need to be to realize that you're listening to the wrong people?

Well, Barbara. It will be a great day when you get that smart.

LUCINDA,

You think she's hurting, huh? Rebellion against God and one's husband is should bring problems and conflicts.

You're offering bad advice. By inference, you're telling her to pretend that she's not in direct and clear disobedience to God, His Word and her husband and won't bear the consequences. That's not good counsel, even if it's only suggested or implied.

I am appalled at the number of people who open their mouths, supposedly as Christians, and spew garbage so contrary to the clear counsel of Scripture.

Comforting someone in rebellion isn't wise.

You should have held your peace.

Rich,

You spread gossip and then blame Benny Hinn for his wife's filing divorce. Scripture please.

In light of the proliferation of women's liberation (a bad tree with bad fruit), women presume many things. Please check your Bible and tell us "two or three" Scriptures that EVER, AT ANY TIME, tell a woman that she has any right to initiate a divorce besides desertion. The last I knew "irreconcilable differences" and "desertion" were not synonyms.

Submit, obey and fear (and if you want to pretend that the Bible doesn't tell a woman to fear her husband, then that's exactly what you're doing -- pretending) do not make provision for a woman to do as Suzanne Hinn has done. To blame Benny for it publicly with no evidence, is folly. You're wrong to do so.

I erred and moved too quickly to post and used the name under the post rather than the name before the post, failing to notice the line was a separator.

The results were that I addressed "Barbara" when I should have addressed "Frances."

My apologies to Frances especially and to all I might have confused.

Second correction:

I erred again and used the name under the post rather than the name before the post, failing to notice the line was a separator.

The results were that I addressed "Rich" when I should have addressed "David."

My apologies to Rich especially and to all I might have confused.

Third stupid error and correction:

This was really my second post where I used the name under the post rather than the name before the post, failing to notice the line was a separator.

The results were that I addressed "LUCINDA" when I should have addressed "Alicia."

My apologies to LUCINDA especially and to all I might have confused.

Here's hoping I'm done with dumb mistakes.

Now why on earth would Christians consider a Benny Hinn divorce scandal as a Christian matter at all? I have studied his very populist, superficial writings, and watched his own productions, and he is clearly a charismatic, and not a Christian. Divorce is sad, as is any human misfortune. Toufik Benedictus, Benny to you, couldn't handle the materialistic, capitalistic possibilities of America, and went crazy with building an empire. But his misfortune, and his family's misfortune, has always been his crass, egocentric, Biblically insulting theology and lifestyle. This is an internal matter for the charismatic world, and I am puzzled why so many Christians believe it to be an internal Christian matter when the man has never been a Biblical believer. I might add, tho he is from Yaffo, part of the municipality of Tel Aviv, he is not a Jew in any way. He is almost totally unknown in the land of his birth, except for some non-Jewish charismatics from Ukraine and Russia. He is considered an American huckster, an Elmer Gantry, by the few who have heard of him. The issue isn't whether or not he is perfect, since no one is. Nor is it that Satan is attacking a man of God. It is Hinn's own pact with Satanic, egocentric materialism. David from Israel.

To Mark Galli: Hi, if you are referring what Jesus says in the Bible, AT LEAST refer it exactly CORRECTLY. Jesus did't say what you wrote. This is from the Bible: (I'm finnish, and read finnish bible, so I translate it by my self): Anyone that divorces ANY OTHER REASON than infidelity, commits adultery.
So there IS BIBLICAL reason for divorce. In old testament times adulterous wife/husband was to be stoned.
Bible doesn't say anything about situations when wife's and childrens lives are in danger in a marriage because of a violent husband. But I have red many answers of strong believers to those women.

Let's quit trying to remove the beam out of someone else's eye, when we have a plank in our own. (in the Bible) Let's pray for one another, and love our neighbor as ourself. Everything else will fall into place

How sad! I believe in the Word, and that the Ministers & Priests and other leaders arenot taking time to read, study and put to use the very Words which Jesus ask us to live by. I also believe that if you are not rooted deep in the Word, these things will Happen because the Devil is roaming about seeking the ruin of souls, to seek whom he can devour!!
Some are only concerned about their riches, building empires, and their own self satisfaction. Jesus tells us in Corin. (the Love Chaper) that we are to Love our spouse, as Christ Loves the Church. I believe that you must put spouse and family above all else, even when you are a Minister or Priest. We who are quick to Judge the sins of others, Usually are-not happy ourselves, and Christ tells us not to Judge, that He will do the Judging, and He will take "Revenge". We are to pray for out leaders, which I sometimes find very hard to do----especially in the case of those who Molest Children etc. etc. and then keep it secret and let the Molestors carry on and abuse others.
God's Word tells us to put on the Full Armor of God!!

I am really disappointed in the fact that television ministers who preach a holiness gospel cannot keep their families together. It makes me wonder how so many people are decieved by these men. I have just been married for three years and remained single for most of my adult life as a Christian believer. My marriage relationship comes first before any ministry in or out of the media. Our families should always be the most important one, as God brought those people together to compliment one another. It's amazing that the reconized Morman Church, whom we call a major cult, have an extremely low divorce rate and their presidents have been married to the same wife for many years.I respect them for their moto that families come first. Why can't we as evangilical Christians apply that doctrine to our own lives? I do not follow television preachers any more and stick to and support my local fellowship where we attend. Mark 10:9 SAYS; What God has joined together, let no man put (tare) asunder. Thank you.

Man, tongues are a waggin' and the Christian taliban are out in force.
We don't even know what's true and there are tutorials here on divorce, authenticity, relationships, history, opinion and even a few testimonies.
Lots of confusion here, God would only have one or two words. Let's see how this plays out... but it does appear Benny's been playing find the hot dog' with Paula.

I respect and love Benny Hinn as a man of God.I believe he is sincere in his calling to preach the Word. I am really hurt that this divorce has happened. I was really saddened. And I am praying for him and his family, the ministry that he will be faithful to God to the end. If there's any way that he be reconciled to his wife, praise God forevermore. If not, let it be that he remain unmarried for the sake of the Gospel that he preach, and for his own sake, also his vast following.
For the rest of us: God's word says, "for this the world may know that you are God's disciples "IF YOU LOVE ONE ANOTHER."Let's pray for our leaders and let's love one another by bringing all our concerns to the throne of the God of mercies.
