Van Impe leaves TBN over ‘Chrislam’ remarks

Jack Van Impe, a popular End Times broadcaster, has ended his decades-long run on Trinity Broadcasting Network after a dispute over naming ministers that he accuses of mixing Christian and Muslim beliefs.

Earlier this month, Van Impe named California megachurch founders Rick Warren and Robert H. Schuller as proponents of “Chrislam,” which he defined as “a uniting of Christianity with Islam.” TBN pulled the episode before a repeat broadcast could air.

Michigan-based Jack Van Impe Ministries said its board of directors decided unanimously Thursday (June 17) to no longer work with TBN.

“We would not be able to minister effectively if we had to look over our shoulder wondering if a program was going to be censored because of mentioning a name,” said Ken Vancil, executive director of the ministry, in a statement.

TBN president and founder Paul Crouch expressed disappointment with the ministry’s decision.
“Although I understand, and actually agree with, your position that you ‘will not allow anyone to tell me what I can and cannot preach,’ I trust you understand that TBN takes the same position with its broadcast air time as well,” Crouch wrote in a letter to Van Impe.

Van Impe’s program cited Warren’s speech to an Islamic conference in Washington in 2009 and Schuller’s keynote address at an interfaith conference called “A Common Word” in 2008.
Van Impe and his co-host wife, Rexella, also claimed Warren said churches can attract new believers by taking crosses down from inside and outside their buildings.

In a June 8 tweet, Warren said just the opposite: “If you remove the cross from the church, it’s no longer the church. Just a social club.”

Comments

Does anyone else see the irony in this? Van Impe wants to call out others on "doctrinal" issues? Especially on TBN?

So what's the difference between Harold Camping preaching that the so-called Rapture would take place on May 21st, or dispensationalists like Jack Van Impe preaching that "all the signs declare that the end is near -just around the corner - soon - imminent - impending - or any time now?" Maybe TBN can fill Van Impe's empty programming slot with Camping.

Jesus Christ tells us that no one except God knows when the end will come! I hope that the end will come soon, but I live day to day with the knowledge that I may never see it myself, and that even my grandchildren may never see it.

Reminder. Please post comments on topic. This article is not about end times theology.

I for one am happy to see Van Impe leave the air. He has always been an over bloated, judgmental preacher who is more in love with himself, than the true Word. Where does he come across judging others like he does. The last I heard God is the ultimate judge and discerns the hearts of man. His twisted interpetationo of some of the scripture is a sad commentary on those who believe and expound the Word of God faithful.....nothing lost....

Why is it wrong to say many of America's Evangelical leaders
are wrong and compromise truth like Rick Warren does? When scripture commands leaders to correct truth error? Jude 3,
2 Timothy 4:1-4. Peter was rebuked by Paul for his hypocrisy.
Gal 2, is this acceptable today? Not on TBN, which compromises
truth.

How can people state clearly that the Jesus presented by Islam is
false when compared to the scripture of the Bible? How do you win
people involved in false religions? By asking questions, by love,
etc. Confronting error by some type of method. If the error
had been Catholic in nature, it would not have been tolerated
to any extend by most networks because Evangelical leaders in
America compromise truth. Paul Crouch being 1 of many.

I listen to Drs. Jack and Rexella Van Impe often. I don't always agree with everything he says, and I may be wrong, but he teaches the Word of God more accurately than many. We Christians and those who do not know Jesus would do well to listen to what he says and then go to the Bible for verification. Personally, I hope he stays on the air until the Lord takes him.

I wish Dr. Van Impe and TBN had kept this matter quiet, just between the two of them. It does not help the cause of Christ that this information is public knowledge.

Does anything at all on TBN help the cause of Christ? I refuse to watch that channel that has mostly, if not all, preachers who preach that people can become gods, that they can get rich if they send money in, that they can find diamonds on the ground, that they can raise the dead, that if people get sick or have diseases, it's due to lack of faith, and many don't believe in the Trinity or have a distorted view of it. And that's just a short list. I have just read their statements, I won't watch them, they would make me cringe. They teach false doctrine, I think they make Christians look like idiots, and they try, and succeed, at robbing people of their money. God will judge most of them harshly. I pray that people do NOT watch TBN, as God will provide true witnesses to His Word. James 3:1 "Let not many of you become teachers, my brethren, knowing that as such we will incur a stricter judgment."

While I don't know very much about Dr. van Impe, I agree with him 100% about this issue. These attempts to combine Christianity and Islam (whether those he accuses of endorsing this practice do so or not) only serve to confuse the unsaved or young Christians and are strictly against the Word of God. We should be showing God's love through things like medical mission work or similar pursuits, eventually talking to others about Him, but should NEVER compromise the message.

It doesn't seem they disagree on the issue of Islam, but on the issue of criticizing other preachers publicly. I don't watch everything on TBN, but they have some great programs on also for children. And J Bre what is wrong w/ raising the dead? Jesus himself did it and said we will do greater works. He also said not to judge otherwise we get judged also. I pray this issue will not get distorted. Lets lift both of these ministries up to the Lord .Blessings

Though I am not a fan of Dr. Van Impe, his influence is small compared to that of Rick Warren. I am not an alarmist or end-time prognosticator; however, it will not likely be someone like a Van Impe who will lead many astray, but more likely someone like a Warren. The "world" actually listens to Warren and believes that he speaks for the Bible, God and the Church and that he sounds reasonable. Most of the time this probably true, but because he has now seemed to think of himself as being wise, and is in many ways bigger than those who may want to keep him true to God's Word. Wanting so badly to be cool, relevant and tolerant can lead good Christian leaders down a dangerous road.

I love TBN period,if Paul took jack van impe of the air I believe he was following Gods orders

Yes this is unfortunate that it has been made so public. I too agree with what van Impe has said on the issues surroundinng Chrislam. This is a very scary issue. The bible actually speaks of these lies and deceptions. Like the previous blogger I too love TBN but I think it is trurly unfortunate that you are so devout to TBN to blindly accept that if TBN disagreed with van Impe then "Paul.....was following God's orders" You have to be very careful of taking definitive sides on issues like these. I believe both sides mean well and are both acting in "good faith" however, only one can be right. I assure you chrislam is far from truth.

If the Qu'ran and the Bible are compatible . . . why do we need both? Let's just use the one with the earlier copyright. Oh, that's right the Bible says if any man comes to you with another gospel other than the one we taught . . . consider him to be accursed. Yep, guess we better just stick with the Bible. Guess they're not compatible after all. Why are people saying that they are? Oh yea, Satan. I almost forgot about him. Yep, that's why they're saying Chrislam is okay. I just got a bit confused. Maybe that's the point, "Keep the sheep confused". But pastors are supposed to lead sheep? Wow, is God going to be ticked off at them or what? Good thing I still have a KJV so I can get God's advice anytime some lost preacher wants to lie to me about my eternal salvation. Whew, I feel better.
GO GET UM JACK N REXELLA, Amen

P.S. This needs to be made public. People in the wrong need to be corrected. People following those in the wrong need to be told so they can evaluate the teaching for themselves. Secrecy is of Satan. If you cant stand up and proclaim what is right within the body of Christ, how dare we presume to proclaim to those outside where we stand on our belief. Publicize this up to the stars and with trumpets sounding, the Truth is the Truth and it shall make you free.Do not put a lamp under a basket.

Should I be surprised...Crouch is only interested in money and not the truth----oh yeah, the truth is okay so long as it doesn't cost him anything. If he agrees with JVI then what is the issue......stand for nothing and fall for anything?? Warren, what kind of an idolatrous pagan are you? Do you need your idols to define the difference of what is really in your heart.....ever hear of the 2nd commandment?

I was watching some nightly news and Rick Warren was being interviewed. He called God his co-pilot (that is God is not in control but just a helper for man). Ever since then I have been watching and more and more rediculous stuff do I hear. We don't need to read his ramblings on our purpose, God already told us our purpose in scripture. If God is not the supreme being holding everything together, I am not going to trust any church, book or anything else that utters those words.
I am glad Van Impe is leaving, he can do better and the lost (not the unchurched) need to be saved. Beware of wolves in sheep clothing, they are leading people astray!

I was very troubled over all this.I love jvi and tbn, watch both often.Sunday my pastor said a lot of churches were starting to use the bible and the coran together, and because he hisitated a moment....I said Lord if he thinks that is the right thing to do ...I am walking out of this church! Then he said THAT IS WRONG. I almost started to cry.We as sheep need to know the truth and I for one appauld jack for telling it. Thank you JVI

What's the bottom line goal here? Churches meshing with another religion is absolutely wrong. It sounds like certain folks are using Warren to encourage this indoctrination. I've listened to the taping of Van Impe as of recent. They present quite a picture of Warren's beliefs. This is not the first time I've heard this. There is only one way to the Father, folks; and this is Jesus Christ. Any church or organization who dilutes the blood of the Living Christ, by incorporating other doctrines, thwarts absolute truth. Surely David Wilkerson would have no part in it whatsoever. This article quoted Warren at the very end. It almost makes Van Impe look like he doesn't know what he's talking about. I realize everyone has a right to explain themselves, but I'm with the hopes that this organization is doing their homework on Warren. Some things just cannot be tolerated; this is certainly one. Futhermore, the Van Impes have a valid argument regarding the one-world church. Lastly, while interfaith 'sounds' to have good intentions, use your discernment. Satan knows he has to tip-toe and cannot do anything whatsoever on these issues without cooporation from the Believers. The one-world church agenda will usher in the very one God reveals in Revelations. It will also denounce God's true followers in the end. This issue is critical. Any so-called church institute that collaborates on such a thing is a set up and operating with underground agendas while hiding behind a steeple. And yet, the Scriptures have forewarned us of those who appear to stand by truth, yet are rubbing shoulders with lucifer's men. These men have clout? What clout? Bankers? My Father owns it all and I stand by Him solely and without compromise. Jesus Christ hung like a slab of meat, so brutally torn up that he no longer appeared human. Any compromise on His part? His blood is powerful and He happens to be the great I AM. I promise you He is going to have His way in the end. Who can possibly stand before Him without trembling?

"'In a June 8 tweet, Warren said just the opposite: “If you remove the cross from the church, it’s no longer the church. Just a social club.”'

With or without it, that's been happening for decades. Many have crosses by the dozens in and around their auditoriums, buildings and temples and are just that social clubs. Better yet, Political partisanhip groups. They remind me of Rev. 17:2; 18:3,9

What we have NOT seen are the words spoken by Schuller and Warren nor the words spoken by VanImpe. More detailed and accurate information would permit each of us to have a more informed opinion. Who will have the courage to post this info?

VanImpe has consistently used news releases of world events to illustrate the "times" and has memorized and quotes more Scripture than any individual on TBN in the entire history of that network.

He has never said "Jesus is coming on thus and such date". He has always said that the events (ripening of the figs on the tree for example)and prophecy in the Word of God will tell us the ."SEASON". Any comparison to a lying "prophet" such as Camping is an outrage.

VanImpe is an absolute relief and breath of pure air compared to the shouting, posturing, dramatic actors loving the spotlight, strutting back back and forth across the TBN stages, wearing ridiculous outfits, dyed hair, screaming statements about what "God thinks or says" that have absolutely NO Scriptural accuracy. Who gives people like that inside lines to what God "thinks" about something when there is not an iota of Bible verification in their opinion of God's thoughts! It's pretty unlikely, but makes audiences nod approvingly and clap loudly. I don't know what God thinks, but I think I would rather hear purity of teaching.

I watch John Hagee daily, Jack VanImpe, Kenneth Copeland and that's pretty much the extent of my TBN viewing. I watch them because they are preachers of the Word of God, their sermons are "Word" centered, "Word" quoting, building up faith through the preaching of the Word of God. If the Bible speaks, they speak, if the Bible is silent, they are silent.

A little more silence please from the screaming showmanship that assaults my spirit from 97% of TBN's lineup.

Religion is only the Institution of Revelation to share the Logos with the Masses. Revelation is God inspired. There is much more to Theology and of all Religions and Philosphy then to come up with such an idotic term and combination of another man made creation such as Chrislam. Before stepping where Angels fear to tread one better seek the Revelation of the One True God over all Creation before moving forward with such a proposal. So I commend Jack Van Impe for setting down a foot and removing a vail from unsuspecting parishoners who may not have come to the full understanding of The Grace of Christ. There may be many roads to heaven but there is only one way in and there is only one way unto the Father. And there is no other that was willing or able to step up and make the claim than the One who became man known as the Lamb of God.
Lovingly
Michael

I love TBN. @andrew Thumbs Up and others who expressed their opinion. If you look at this topic, it reminds me of the oppressed! Funny; and for instanc, I have heard all about what happened to all other groups of people holocaust but little about how and what was and is being done to keep the African American people who has and is being treated the worst...are you not my brother and sister...and doesn't the Bible say love your brother & sister as I love you?

I had watched several episodes leading to Jack Van Impe naming Rick Warren and Robert H. Schuller. Keep in mind the reason why is because they believe Christianity and Islam can be one. Dr Van Impe gave information on how this can't be due to the whole fact that Muslims believe Jesus is a false prophet who will say he never died on the cross, it was all fake. Christianity's whole belief is on the Living Christ, who did die, who did rise and whose Spirit is indwelling in those that believe. So, can the two religions become one....not unless Christians believe Jesus to be false or Muslims agree that he is the Messiah. What is more disturbing is that TBN pulled a re-broadcast. I watched Behind The Scenes tonight and Paul Crouch mentioned that he has worked with Rick Warren and how he is a Christian, etc....but the word of God says you will know my people, simply by their works. If you work to put a seed of disbelief in the mind of saints....If you work to put an end to the "Cross"....how can you be any of His, how can you be considered "Christ like". As Christians we just have to pray for discernment and ask God for guidance not to take heed to those "seducing spirits". I enjoyed reading all the comments.

Has anyone asked Rick Warren, or is everyone quoting everyone and not one knows what the truth is? Let us find out from Rick if he is truely the believer we knew him to be. I believe he said there is no such thing as a frozen at the mouth Christian, and I have never read any of his books, literature that would in anyway make me think he would mix anything with the Bible as know it to read. Certainly he would walk and talk to unbelievers and preach to them. So I am waiting for that interview with Rick asking him if he has a new Bible, and a new Jesus and if he believes he can add to the Bible.

The Bible says to mark those among you who have compromise and who are causing division within the church. We need to be aware of false doctrines, wherever they are coming from. I applaud Dr.VanImpe for calling out error. He is a watchman for the Body of Christ, and he is totally scriptural in his beliefs. Although I have watched certain programs on TBN, and am a monthly contributer to their network, I have questioned many of their broadcasts, Christian Rock, for instance. I am a musician, and my carnal friends in the business ridicule that music, understandably. we are to be separate from the world... in it, but not OF it. Islam is of the world and is a doctrine of devils. It's a matter of God vs Satan, and any compromise the church has in this regard is a serious matter and should be stopped. I commend anyone who has the courage to do so, publically or not. Jesus, himself, cast the money changers out of the temple. Kenneth Copeland, Benny Hinn, Jesse Duplantis and several others are fine examples of Christians who believe in the uncompromising Word of God. Each has a different focus, according to scripture, as every joint supplies. The hand cannot say to the foot is has no need of it! But when people begin spreading the doctrines of FALSE religions, opposing the Word of God, they must be exposed, particularly when they are in the high profile of the media. Then, it is not a private matter, but a public one. Dr. Van Impe is as a "watch dog". What do watch dogs do at an intruder? They warn! We cannot fault him for that. That is his ministry. TBN should not quench the Holy Spirit in those who are speaking through Him. Perhaps they expected him to call each minister first, and who's to say that he didn't? In any case, I pray that his ministry will continue unhindered, for we truly need him at a time like this! He's done the right thing. Jesus said to leave when they don't receive your message, and wipe the dust from off your feet! I love TBN, but this isn't the first time they've discontinued broadcasting ministries just because those ministries offended the unbelieving.-Jesus said, If I be lifted up I will draw all men unto me. He didn't say if you become like the world you'll win people! I would that ye were hot or cold, but because you are lukewarm I will spew you out of my mouth-...Be cautious, Dear TBN. Hold fast to the ministry wherein God has called you....

I am 70 years old and have watched TBN turn from preaching the true word of God. They are now the same as hollywood, wanting nothing more than to make money. They all live the hollywood style , big fancy homes and the big fancy cars. Jan has become so redicluse looking with her pink out of style wigs and barbie doll clothes that I must say I have to not look, but change the channel. They spend our donations on themselves and their high living life style. So sad to see the poor giving them more money. I find no where in the bible that God makes us rich for giving to them. Find agood bible teaching church and give to it and help it grow to win people to Christ

It is so sad that Matt wants to embrace Chrislam. I think Paul Sr. maybe on the right side, but is influenced by his son's who have gotten way off the tract, by believing in the change by Rick warren.
Do we want to encourage the Muslim religion who doesn't believe in
Jesus being the son of God. How sad this must make Jesus who bled and died on the CROSS that rick Warren, Matt and Paul Jr. might have eternal life and they are rejecting what he did for them.I have for many years supported TBN but no longer. I will support the churches who believe in Jesus Christ, not the Muslims. They are so blind to what the Muslims are planning and where do you think the Anti Christ will come out of.
Thanks to Dr. Van Impe for bringing us to the truth. It is scarey what America is beginning to allow, and how God in his wisdom must feel so betrayed. I also can't believe that The Crystal Cathedral is also spreading this nonsense. I guess Alzhymers disease has caught up with Schuller.

I am the good Shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. As the Father knoweth me, even so I know the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. - Jesus John 10:14-15

But there were false prophets among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious (destructive) ways; by reason of whom the way of Truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with deceptive words make merchandise of you:whose judgement now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not- Peter, 2 Peter 2:3

Thirty-one times the word deceive is used in the Bible. Aren't we to warn others of the deception and the greater deception that is coming? How comes the deception, through a lie from Satan, which questions what God said and the effect of God's word for disobedience and a temptation to do that which God has forbidden or prohibited. Isn't Dr. Van Impe warning us against the temptation to comprise the truth by exposing the sources where the lies or comprise are coming from? Good Christian Policies are necessary and should be implemented, however, Policies are not scriptural truth and where Apostle Peter deviated and comprised from scriptural truth to obey traditional policies, Apostle Paul was in the right to publicly name and rebuke him for comprising. Even TBN showed the movie about Apostle Paul doing this to Apostle Peter and Peter repenting in the movie for not having followed Paul's example!! Oil & Water do not mix, the BP Oil spill in the Gulf demonstrated that! So spiritual truth (oil) & earthly carnal thinking (Chrislam) doesn't either! And those who teach it can are deceived!

I have an idea: How about TBN inviting Van Impe, Warren, and Schuller on a special program, possibly called, CLEARING THE AIR? All parties should accept, if they truly want to expand the flock. By making this opportunity possible, TBN, likewise, would expand their flock, since this entire conflict began there. I believe that if egos are left at the door these powerful entities could reveal the real truth for what the "sheep" are so desperately searching.I have read all of the comments and I have observed hurt, anger, and confusion. Sadly, we all know who the author of confusion is. I believe it's the same one who is the prince of the power of the air. Come on, now, let's CLEAR THE AIR!

Van Impe is alot like Fox News - takes things out of context of even totally misquote people just to suite their views. Hateful rants from fundamental evangelists never bring people to Christ - it just pushes them away. And alot of evangelicals today just use their programs to promote their own politcal views and mix it with abit of religion to make it look like a christian program.

The message of Chrislam is wrong. Exodus 20:3 AMP says that there will no other gods BEFORE OR BESIDES ME...We need to pray for Rick Warren and Robert Schuller before they fall too deep in deception because the whole BODY OF CHRIST is being attacked...

When the disciples ask Jesus when he will return, yes it said Only my Father knows the exact day and the hour. But what He did reveal through His own words and through the Revelation of John all of the signs. Jesus went so far as to give a range of time. That being when Israel become it's own Nation, that generation shall not pass away. Well I am a part of that generation and I am, as John Hagee states, I am packed up looking up for my Redemption draws nigh" If you read and study the End Times that is in the Word of our God and now at this time He is revealing the understanding of, all End Time Prophecy has happened or in place to happen at anytime. The only reason Jesus has not come for us is because our Father will not send His Son until the last person on earth that is to come to Christ has come to Christ. With the Teaching of God's Word being broadcast around the world via radio and television, the time of the last person is drawing near. Men and Women profess to be children of
God, but their words clearly do not line up with the Word of God, is just part of the signs of the End Times. Because we cannot be judges of men, we can Judge the Fruits of their words and actions. Beware and rebuke any teachings of Chrislim as God's Word is from the only TRUE GOD and cannot be blended with any other teaching of false gods. God Bless all Children of God

I think it is time for the Christians to take a stand for what is right. I love to watch Jack Van Imp. He is straight forward and he is doing what need to be done. We say we are Christians and we say we love Christ. But yet we don't take a stand for what is right. We are living in the day and time where Good is evil and Evil is good and that's not right. If the people are not warned then there blood will be upon the ones that know but said not a word.Eze 33:1 Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

Eze 33:2 Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman:

Eze 33:3 If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people;

Eze 33:4 Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.

Eze 33:5 He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul.

Eze 33:6 But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take [any] person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand.

The problem with this article and the show from Van Impe, is that no one evidently took the time to research the facts. I have not read the Schuller speach, however I have read the Warren speach - he propogates #1 the gospel of Jesus Christ and #2 that we should love our neighbors - which includes the Muslims. An act, or demonstration of love in his speech is the willingess to work on humanitarian projects side by side. He calls for peace - he specicifally says in his speech: "Now I was asked to speak to you about how Muslims and Christians can work closer together for the greater good, in our world. And I will tell you that I am not interested in interfaith dialogue, I am interested in interfaith projects. There is a big difference."

For information on who actually started the whole "Chrislam" thing - look at NTEB's web-site (to be clear, they are the ones who have started the problem)... they have several misquotes and if you read careful, you can see they are the primary source used by Van Impe and others. So it's basically a game of telephone where several people are quoting a misguided source. Christiany Today as well as Van Impe is participating in gossip.

We need to work harder at getting facts. Even in the blog responses, you can see people interpreting the Christianity Today article as meaning the TBN kicked Van Impe off - but of course he was not - he voluntarily left.

As for the "remove the crosses" thing - Van Impe is pulling from a 20 year old book where Warren is talking about how sometimes symbols and idols get in the way of the message of the Bible. If you go to Saddleback church (Warren's church) you will find lots of crosses. Warren actual said if you remove the cross, you make the church just a social club.

This is very sad - we can disagree with how Warren is tryin got

I go along with what everyone is saying about this chrislam, which is wrong, I have been on the Saddleback Church-Blog Center website, and on there Rick Warren denies all these allegations and says he would never compromise the Truth of God's Word, also he has not taken down any crosses either.
So I think there is a lot of crossed wires (misunderstandings), and both sides should come together to explain why these accusations have come about.

I support Jack 100% on this subject and am so glad he chose to leave TBN. TBN will not be on the air in my house any more. We are in a day where the lines are being drawn more and more between those who stand for TRUTH and those who are deceived. I would rather stand with God's Word which is a true and sure foundation. Muslim's hate us what part of that don't we understand? What fellowship does light have with darkness?

Rick Warren, and Senior Robert Schuller, will answer to almight God in the day of judgment. Christ without a CROSS means nothing, his shedding his lifes blood for you and I, for our SALVATION on the CROSS of CALVARY. My mother and dad were Holy Ghost filled, ministers, this teaching of Chrislam would have crushed them. At least pastor Jack and Rexella Van Impe won't be accountable in the day of judgment. They have preached the word with fervence, and truth. People need to turn to God before it's to late for them, and ask for God's forgiveness, and not keep living in sin. May God bless all our minister's that is not turning from the true reading of our Holy Bible. Esther, Seale, Kaylor

I am so glad that Pastor Jack and his dear wife stand up for what they believe. I too agree that TBN is more of a show for entertainers. I want to know the truth and I enjoy these two so very much. You can see the love and care they have for each other and those who watch them. I never here them getting on the air begging for money. I will continue to follow them and their preaching till God calls us home. AMEN

JESUS IS LORD ! satan your destiny is Revelation 20:10. Thank God for Dr Jack VanImpe !!! Stand on the Word !!!

According to the word of God (The Holy Bible), no man can come to the father, except by the son. Jesus was the ONLY begotten son. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that we should not perish, but have everlasting life. God is also a jealous God who will have NO OTHER GODS BEFORE ME! To say that Islam is ok to mix with Christianity is insane, and only one who has never read The Bible would honestly say they think it would be a good thing. Remember, Jesus told us to pray for our enemies, and if you are struck on one cheek, turn to him the other. He never said go out and preach the gospel to all the world and kill any infidels who will not convert! My God is a loving and merciful god, who loves me and values me as a person even though I was born female :) Let the Christian church remain PURE!!

iuse to love your programing now i dont watch you much you have been getting rid of the best programs and too much idont thinks right comeing on in i think paul jr. and his wife are hanging around to much with motavational speakers like joel osten joyce myers paula white to name a few i believe there good people but thats it and i wonder how many in these ministers live like normal people and how like rock star and the super rich i believe god wants his workers to live in decent houses ect. but with all the people starving and homeless all over the world i dont see how they can waste so much money on themselves im not judgeing thats up to god iknow

There is no such thing as Chrislam anyway and Jack Van Impe is right about it, period. May God Bless Bulgaria do His work in people there!

Chrislam is definitely a heretical concept, but so is the overt Judaizing of Christianity and so-called 'Christian Zionists' that lurk all over the TV!

I commend the Crouches for removing this lier from their network. He obviously didn't listen to what Warren said, as noted in the bottom of the article (neither is anyone else writing here); I am however, very disappointed that they (TBN) chose to air Glenn Beck more than once, he is not even a true born-again believer. And I am not judging the man, but he is obviously a hypocrite, he was kicked off Fox for criticizing a Jewish man, George Soros, and now he is praying for the Jews in Israel? The Crouches are eating Beck's Satan sandwich if you as me.

Sounds like we all better know truth. Because the Truth will set us free. It is so sad what is happening. Times are closing in. Jesus is the only way. Keep praying saints!!!!

One must go all the way back to the days when Paul Crouch was at KITR-TV Channel 30 in Glendale and managed to leave that station with all he needed to start his own work, TBN out in Orange County. The whole operation was based on non-Christian acts, but somehow God has not held Paul and Jan responsible, yet. TBN has done some remarkable Bible story production, making what happened in the Bible, visable for all to see, and that is commndable. However, compromise is just that - compromise, and when it asks the public to belive that Christianity and Islam are compatible, it goes beyond God and becomes Satanic. More people are persecuted for their faith in the world today than at any time in all of history. The majority of these Christians are persecuted by Islamic Jihadists, just as they were by the Communists before. Play with fire, and you will get burned. Remember, the judgement is yet to come. Pitty the leaders who, for whatever reason, lead the little ones down the wrong path. It is appointed unto to man, once to die and then comes the judgement. Where do you stand on this?

It is a sad day when ministries fail to be shepherds and become wolves,I can't believe anyone could in good conscience stand before an audience and tell folks that God told him that if you give a $1000 seed, God will give you back 100 fold, Come on, Read the word for your self, It is plain to those who can read, And please get a copy of the real Bible, Not this thing called the New Living Translation which is no more than a glorified novel made palatable to the non believer.Keep preaching the word JVI, That's all that matters,This is pat of the great falling away.

Jack Van Impe has never given a specific date as to when the rapture would take place, so trying to compare him to Harold Camping is absurd. The Bible clearly states that no one knows the day or the hour, however you can tell by the signs that the time is near. What Jack Van Impe preaches is Biblical, what Camping was doing was obviously not. Before people make comments about End Times prophecy, they need to have a knowledge of what is actually taught in the Bible about it. You can not base things on what you believe and you certainly can not base comments on your opinions. The Bible is very specific and direct, so unless you've studied this deeply, your opinion doesn't amount to very much. Jack Van Impe has been studying this for decades and he knows what he is talking about. Thank God that there are people like the Van Impes who actually take a stand for what is right!

The only programs that I watch on TBN are Jack Van Impe and Hal Lindsey. I am very disappointed in losing Dr. Van Impe. He has the intestinal fortitude to speak out on Chrislam. How can one mesh together a religion that does not consider Christ as Savior with a religion that is based on Christ, the Son of God?
I am disappointed (but not surprised) that TBN is concerned about political correctness.

well, it is disappointing that this matter is all over the place. we as Christians are to resolved these things amongst ourselves, for the sake of the gospel. LOVE covers multititude of sins. if their is a disagrement than work it out people!!Preach the gospel! THE GOSPEL! nothing else works. If you have to watch and be careful on the preaching of the WORD OF GOD!!move on wherever you need too and continue to preach. let God judge these situations. stop attatking each other publicly, it is sad to see so called mature people in God, noy being able to resolved this quitly. it is a good example to the unsave people out there. shame on you!!!! just pray and let it go. If truth is not accepted walk away and let God do the judging. god sent the prophets of all to speak truth Israel did not accept them and so God judge them directly.PRAY FOR BOTH OF THESE MINISTIES, FOR IF THEY DO NOT STOP THIS MATTER JUDGEMENT SHALL COME TO THEM AND GOD WILL TAKE BOTH OF THEM OUT THE AIR WAVES! AND GIVE IT TO A DICIPLE OF GOD!!GOD HAS HIS WAYS TO DEAL WITH HIS PEOPLE, STOP, STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING!

I think TBN is an excellent tool for making money. I have to work for mine, like God informed Adam we have to do. Paul preached but also did not sponge of the Christians. People should leave the people religions and start doing Gods work and do what the bible tells us. The TBN money machine is just that a money machine. Give to the poor, Faith is free and from God not that fancy dressed person with all the makeup and jewelry on the screen. Turn off your TV go outside and do what Jesus commanded YOU to do, tell the world the Good News, tell them Jesus died and was resurrected for them. The don't have to pay it is free.

Jack is a great preacher that u can feel the love and holy spiret comming through the t.v. He's been preaching a long time n if u go back n watch him when he was younger u can c that a lot of his profices came true. The lord is on the way too save us from this evil
brainwashing like chrislam..

I believe we need facts and not hear say, this matter needs to be proven without a shadow of doubt before we go condemning our brothers in the Lord.Where there is strife there confusion and every evil work.We are not to have respect of persons in this matter We also know that Satan likes to cause division among Gods children so he can do damage to the believers and unbelievers alike. We dare not be ignorant of his devises children of God.How do we know that we have pass from death to life, because the Love for our Brothers. Posted by:Herb, your Brother in Christ Jesus

If the quotes used infer semantics then shame on Warren for allowing it. Good on VanImpe for calling it out, in fact, not false. Proof we can discuss this as christians. Just like persueing the pay grade issue with Bama. If Rick followed up on the question, Bama might not be in the US distroying position he is in. If you've read just a few verses in the coran, proof we do not prey to the same god. The 160 year later dictations, rantings of a man at war with the Jews. He saw the power of God and tried to immitate it. Amen-truth.

Today, Susan Sarrandon says the Pope is a Nazi. Yet another celebrity joining the Chrislam movement. They all think it's so Vouge to be a Muslim now. They are so stupid. Jack Van Impe is dead on correct and God Bless him for not allowing anyone to corrupt the truth, as that is what he speaks. The truth is going to be more and more difficult to see, but Chrislam is blasphemous! Jack and Rexella are so GOOD and I will see them in the eternal. Biblical Christianity is the way, as is Jesus.

I have been watching JVI for several years now. I don't know much about Rick Warren or some of the other preachers, so I can't decide whether their beliefs are true. I am familiar with Schuller. He was preaching "feel good" gospel before Joel Osteen ever saw a pulpit, and the fact that his name was mentioned makes me more accepting of what Vam Impe is saying. I believe JVI is a man who truly loves the Lord. He doesn't make a ton of money off his ministry. His set isn't some overblown, over the top expensive studio set, and unlike Jan Crouch, his wife doesn't need pink hair.
No matter what anyone says, there is NOTHING wrong with calling out christian leaders who are preaching unbiblical messages. That is not judgemental, it is smart. I believe Jesus did that with the Pharisees. Also, the bible says it is wrong to try and tell the day and hour of his return..Impe has never done this. He has only pointed to the signs mentioned in the bible. Is it now wrong to quote scripture and proclaim that the end is close?

Come on people, don't you read your Bibles? It says in the last days good will be called evil and evil will be called good. What better way to promote something evil than to use popular ministers of the Word to promote it? Just think of all the people who aren't familiar enough with scripture to see this for what it is, that will be swept up in this new "cult"!

I have watched Jack for awhile now and I agree with everything they have said and he preaches and knows the bible better than any pastor or preacher I know.....and Warren is underhandly premoting islam and it will not mix with Christianity.....it is not the same at all....people need to be careful....I have checked out alot of what Jack Van IMpe has said and I have not found anything false about any of his claims...and all his Bible quotes are right on.....

It doesn't matter what Warren and the others try to do The Lord know who it telling untrues and it isn't Jack Van Impe......and Islam will not win.......If all you read your Bible it tells of all this and the outcome......Jack Van Impe is a true follower of the true God...the only God there is....and he is coming the signs are in the Bible to...you wont know the hour or the day or even the year but you will know it is near by reading and following the Word of God.......are you ready?

Just read the thread that mentioned Glen Beck on TBN. TBN had Glen Beck on???? I have not watched TBN in quite a while. I will have to confirm that ...was it discussed that he is Mormon? I am not anti-Mormon, but I am against the spirit of anti-christ and Mormons are not Christians.

I agree w/Anna's posting of October 18, 2011

"Come on people, don't you read your Bibles? It says in the last days good will be called evil and evil will be called good. Way to go Anna.

We all have our belife, I tend to agree with the Van Impe, he did not post a date the rapture will be nor a time, even Jesus Christ doesn't know, only Father God! Soon or the other words is not a day or date, listen. My only problem with Jack is he talks too fast, so put him on tape or record, and keep going back till you actually hear it right. The two religions togeather is not a good idea, it only leads to confushion.

Some one mentioned they Van Impes were leaving broadcasting not that I am aware of, he only left the group of pompus preachers that would rather tickle your ear with deception, that to tell the truth. If anyone knows for sure if they are leaving broadcastion, let me know, I enjoy them......

I completely agree with Van Impes views according to scripture. He is a wise studier of Gods truth. He doesn't hold back when it comes to our world today and where we are headed if we don't repent and seek after holiness and righteousness.Warren and Schuller are into the new age gospel that is not the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are not to be purpose driven. We are to die to self, pick up our cross and follow Jesus on the narrow road.TBN is a slide show and comedy act.Hardly anyone on that broadcast are born again believers and sold out to the Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible is very clear what is going to happen to people who claim to be following Jesus but all they are doing is making merchandise of Him and selling the Gospel.I'm glad Van Impe broke free from the whole lot.

I must say that I have heard over past several months to not speak about other pastors. However the time has come that as Christian we must wake up. The dollar means a lot to churches. More so than the gospel. Being from around Houston Texas Joel Osten does not have a cross in his church. Might offend someone. Sorry it's time for Christians to wake up. We are now getting watered down gospel. The feel good word. We do not want to step on toes. You can call that lazy christains. Other religions sure speak up for what they believe. Athiest, homosexual,Tree hugers, global warming, same sex marriage to name a few.Have a blessed day.

Cut the baby in two

The sad truth is not many 'Christian celebrities', including Billy Graham, Jack Van Impe, Joel Osteen, John McArthur, etc - really followed what they preached.

At least Van Impe has enough sense to know that the "moon" god the Mohammedan church burners bow down to isn't the same God born again Christians bow down to.

The jerks in the big mega churches (which aren't), are lapdogs & hirlings anyhow, and only care about M-O-N-E-Y.

So for the lapdogs & hirlings to be concerned about mixing light with darkness, and truth with error is of little concern to them.

It's refreshing to see someone calling a deceiver just that, and that's what Warren, Schuller, Robertson, Copeland, Capps, Meyer, Jakes, Roth, Hinn and a whole slew of TV ACTORS/CROOKS are.

Praise God !!!

Quite an unexpectant chuckle erupted when I read Pats Nov. 27 post!

Sounds like I missed a lot this summer and fall while I was caring 24/7 for
my mother.

I am not going to comment on the topic.

You can't dispute the fact that Jack knows his material and knows God. He stands up for Christ and that is all God ever wanted us to do.

Thank God for Van Impe exposing the dangers of Chrislam and the satanic preachers pushing this evil. Van Impe is consistant and true to the Bible (the only word of God).
Van Impe is also correct that we are in the end times, not because he said so but because the Bible says so. Repent and be saved while you still can!!!!

"The sad truth is not many 'Christian celebrities', including Billy Graham, Jack Van Impe, Joel Osteen, John McArthur, etc - really followed what they preached." (from 'Pat' Nov 27, 2011) Really????

Tell me Pat, just when did Billy Graham not follow what he preached??!! The man is about as Godly as they come. Now Joel Osteen, I am concerned about. The guy lives in a 10.5 million dollar mansion. Billy Graham's lifestyle was a mere fraction of that. And what's with Osteen's rotating globe???? How about a Cross Joel!!! Globes don't save anybody. It just reminds me of a Worldly ministry. God help us.

“It is written in the Prophets, ‘And they will all be taught by God.’ Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to me – John 6:45

Unfortunately, many churches hire motivational speakers to TEACH THEIR FOLLOWERS. Read the WORD and draw close to God and he will guide you through HIS SPIRIT. Those that are born again are taught BY GOD.We are living in confusing times and we will be tempted to follow new ideals and customs. STAY TRUE TO YOUR FIRST LOVE.

Brethren please, let us remember what the article said.Van Impe left TBN, Paul Crouch regrets the decision. All of this infighting among God's people must stop now.I admire Van Impe very much but yes he make mistakes in this case maybe he did.I love TBN and Paul Crouch, they make mistakes too, "let he who not sinned cast the first stone" why do you concern yourself with the speck in your brothers eye when you ignore the beam in your own" please brethren "get a life" in Christ.

I just finish watching the episode where Jack named religious leaders who condone Chrislam. However, he claims Sufis who practice Sufism are practicing a religion of peace. Isn't this a contradiction? Sufis are muslims and many consider Sufism a denomination of Islam.

Anyone who watches TBN needs to spend more time studying the Bible. The majority of what's taught on TBN is heresy. The "blab it and grab it, name it and claim it" entitlement mentality that is promoted there is disgusting. Furthermore, what about the gay scandal involving Paul Crouch? That was swept under the rug in a flash.

The Apostle Paul had no qualms about calling other Christians out for their hypocrisy or incorrect teaching, so I'm not quite sure where this "we all need to get along" idea came from. If we were doing what we were supposed to be doing, serving others, being humble and truly following Jesus' example, we would all get along. Jesus wasn't rich... he was a poor and had no home. He was concerned about the common man and the forgotten. He wasn't selling books, collecting appearance fees, or trying to style himself in the latest fashions.

So if someone thinks these "ministers" or "men of God" on TBN are being attacked for being just, they need to think again. How can we as Christians just sit there, take all this in, with our eyes glazed over? It's nuts. Turn off that trash, get up off the sofa and do something for God. Sending money to TBN and agreeing with them in prayer is throwing away your money and time. You will have to answer to God for what you did with what you were given (your money, your talents, your skills, your time, etc.).

I believe their is only one god an his name is JESUS I have not seen anyone Get beat whiped spit on an hung on a cross an DIE FOR ME Other than JESUS THANK YOU Jesus FOR MY Life., rickie wilson

Our God is Love. The spirit of God is not of confusion . JESUS CHRIST is THE WAY the TRUTH and LIFE . Very simple. The love of God should be the foundation and motivation in every genuine disciple of JESUS CHRIST . Self must die in every preacher of the TRUTH. They must simply in humilityi allow the HOLY SPIRIT alone to speak through them at all times.

The local church is still the path for God's people-not tv preachers. Mr. Van Impe is part of the televangelist problem. 22,000 people made a commitment to Christ in the Warren church. Can't fight that. In this age of Twitter and Facebook Christian's need to know their Bible. Most don't know the Bible-only what TV preachers tell them or what they think is the "truth". Rick Warren preaches Christ crucified-then leave the man alone and stop with the lies and rumors.
