Gathering of Evangelical Roma in U.K. Reveals Gipsy Prejudice
English nobleman apologizes for hosting Christian gypsy convention.
An English nobleman has apologized to his neighbors for allowing thousands of evangelical Roma, commonly known as "gypsies," to hold a convention on his property.
The week-long Light and Life Gipsy Church convention, held annually since the 1950s, changes location every year and features Bible studies and prayer meetings under a tent. The event usually "attracts hostility" between local villagers and visiting Roma, reports The Telegraph.
This year's event at Carlton Towers in North Yorkshire proved no different.
CT has reported on the Roma revival as Christianity continues to thrive among gypsies despite continued prejudices against them.

Shouldn't it be "Gypsy"? Or is the church actually called "Gipsy"?

Why is it that people keep apologizing for standing up for Christians. As long as the Roma aren't shooting up the neighborhood or stealing from the neighborhood inhabitants, what's the problem. Are the Roma meeting in Muslim or gang neighborhoods. Christians need to stop apologizing for evangelizing especially among people like the Roma who are holding to Christianity, just like the blacks in the U.S. who continue to follow the religion their slave owners forced on them. During certain eras of American Christianity if it weren't for the black Americans there wouldn't be Christianity as whites left the church in doves. The blacks kept the churches alive so the whites had something to come back to. Ignore those who left the church or aren't true Christians and welcome those who come and stay like the Roma. Stand up for the Christians and stop apologizing. It's the non-Christians who need to apologize for bothering the Christians as they worship in peace.
