Ohiobama

As Michigan goes, so goes Ohio? The big (2,262 likely voters) Columbus Dispatch Ohio poll, showing Obama up 49-42, has Buckeye Catholics flipping from 55-44 for Bush in 2004 to 49-44 for Obama. Protestants are just about where they were four years ago; unfortunately, the poll does not break out evangelicals. Jews prefer Obama 66-31--within hailing distance of the 70 percent mark I'm predicting. And note this. Among the 10 percent of Ohio voters who profess no religion, Bush dropped nine percentage points from 2000 to 2004, to 29 percent. McCain now stands 15 points below that. Other than African Americans (also 10 percent of the voting population), no voting bloc is more pro-Obama.

Hello, I don't think this is about religion necesarily. I think this is about the fact that the party who has driven our country off a cliff is asking for the car keys again.

People will re-think votes for destruction when the destruction unfolds. The only reason this election is a race at all is Obama's complexion - if he were white, there would be no contest. Sad but true.

Palin is only doing what is best, she thinks, for the campaign. I have more of a problem with John McCain. His family is involved in liquor distribution. Am I the only one who sees this? Cindy McCain's family business is like the 8th largest beer distributor in the US. We need to rethink where peoples values really are. I don't think McCain's values represent my values. Plus, he divorced his first wife. Does Sarah Palin actually speak in tongues or not? I would like to know.

Always fun to throw the race card, isn't it.
I will vote against him because of his voting record concerning the economy. (have you even looked at his voting record?)
Leftist spending has caused this downturn, and even now they had to throw in their pork-barrel projects.
Look what the economy has done since the leftists gained control of congress in 2006.
Oops...sorry...can't let facts get in the way.
Anyone who cared about facts would not support Barack Hussein Obama.

I do not find this site to be Christian - anyone that knows the facts would not support Obama if you were a real Christian - Micah 1-7

Why is no one looking at his record, especially in the pro life area. He voted not to save children who were born alive, after a botched abortion. He is telling his girls that if they make a bad choice and have sex before marriage, he doesn't want them to live with the "mistake". Is that what God calls his children? What has that man actually done? Will someone tell me, please.

I, for one, am shocked that a Christian or Jew or Catholic would be swayed by Obama's clever answers or his 'so-called' profession of faith in Jesus Christ. The Word says to test the fruit of a fellow believer to see if he is on the right side. Isn't it clear to everyone? Sit and still yourself with the One you say you follow and ask Him to show His truth to you in this critical hour. All the politics aside with all the opinions and slander from both sides, all the past administration aside and party lines have to fade away. Not one of these candidates are perfect or are going to fix all the worlds woes but we, as Christians, Jews, Catholics, are to know the difference between truth and lies when we hear them. Please, go into your closets and search your hearts. Look at the policies and vote with Jesus standing by your side on November 4th. This nation needs us to stand for truth!

I think it is important to remember that Obama is Christian. He does not think abortion is good, but it does need to be safe. Would you rather have a 14 year old pregnant girl get an abortion with a coat hanger in an alley, or in a clean clinic?

We also need to remember that not everyone in America is Christian, and therefore won't agree with us on every issue. We should allow them to live with the same rights we have.

Furthermore, McCain's history of Divorce is somewhat troublesome for a Christian to see.

All I would like to suggest, is that you take a fair look at both candidates.

Romans 16:17-18.
The words "do not be deceived" awakened me early on the morning following the 1st debate, after I felt, uncomfortably, that Obama won. Because I could not get back to sleep, I searched Biblegateway for the word deceived. The above verse struck me right between the eyes.
God has given us free will, the ability to choose. But Christians should choose according to His word.

I am very upset that many Christian women are supporting Sarah Palin. I fear her for this reason. We are warned that Satan uses people like this to divide believers. As a Christian woman, I believe that she is using her faith to promote her own political agenda. This is far from bringing people to Christ. Her behavior and her version of"the truth" is not what I would like to see as an example of how a Christian "walks the walk".

J Williams doesn't get it. Sarah Palin is in polics to carry out the God given responsibiltity of governing her state. Someone has to do it. He may not agree with her politics or every aspect of the way she interprets the Christian faith, but he cannot judge whether her actions and witness brings people to Christ or not. How could J Williams possibly know that.

It's Obama's wife who used to speak in tongues. Palin's from a pretty normal church.
