Entropy, by Chuck Mountain
"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
- Matthew 6:19-21

What a powerful piece of art: I love the colours and shapes and the way that the message has been embedded.

A Biblical challenge for all, especially today. We should live the rest of Matthew 6 24/7 about not worrying and seeking God's kingdom first as well.

It's undeniably true, per the Gospel, that Christians must fast. Yet the four fasts of the year are ultimately not about food, but about learning self-control, frugality, resourcefulness, and sharing what we don't absolutely need for our own sustenance.
Still, we must fast. Not eating altogether is not sustainable for most people beyond a day or two. Still, we can follow the ancient practices of The Church and avoid animal flesh and dairy products, keeping a sort of vegan diet for these holy forty days, such as was given Adam and Eve in Eden.
Intentionally defying Roman Catholic customs by eating meat on Holy Friday is an exercise in obstinacy, not at all in keeping with the spirit of the fast, or in any way being respectful of twenty centuries of christian practice.
Modern people know better, and should behave better.

To James:
Tell me where, in Scripture, we are told not to eat meat during "Lent." The Roman Catholic church, of which I was once a member, makes up its own rules and changes them to suit their mind at the time. The Word of God, however, never changes and stands on its own authority. Roman catholics do not read the Bible or understand it; their "mother church" keeps the Bible away from them. Follow the Word of God only. And remember, JESUS is the WORD!
